Abstract: A brush attachment for vacuum cleaners comprises a housing consisting of a bottom part and a top part, a turbine wheel driven by the suction air stream, a brush roller driven by the turbine wheel, and a suction tube connection constructed in the form of a swivel/tilting joint. The brush roller is disposed in a brush roller chamber which has a bottom opening constructed as a suction orifice. The turbine wheel is disposed in a turbine chamber with a connection duct of the swivel/tilting joint. The duct is pivotable about the turbine wheel. The bottom part of the housing has webs which form the back wall of the brush roller chamber and the side walls of the turbine chamber and define a flow chamber. A nozzle made as a separate part is inserted in the flow chamber and contains an incident flow duct for alignment of the suction air stream flowing against the turbine wheel. The top part of the housing has connection webs which bear against the webs and against the top of the nozzle.

The sample and the field lot are identified and identification data associating the sample with its field lot is generated. Each field lot sample is separately processed to produce cotton lint. The cotton lint is assayed to determine a relative quality of the lint or the sample. The assay information from the several samples is used to establish a formula for blending cotton from a plurality of field locations to form a blend of a desired intermediate quality. The identification data is used for locating modules to be blended from the various field lots. The located modules are delivered to dispersers and the dispersers are used to disperse cotton boll clumps from the modules in amounts necessary to form the desired amount of the desired blend of cotton boll clumps. Abstract: A method of preventing unauthorized driving of vehicle including providing a steering column and a steering wheel; connecting the steering wheel with the steering column for driving; disconnecting the steering wheel from the steering column when a driving is no longer needed and a driver wants to remove the steering wheel so that it can not be used by an unauthorized person; and forming a connecting unit for connecting the steering wheel to the steering column so that the connecting unit is designed individually for each vehicle, and once the steering wheel of a vehicle is removed from the steering column, any different steering wheel can not be connected with the steering column.

Abstract: A method for setting one or more hydrodynamic bearing gaps in a disc drive spindle motor is provided. In one embodiment, a method setting one or more hydrodynamic bearing gaps in a disc drive spindle motor includes disposing a rotary member against one or more working surfaces such that substantially no gap exists therebetween and inducing creep between the rotary member and the working surfaces. The creep creates a bearing gap therebetween the rotary member and at least one of the working surfaces. The creep may be induced by thermally cycling the motor components or applying a force to a tool coupled to a member having at least one of the working surfaces disposed thereon.

Abstract: A disposable razor unit having a razor head is assembled with a handle. The handle has attachment means comprising at least one prong which extends outward from the handle. The prong has a tooth on the underside of the end opposite the handle. The razor head has a chamber which receives the attachment means of the handle when the razor head and the handle are fastened together. The chamber has a clearance slot and a locking shoulder at its innermost, central point into which the tooth of the prong fits to fasten the razor head and handle together. The fit between the handle and the razor head is such that the razor head may be removed by a forward force exerted on the top of the chamber by the user, however the fit is sufficient that the handle and the razor head will not become separated by normal forces encountered during shaving.

Abstract: The present invention is a cable preparation tool which allows the preparation of a coaxial cable having a corrugated outer conductor to receive a connector in one step. The tool allows for the control of trim dimensions for each component of the cable without measuring. No matter whether the end of the cable before preparation is at the crest or valley of the outer conductor, the tool provides the correct trim dimensions for each component and stops cutting when these dimensions are reached. The cable preparation tool includes a main body having a cable receiving end, cable receiving area for stripping of the cable such that the crests and valleys are exposed, and a crest and valley locating system as part of the main body for locating the exposed crests and valleys of the corrugated conductor. The crest and valley locating system includes at least one valley locator unit extending into the cable receiving area and a spring that biases the valley locator unit into the cable receiving area.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a beard trimmer with an internal vacuum system that collects the hair clippings generated by the trimmer during grooming. The beard trimmer is comprised of two main mechanisms, a beard trimmer and a vacuum powered suction unit. The beard trimmer with internal vacuum is comprised of an external body, which houses a motor, wiring, and a power source. Additionally, the beard trimmer casing also houses the vacuum powered suction unit. The beard trimmer also includes of a pair of reciprocating cutting blades and an electric motor that drives the blades. The vacuum powered suction unit includes an air intake, a filter unit, a hamster cage or turbine style impeller, a filter unit housing, and at least one external exhaust port. The suction unit is designed to capture the clippings created by the blades during grooming. The resultant trimmer allows an operator to trim facial hair while simultaneously collecting hair clippings created by the trimming process.

The trimmer head accepts a spool of cutting line and spins extended line to trim, for example, unwanted vegetation in lawns. Upon actuation of the automatic line feeding mechanism, damaged or broken cutting line is replaced with additional cutting line from the spool. The mechanism is actuated remotely (electrically or manually) and eliminates the requirement to bump the trimmer head on the ground thus reducing wear and tear on the trimmer.
