Abstract: A new and improved door construction and method of manufacturing same are advantageously provided. The door includes first and second formed door panels, each having an identical or substantially similar L-shaped profile defined by an elongated back portion and a relatively shorter base portion. The first and second formed door panels are placed in opposed nesting relation so that the back portions and the base portions are arranged in opposed facing relation to each other. A hollow region is thus defined by and between the first and second formed door panels. The panels are temporarily held in alignment to each other in this relationship by an adhesive, preferably through use of a suitable internal core material secured between the panels by the adhesive. The panels are thereafter permanently joined by laser welding performed along first and second seams.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for making aromatic metal products which have splendid appearance with various colors and emit fragrance. Suitable for use in fancy goods, the aromatic metal products are prepared by sintering a pre-molded body between 900 and 1,400° C. to give a porous metallic sintered body with a porosity of 10-20%; cleansing the porous metallic sintered body to remove impurities therefrom; etching the cleansed sintered body in a vacuum furnace and plating it with Ti by sputtering; and introducing fragrance into the Ti-plated sintered body. The pre-molded body is made by pressuring a mixture containing a metal powder with a mean particle size of 100 &mgr;m or greater and a binder at room temperature under a pressure of 100-600 MPa. The introduction of a perfume can be achieved in a forcible manner in which the sintered body is charged in a vacuum bath to remove inner air therefrom, followed by the infiltration of the perfume.

Abstract: A fishing lure with a modified ammunition cartridge case as the main body is provided. The empty cartridge case is modified by removing the primer cap and drilling one or a plurality of holes in the body of the case, for the purpose of scent distribution. Scent producing material is placed in the interior of the cartridge case and as the lure is pulled through the water a superior scent trail is spread behind the lure, caused by water washing through the case. The modified case provides a better method of both retaining the scented material and distributing the scent in a controlled manner. Preferably a single or treble hook and spinner blades or other decorative devises are attached by means of a wire connector passing through the shell casing to facilitate connection of all related parts.

Abstract: A quick set fishing rig and fish hook for live bait is disclosed. The hook includes a main portion, at least one hook portion, and a shank for releasably anchoring the hook into the body of the live bait. The shank extends substantially straight out from the main body portion of the hook and preferably has at least one stabilizing fin provided thereon. The shank is inserted under the skin of the live bait, thus anchoring the hook portions on the live bait. The stabilizing fins of the shank prevent the hook from rotating about the shank axis while in use, and assists the hook to quickly release from the bait when a fisherman or woman sets the hook. The hook is preferably used in connection with a rig providing for the adjustability of the length between a front single hook of the rig and the hook of the present invention.

Abstract: A garden hot house for growing plants in a protected enhanced environment is made up of a translucent cover, a support frame, a mulch sheet, a temperature regulating system, at least one peg, and a quantity of dense material. The mulch sheet covers the soil surface and acts to retain heat and water within the soil. The frame is placed between mulch sheet and the cover and supports the cover, which is then placed upon the frame and secured to a base by the pegs. This defines a protective chamber. The temperature regulating system is a dark plastic tube of a desired volume filled with water placed within the chamber to moderate fluctuations in temperature. The garden hot house can be vented in a multiplicity of ways to regulate temperature while still remaining structurally stable and provides an enhanced growing environment for plants well into the plant's development.
