Abstract: A guitar bridge having a body comprised of a base and a main portion with a plurality of slots formed in the main portion of the body. A plurality of holes are formed in the body and located within the plurality of slots. A resonance chamber is formed in the main portion of the body. A plurality of coupling screws secure the body of the bridge to the body of the musical instrument. Strings are threaded through the bridge and through the compression screws so that dual compression of the bridge is achieved with the use of a two-way pressure system formed by the pressure of the coupling screws and the instrument strings.

Abstract: A bridge for attaching strings to a musical instrument. The bridge has a body comprised of a base and a main portion with saddle chambers formed in the main portion. Holes are formed within the saddle chambers. Each saddle chamber houses a saddle members therein. The saddle members have adjusting elements that both adjust the position of the string by changing the position of the saddle member, and adjust the position of the string on the saddle member. A plurality of coupling screws secure the bridge to the body of the instrument. Strings are threaded over the saddle member, through the bridge and out through the compression screws where they are secured or knotted.

Abstract: Harmonica structures designed for enhancing harmonica play are disclosed. In one aspect, a reed comb is provided with a common bridge having reeds formed integrally therewith. The reed plate has a plurality of reed slots formed therein and is adapted to receive the reeds of the reed comb into corresponding slots formed in the reed plate. A stepped portion formed in the reed plate is adapted to receive a reed of the reed comb therein to permit substantial encasement of the reed within the reed slot. A key benefit of this arrangement is to resist leakage of air between the reed plate and the flanks of the reed during harmonica play. The reed plate can also include a first stepped portion upon which the roots of the reeds are positioned and a second stepped portion positioned adjacent to the tips of the reeds. Other structures are disclosed that include a radiused surface formed on a portion of the reed or on the surface of the reed slot in which the reed is positioned.

Abstract: A process for the automatic selection of musical or tonal compositions to be replayed from a collection of musical or tonal compositions includes the step of assigning evaluation data to each of said compositions which describe its characteristics. Parameters are established describing a target corresponding to a selected behavior of an audience. Status data is generated based on an evaluation of audience behavior. The parameters are then compared with the status data to generate requirement data based on the comparison. The requirement data is compared with the evaluation data and a composition is selected based on the comparison of the requirement data with the evaluation data. A device is also provided for the automatic selection of musical or tonal compositions.

Abstract: User enters information of a melody or other musical material and, when necessary, desired parameters. The input information and parameters are transmitted to a server via a network or other communication media. On the basis of the received musical material and parameters, the server creates content by imparting the musical material with an additional value corresponding to the parameters. For example, in the case where the musical material is a melody of a music piece, the server creates, as the content, harmony information, backing information, accompaniment information, musical score picture information, or the like. There may also be created test-listening or test-viewing sample content corresponding to the regular content. The user receives the sample content from the server, and purchases the regular content when the sample content has been found to be satisfactory as a result of the test listening or test viewing.

Abstract: A method of removing moisture efficiently in the gas supply system by evacuation at normal temperature without using the baking method. The method involves flowing a gas to remove moisture in the gas supply system with the flow pressure of the gas to remove moisture set at not lower than a minimum pressure at which the gas flow becomes viscous and not higher than a water saturated vapor pressure at a flow temperature of the gas to remove moisture. The gas to remove moisture achieves a viscous flow when a mean free path of gas molecules is smaller than a diameter of piping of the gas supply system. If the gas for removing moisture is evacuated at normal temperature under such conditions, the adsorbed moisture on an inside surface of the piping and in the valves and filters can be removed effectively.

More particularly, a method of pulling up a single crystal from a nitrogen-doped silicon material melt while allowing the single crystal to grow is provided which comprises employing a passing or residence time in the temperature range of 1150-1050° C. of not less than 50 minutes and/or a passing or residence time in the temperature range of 1050-950° C. of not more than 40 minutes in the step of pulling up of the single crystal. Further, a method of manufacturing epitaxial wafers is provided which comprises allowing an epitaxial layer on the surface of silicon wafers sliced from the single crystal pulled up by the method mentioned above.

Abstract: In a coating apparatus for supplying a mixed solution of a resist solution and a thinner onto a wafer from a nozzle, the nozzle is connected to a mixed solution supply pipe, and the resist solution and the thinner are supplied to the mixed solution supply pipe from a resist solution supply pipe and a thinner supply pipe respectively through a junction pipe. The diameter of the junction pipe is set smaller than those of other supply pipes, whereby the resist solution and the thinner can be mixed efficiently in the junction pipe, and as a result the wafer is coated with the mixed solution so that a uniform film thickness can be obtained within the surface of the wafer.

Abstract: A cluster tool includes a block which is formed with an inner high vacuum chamber, at least two loadlock chambers that are in fluid communication with the high vacuum chamber, and at least two slot valves for selectively isolating each loadlock chamber from the high vacuum chamber. The cluster tool also includes a high vacuum pump that is connected to the high vacuum chamber and a water pump comprising a refrigeration unit and a cryoplate. The cryoplate is cooled by the refrigeration unit and projects into the high vacuum chamber between the loadlock chambers. Selective operation of the slot valves allows a single water pump to serve a plurality of loadlock chambers. Each loadlock chamber includes a refrigerated platen that projects into the loadlock chamber, a heat lamp assembly that radiates into the loadlock chamber, and a tray for holding the wafer therein. The platen has a cooling system for selectively cooling the wafer, and selective radiation of the heat lamp assembly degasses the wafer.

Abstract: A vacuum processing apparatus is capable of increasing the speed of exhaust of residual gas. With the reaction chamber formed in the vacuum vessel made smaller than the assistance chamber, the thin film is grown by introducing the raw material gas into the reaction chamber after moving the substrate stage toward the reaction chamber and decreasing the conductance of evacuation of the reaction chamber. When exhausting the residual gas by vacuum pumping, the substrate stage is moved into the assistance chamber thereby increasing the conductance of evacuation of the reaction chamber. Pressure in the reaction chamber is increased when growing the thin film and decreases when exhausting the residual gas by vacuum pumping.
