  • Patent number: 6009658
Abstract: The present invention provides a lure that provides a unique undulating motion for attracting fish. The lure is characterized by a body having two heads that when joined together produce a ripple in the body. This causes the lure to undulate when pulled through water. In a preferred form the lure is formed from two halves joined together at a middle point. Each half has a head and a tail. In a non-fishing configuration, the lure body is flat with the heads having an overlapping/crossing relationship. When the heads are joined together in a fishing configuration, a ripple forms in the lure body.

  • Patent number: 6009659
Abstract: A flip float is fishing float comprising a floatation ball having differently, distinguishably colored first and second halves with a shaft extending through the floatation ball perpendicular to the interface between the halves. A stem assembly containing an internal weight and stops on either end of the stem assembly is disposed to slide within the shaft between the stops contained at the ends of the stem assembly. When the float is inverted, the stem assembly shifts from one stop to the other and changes the center of gravity of the float which causes the float to remain inverted. A fisherman can tell at a glance, by noticing which color is out of the water, whether his line has been struck. Attachment of differently colored, reflecting material to the ends of the tube allows the fisherman to shine a light on the float at night to determine whether his line has been struck.

  • Patent number: 6009693
Abstract: An impermeable horse blanket includes mesh material for ventilation of the horse's back while it is covered by the blanket. The mesh material is shielded by a waterproof top cover that protects it and prevents water from wetting the horse while allowing breathing through the openings of the mesh. The front edge of the top cover is attached to the blanket by means of a continuous seam along a front hem that encases a length of plastic piping sufficiently thick to provide a relief structure for raising the front edge of the cover slightly with respect to the blanket and the mesh material. The top cover is also stitched to the blanket at discrete points around its sides and back edge, such that relatively long segments of the side and back perimeter are not attached to the blanket. Thus, an air stream produced by wind or the horse's motion is able to flow between the top cover and the mesh material, thereby producing desirable ventilation while still protecting the back of the horse from rain.

  • Patent number: 6009704
Abstract: Past exhaust emission control systems have failed to clean the exhaust gas prior to mixing with the intake air. The present exhaust emission control system removes at least a portion of the exhaust constituents from a flow of exhaust gas prior to mixing with a flow of intake air. The present exhaust emission control system includes a control system for monitoring a operating parameter of an engine. The control system interprets the operating parameter within a controller and the controller causes an exhaust valve regulator to move between an open position and a closed position. Thus, the movement of the exhaust valve regulator infinitely between the open position and the closed position defines the quantity of flow of exhaust gas to be mixed with the flow of intake air and controls the emission, especially of NOx, being emitted from the engine depending on the operating parameters of the engine.
