Abstract: To provide an air cleaner fitting structure for a motorcycle that can form an ideal frame line without being limited by the position of the internal combustion engine and the fuel supply system, which can bring about favorable maintenance conditions. In an air cleaner fitting structure for a motorcycle having a vehicle frame in which a pair of right and left center frames extending downward, connected to a mainframe extending rearwards from a head pipe, and having an internal combustion engine arranged in front of the center frame below the main frame, a connecting tube for connecting an air cleaner arranged further rearward from the center frame and a fuel supply system at a front thereof is divided into front and rear halves. Furthermore, a division line between the front and rear halves of the connecting tube is located rearward from the center frame of the vehicle frame.

The receiver array can be used for borehole seismology as well as marine bottom surface seismology. The receiver array has a plurality of receivers connected together by a signal cable. The apparatus is further provided with a fluid conduit running essentially parallel to the signal cable. The fluid conduit has a plurality of receiver deployment sections which are located proximate to respective receivers. The receiver deployment sections are responsive to an increase in pressure within the fluid conduit, causing the receiver deployment sections to operate to press the receiver against the inside of a wellbore or to a marine bottom surface. Abstract: A caliper for a disk brake consists of a housing having first and second brake pads mounted therein to receive a brake disk therebetween. At least one of the brake pads is advanced along an advancement axis towards the other brake pads by an actuator within the housing. During actuation the brake pads impart a compression force on a brake disk disposed therebetween which results in a tensile force in the housing parallel to the advancement axis. A reinforcing member operatively engages the housing to oppose the tensile force on the housing. A method of making a caliper housing as described above consists of forming the housing as a single piece of metal and preloading the housing with a compression force parallel to the advancement axis to oppose the tensile force. Preloading may be accomplished by forming a pair of bores in the housing radially space from the advancement axis with the bores having an internally threaded portion at one end.

Abstract: A roller conveyor having side wings spaced apart from each other for accommodating rollers that are arranged between these side wings successively in the direction of conveyance. These rollers are rotatably supported at both ends by means of trunnions extending into these rollers on their face sides, and are driven by a motor. In addition, at least one roller is in driving connection via a gearing with a driving motor arranged on a side wing on the driving side. In this case, the driving motor may be designed in the form of a box-like section which is open on the side facing away from the rollers. In this case, the driving motor and the gearing, may be combined in a geared motor, and are accommodated within the box-like section.

Abstract: An endless roller chain conveyor of the over/under type supporting carriers or pallets which independently travel along the horizontal runs of the conveyor upon demand, while the roller chain is allowed to continuously run at a constant speed. The chains are commercially available multi-strand roller chain. The carriers or pallets may be stopped and held along the horizontal runs of the conveyor (both top and bottom) using mechanically driven stop assemblies located at required load, unload, holdback, or workstation positions assigned to the particular application. The carriers or pallets are driven on the roller chains by way of guide sprockets, alignment bars, and support rollers. The guide sprockets are attached to an adjustable clutch assembly of the type, which allows for adjustment of the rolling resistance to accommodate the particular load requirements of the specific application for a particular machine.

Abstract: A roller adapted to be rotatably mounted on a bushing of each link assembly of a chain comprises a split roller composed of two roller segments assembled together. The split roller can be easily mounted on the bushing from a radial direction of the bushing even though the bushing is integrally formed with links to form a single link assembly. The link assembly has a one-piece structure and hence is improved in strength and rigidity. The bushing of the link assembly is free from damage or break even when the chain is subjected to a great tensile force.
