Abstract: A new and distinct variety of rose plant of the Floribunda Class is provided which abundantly forms attractive double geranium red blossoms in the form of a well-balanced spray. The petals are slightly glossy in appearance. The buds are conical in configuration and are borne on long stems. An erect growth habit is exhibited. The foliage is dark green and contrasts nicely with the geranium red blossoms. The plant is well suited for the production of cut floral sprays under greenhouse growing conditions.
Abstract: A new and distinct grapevine variety characterized by its black seedless berries that ripen in mid season and have a unique, fruity, muscat-type flavor; juicy, moderately firm flesh; and tough skin. The berries of the new variety are borne upon very strong woody stems which are well adapted to commercial handling.
Abstract: A distinct cultivar of Osteospermum plant named ‘Ninda’, characterized by its compact and upright plant habit; numerous inflorescences per plant; white ray florets with pink lavender apices and a pink lavender base giving the appearance of a small ring around the blue disc; and inflorescences that do not close at night.
Abstract: A fitment comprising a pouring spout having a peripheral flange at one end and a closure at a second end is attached to a paperboard carton formed with a hole in a side panel. The carton is moved intermittently along a conveyor, such as that used in a filling machine. An arm having a spud oscillates about a horizontal axis parallel to the conveyor. The arm is pivoted to down position as the carton reaches the fitment attaching station so that the fitment enters the open end of the carton with the spud aligned with the carton hole. The arm is mounted on a first carriage which reciprocates horizontally in a first direction to project the closure through the hole until the flange abuts the inside of the carton panel. An ultrasonic welding horn is mounted on a second carriage which reciprocates in alignment with the first carriage in a second direction opposite the first direction. The horn welds the fitment flange to the inside of the carton panel.

Abstract: A pivot assembly for a structured vehicle seat assembly accommodates loads applied to the seatback through a safety belt restraint system carried by the seat assembly. The pivot assembly includes a connector member including an upper portion extending into a hollow channel defined by the seatback frame. The connector member is fixedly attached thereto. The pivot assembly further includes a housing attached to a lower seat structure for movement therewith between fore and aft positions. The connector member is pivotally mounted to the housing to thereby permit the seatback to rotate relative to the lower seat structure between a generally upright position and a reclined position. The pivot assembly further preferably includes a drive arrangement for rotating the connector member about a pivot axis. The pivot assembly functions to efficiently and effectively transfer loads from the seatback to the lower seat structure, and in turn, to the vehicle structure.
Abstract: A rotary electric motor has a stator core (1) with salient poles (4, 3), some of them ferromagnetic and some of them permanent-magnetic, which are spaced-apart and which are all simultaneously magnetizable by means of a magnetizing winding (5A, 5B). The rotor core has either reluctance poles (7) with intervening pole gaps and constant pole pitch, or permanent-magnetic poles (10) with constant pole pitch and without intervening pole gaps, alternating poles being of opposite polarities. Each reluctance pole (7) or permanent-magnetic pole (10) has a width which over a portion of the pole corresponds to respectively one-half of or the full pole pitch and is smaller over the remaining portion so that each pole (7 or 10) has a part (7B or 10A) which projects in a direction common to all poles. The ferromagnetic and permanent-magnetic poles (3, 4) of the stator (1) have a width corresponding to the width of the narrower portion of the poles (7 or 10) of the rotor (2).
Abstract: Light, flexible tubes are placed around optical fibers extending from the end of a cable jacket. A water impervious plug encases the end of the cable jacket and a portion of the flexible tubes. Couplers are attached to the light waveguide terminal ends and the optical couplers and the plug are placed in an opto-electronic equipment closure. The assembly is designed for use with cable television system aerial closures.
Abstract: Heteroarylpiperidines, pyrrolidines, and piperazines are useful as antipsychotic and analgesic agents. the compounds are especially useful for treating psychoses by administering to a mammal a psychoses-treating effective amount of one of the compounds. Depot derivatives of the compounds are useful for providing long acting effects of the compounds. The compounds are also useful as analgesics by administering a pain-relieving effective amount of one of the compounds to a mammal.

Abstract: A bulletproof vest which includes a vest body, the vest body having two receiving spaces respectively defined in two front panels thereof, two front openings respectively disposed at a front placket thereof in communication with the receiving spaces, and a rear opening disposed at a back panel thereof at an inner side between the receiving spaces, a front bulletproof shield mounted in the receiving spaces inside the vest body to protect the user's front side against bullet, the front bulletproof shield having two opposite extended lateral side portions respectively extended out of the rear opening at the vest body and fastened together by a hook joint, and a rear bulletproof shield fastened to the vest body at a back side by hook and loop materials to protect the user's back side against bullet.
Abstract: A wrap around article capable of being donned by a user engaged in outdoor pursuits including an ergonomically configured main body having top, side and bottom edges and which is constructed of a durable and waterproof material such as neoprene with an interior cushioning foam material. The bottom edge of the article is further defined by first and second downwardly extending legging portions which are separated by a central arcuately recessed and split crotch portion. A main belt is secured in proximity to the top edge of the article and first and second secondary straps are secured, respectively, to locations proximate the bottom edges of each of the first and second legging portions. Both the main belt and secondary straps each further include interengaging members typically provided as snap fit members forming terminating portions of an adjustable main belt and releasably interengaging Velcro® attachment portions for comfortably securing the article to the buttocks and upper legs of the user.
Abstract: An article of apparel including at least one predetermined segment which is capable of being opened furtively along at least a portion of its width by mechanical manipulation of a rigidifying material herein termed a stay (24). The stay (24) preferably comprises a pliable material. The stay (24) is affixed to the upper portion of the opening segment, which upper portion remains relatively static when the fabric is tensioned from a lower, middle or upper portion of the fabric whereby a display is revealed. The display may be on an insert (26) attached to the upper and lower edges of the opening segment and may also be provided without the insert (26) by an undershirt (40) in juxtaposition to the opening segment. A display may also be revealed on the epidermis of the wearer by the above mechanical manipulation.
