The body of each box portion forms a closed space which contains a liquid and defines a plurality of tank compartments. Baffles separate at least some of the tank compartments. The liquid's adaptive distribution between tank compartments facilitates the toilet seat portion's gradual displacement between lowered raised positions, biasing the toilet seat portion to one of those positions. The initial inflow of water passes into the first conduit and through the through holes of the lower reservoir to initiate the evacuation of the contents of the lower reservoir through the trap way into a drain pipe.

The inner and outer bearing surfaces which face each other include cylindrical side surfaces and upstream and downstream end wall surfaces defining a passage. The flow of water to lubricate the bearing surfaces is arranged to exert a net axial force that spaces at least one of the sets of end surfaces out of contact with each other to reduce friction and also lubricates and separates the cylindrical side surfaces.

Abstract: A shower assembly for use as a stationary shower or a hand-held shower includes a housing, a hose and a shower head. The housing includes a plurality of sides, an inlet, and an at least one outlet where said housing is concealed behind a shower wall adjacent thereto and protects the shower wall from water damage. A hose is freely disposed within the housing having a first end connected to a water supply pipe, a second end connected to the shower head on the exposed side of the shower wall and defining a fluid engagement between the water supply pipe and the shower head. The hose is extractable from a housing outlet when the user pulls on the hose second end during use as a hand-held shower and is retractable into the housing during use as a stationary shower and the hose is concealed from the user's view. Abstract: A lift is provided for placement over a conventional toilet. The lift includes a raising and lower mechanism which assists users in sitting and standing, a washing mechanism which is used to wash the lower extremities after toilet use, and a drying mechanism which is used to dry the lower extremities after use of the washing mechanism. The lift can be placed inside a housing which is useful for concealing the lift. Advantageously, the washing mechanism is adapted to be stored in a position which is unlikely to be soiled by waste entering the toilet basin and shiftable to a position wherein the lower body parts of a toilet user can be washed. Additionally, the shiftability of the washing mechanism provides a more thorough wash due to its ability to direct a water stream in any direction.

Abstract: A portable double level cradle rocking bassinet including a standard bassinet onto which is formed lower fixed rockers and also formed elongated foldout rockers. The bassinet has a frame portion to which are attached the lower fixed rockers on either end of the frame portion. When the bassinet is to be rocked, the individual simply unfolds the bassinet to the open condition, places the baby in the frame portion and then rocks the bassinet back and forth on the lower fixed rockers at a ground level. The bassinet also has foldout rockers which can be unfolded to the extended condition, so that the bassinet can be rocked back and forth at a bed or chair level. The foldout rockers can be stored by folding upwardly against the underside of the frame portion and are retained thereto by mating fasteners.
