Abstract: The present invention is a hierarchical wayfinding sign system. The sign system comprises a plurality of area-finder signs for providing directions to at least one area, such as of a city. Each area-finder sign has a color code key, at least one color coded area title and a route description portion. The sign system also comprises a plurality of site-finder signs within each area for providing directions to at least one site. Each site-finder sign has a color code key. A site listing portion having a background color corresponding to the area which the site-finder sign is in and a directions portion. Preferably, the area-finder signs and site-finder signs are placed and sequenced according to a grid system. The grid system defines a plurality of portal locations, gateway locations and decision point intersections. The portal locations provide a way onto a means of access to another area. The area-finder signs provide directions to the portals. The gateway locations define an entrance into an area.

Abstract: A precisely measured removable cover for reusable beverage containers. A covering of independently resilient material is precisely cut to fit a given size and shape of pot, and the material has imprinted on it a desired promotional or advertising message and/or graphics. The covering material is removably fastened with releasable closures to the outside of the pot in such a way as not to impair significantly the natural independent resiliency of the material. Thus, dents in the pot do not generally show in the covering surface because it retains its independent resiliency, even if the blow was delivered through the covering surface. Messages may be changed as often as suits the promotional and decorative needs of the owner of the pot, so the display surface is always timely and in top condition. An optional “window” permits display of interchangeable labels on the inside of the covering.

Abstract: An apparatus for installing soffit segments below the eaves of a building. A main body with a standoff is temporarily fastened to the sub-fascia. A swing arm and a locking arm are pivotally connected to each other and also to the main body, except that a J-shaped slot in the locking arm permits the locking arm to translate, as well as pivot, with respect to the main body. A segment of soffit material is placed upon the swing arm, and the swing arm is rotated about the pivot joint on the main body creating a lever action to lift the soffit material into a horizontal position immediately below the eave. The locking arm slot is notched to lock the locking arm and swing arm, into a fixed position. The apparatus thereby steadily maintains the soffit segment in position pending its permanent attachment to the underside of the eave. Abstract: A control valve is located in a variable displacement compressor used in a refrigerant circuit. The control valve operates such that the pressure difference between two pressure monitoring points in the refrigerant circuit seeks a predetermined target value. A controller determines the target value of the pressure difference in accordance with external information that represents the required cooling performance. The target value of the pressure difference is represented by a duty ratio applied to the control valve. When the acceleration pedal is pressed beyond a predetermined level, the controller limits the duty ratio. Therefore, the compressor torque does not hinder quick vehicle acceleration. Also, the cooling performance is not lowered unless it is necessary.

Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid desiccant air conditioner including an absorption air conditioner and a liquid desiccant dehumidifier. The dehumidifier includes a liquid desiccant absorber for absorbing moisture contained in ambient air entering the dehumidifier and passing through the desiccant absorber. A boiler is provided for boiling partially preheated dilute liquid desiccant to evaporate moisture to reconstitute the liquid desiccant into concentrated liquid desiccant. In a preferred embodiment, a first heat exchanger fluidly communicates with the desiccant absorber and a second heat exchanger. The first heat exchanger is operable to transfer heat from the concentrated liquid desiccant to the dilute liquid desiccant directed to the first heat exchanger from the desiccant absorber to raise the temperature of the dilute liquid desiccant to a first temperature.

The locking cap has an expandable sleeve and a spreader member. As a key is turned, the spreader member is drawn into the expandable sleeve which is urged outward. The outward movement of the expandable sleeve increases a frictional component such that the expandable sleeve becomes frictionally locked within the tubular opening.
