  • Patent number: 6385850
Abstract: A razor has a blade unit containing a plurality of spaced blades. The blades are mounted in a manner which enables them to be readily moved apart to provide access to the space between the blades to facilitate the cleaning and removal of any lodged material from between the blades. Upon completion of cleaning, the blades are returned to their original position and are ready to again be used for shaving. A number of exemplary embodiments of the invention are described. Under an additional aspect, the invention is directed to a method of cleaning a multiple-bladed razor. Under the method, the blades are spread apart and the area between the blades is cleaned with a stream of water or the like. The blades are then returned to their original positions for further use in shaving.

  • Patent number: 6385856
Abstract: An economical, compact guide for introducing multiple bends in one or more planes in a pipe, conduit, or other tube-like item. The guide has a gauge section rotatably attached to a mounting section and is affixable by means of a non-deforming clamp to the end of a pipe segment to be bent. The gauge section has a bend-angle gauge and a bend-plane level. The bend-angle gauge is a plumb arm mounted so as to measure and indicate the bending of a pipe to any degree of bend. The bend-plane guide is a 360° level mounted on an upper face of the plumb arm. Multiple bends are made in the pipe segment without removing or re-aligning the guide. This ensures that the initial reference position is maintained throughout the bending process and ensures that all bends are in the proper bend-plane, thus avoiding “dogging” between successive bends.

The structure is supported by long or short caps, which also top the structure to create stability. The caps and the frame fronts and backs all have corresponding notches that fit, each piece into the other, in a perpendicular fashion, thereby building the structure. Beginning with the caps, the structure can be built up multiple levels with multiple frames, each stacking perpendicularly on the previous, and can be built outwardly in the same fashion. The photo is centered naturally within the notches in the separate frame front and back pieces.

  • Patent number: 6385887
Abstract: An adaptor (10) which allows a standard cartridge firing action to be used with a muzzle loading firearm (100) is described. The adaptor includes a breech plug (12) and a nipple (16) and is configured to be inserted into the barrel (108) of the firearm adjacent the receiver (104). The breech end (16A) of the nipple (16) has a conical shape. In use, a standard ignition cartridge (150) with a casing (150A) and a head (150B) with a primer (154) mounted in the flash hole (152) in the head is loaded into the receiver of the firearm. Next, the ignition cartridge is moved into the breech end (108A) of the barrel such that the casing extends into the center bore (14) of the breech plug and the breech end of the nipple extends into the end (152B of the flash hole in the head of the cartridge and is adjacent the primer. When the firearm is fired, the firing pin (114A) contacts the primer which ignites the primer.

  • Patent number: 6385888
Abstract: An improved trigger mechanism for a single action revolver. The device features a pawl which rotationally mounts upon a hammer having a firing position in which a hammer is cocked, and having an at rest position in which the hammer is biased against the revolver frame. The pawl has an engagement end which cooperatively engages and rotates an indexing ratchet of a rotating cylinder at a first end. A means for disengagement of the engagement end of the pawl from cooperative engagement with the indexing ratchet when hammer is in said at rest position is provided by a second section extending from an axis pin providing a mount for the pawl on the trigger hammer. A cam end having a length determined to provide operative contact with an interior wall surface of a shaft formed in said revolver causes a rotation of the pawl upon the axis pin thereby laterally translating said engagement end out of operative engagement with the cylinder ratchet when the hammer is rotated to said resting position.

Abstract: A gun lock assembly formed of two major components, a chamber blocking rod member and a locking rod member. The chamber blocking rod member has a shank portion that is longer than the gun barrel to be blocked and a 90 degree extension terminating in a closed loop. The locking rod member has an open end and and a locking aperture end. The opening in the open loop is of sufficient width to accept the smaller of the cross sectional dimensions of the the trigger guard and the locking aperture end is sized to be introduced into the closed loop of the blocking rod member. The open loop of the locking rod is assembled to the trigger guard and the locking end is introduced into the closed loop and locked. The blocking rod member can not be removed without unlocking and removing the lock.

  • Patent number: 6385890
Abstract: A firearm locking mechanism for handguns primarily comprising a locking assembly with first and second ends, said first end having first and second arms bifurcated parallel and spaced apart to receive a handgun. The locking assembly further has an elongated member, which serves as latching means to remove the firearm from the locking assembly. Interacting with the elongated member is a locking system controlled by a key, giving the authorized user the ability to set the firearm locking assembly in a “locked” or “unlocked” mode. The firearm locking assembly prevents the removal of the handgun when the trigger guard is obstructed within the first and second arms. The present invention is primarily utilized with firearms such as pistols and revolvers.

Abstract: A bayonet lug clamp and mount assembly is provided for use with a rifle having a T-shaped bayonet lug with slots formed in a central portion thereof. A housing is configured to slidingly engage the bayonet lug. A lever incorporating an accessory mounting rail is pivotally coupled to the housing for movement towards and away therefrom. A jaw is movably mounted in the housing and has teeth that are aligned with the slots in the bayonet lug when the housing is slid thereon. A piston/cylinder assembly is coupled to the lever and to the jaw. When the lever is pivoted towards the housing with the teeth aligned with the slots in the bayonet lug, the piston/cylinder assembly presses the jaw against the bayonet lug as the teeth engage the slots. The lever can be locked to the housing in order to assure that the clamp does not move when the rifle is fired.

Abstract: A collapsible animal decoy is disclosed wherein a cover is disposed over a frame having a plurality of struts pivotally attached to an opening mechanism slidably disposed on an elongated shaft, forming an animal shape having a body, neck and head portion. The opening mechanism has an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the opening mechanism is positioned at the top end of the elongated shaft and the plurality of struts are extended outward. In the closed position, the opening mechanism is positioned at the handle end of the elongated shaft and the plurality of struts are collapsed against the elongated shaft for storage and transport. In addition, the struts freely rotate around the elongated shaft to give the decoy a realistic movement. A means for emitting an animal call may be incorporated into the shaft such that the rotation of the frame causes the decoy to emit the animal call.
