Abstract: A retainer clip is shown for retaining a device through an opening in a panel such as a printed circuit board, enclosure wall or similar structure. The clip surrounds the portion of the device projecting through the aperture and by a single longitudinal motion engages cooperating portions of the device to secure the device at the panel opening. The clip includes means for detenting in the assembled, locking position to prevent accidental release of the device from the secured, mounted condition.

Abstract: In a buckle of a type in which an insertion body of a male member is inserted into a housing of a female member, the male member is comprised of the insertion body and a belt attaching frame, the insertion body and the belt attaching frame being formed separately while a base end of the insertion body and the belt attaching frame are linked with each other so as to be freely rotatable, and the female member is comprised of the housing and a belt attaching frame, the housing and the belt attaching frame being formed separately while a front end of the housing and the belt attaching frame are linked with each other so as to be freely rotatable. Consequently, the buckle can readily fit a configuration of a surface of a product to be used, particularly a curved state thereof, thereby achieving a stable tightening.

The repair apparatus includes at least one vertically adjustable rigid bracket attached to the sliding door and at least one repair roller attached to the bracket such that the repair roller is situated in moveable contact with and atop the lower track and supports at least a portion of the weight of the sliding door thereby transferring the weight from the defective wheel(s) within the door thereby facilitating the sliding of the door along the lower track without the necessity of removing or disassembly of the sliding door and without having to remove, replace or repair the defective wheel(s).

The tool assembly is comprised of a brace member, a pair of elongated threaded bars with handles, and a cooperating pair of plate members. The threaded bars are positioned in threaded apertures of the brace structure whereby turning of the threaded bars cause the assembly to engage and push against the press plates to pull and remove the torque converter from the transmission.

Abstract: Method of mounting an electric component on a component-mounting surface such that the electric component held by a suction nozzle under a negative pressure is forced onto the component-mounting surface, with termination of application of the negative pressure to the suction nozzle, and the suction nozzle is then moved away from the component-mounting surface, the method comprising the steps of: initiating application of a positive pressure to a passage communicating with the suction nozzle, before the electric component is forced onto the component-mounting surface; maintaining the application of the positive pressure to the passage, until the suction nozzle is spaced apart from the electric component by at least 0.4 mm; and then exposing the passage to the atmosphere. Also disclosed is an electric-component mounting system arranged to practice the method.

The plating is preferably performed on ball pad areas and/or bonding pad areas being the top layer of a multi-layer PCB. A metal layer that later forms circuit patterns serves to supply a power for plating ball pads for solder-ball bonding and bonding pads for wire-bonding with gold (Au). Thus, the gold (Au)-plating is performed prior to forming the circuit patterns. A positive-type first photoresist is coated on the metal layer to form the ball pads and the bonding pads. The coated first photoresist is also used to form circuit patterns. The gold (Au)-plated metal layer of ball pad areas and the bonding pad areas are protected by a second photoresist, which is reactive with a larger quantity of light than the first photoresist. Both first and second photoresists can be concurrently developed.

The orientation sensor comprises a sensor housing defining a closed internal chamber including a first internal surface. The first electrically conductive pattern includes an arrangement of electrically isolated segments in a predetermined configuration. A flowable material is contained within the internal chamber, which flowable material contacts a portion of the first internal surface dependent upon the value of the particular orientation parameter. An electrical property is measurable between the segments such that the orientation parameter can be determined using the output signal based only on the electrical property and, therefore, only on the portion of the first internal surface contacted by the flowable material.

A device according to the invention may be attached to existing earthmoving equipment, preferably in the place of a conventional bucket used on a track driven or tractor mounted backhoe attachment or other functional portion of a hydraulic excavator that is adapted to receive a bucket. A device according to the present invention may be caused to be operated beneath the surface of the ground, as in cases where it is desired to remove root masses and whole trees, such as mesquite and other species. In an alternate embodiment, a device according to the invention is useful above-ground for grasping small cedar trees and the like by means of grasping sabres affixed to the device. Methods for the use of such devices are provided.

The gun barrel has a firing pin associated with a chamber of the gun barrel and the firing pin is activated by a trigger assembly. When the firing pin is activated by the trigger assembly, a striking surface of the firing pin strikes the primer and discharges the round of ammunition to propel the bullet out of the opposite end of the gun barrel. The firing pin, the interior surface of the barrel, or some other surface which contacts the shell casing carries a unique identifying indicia. Upon discharge of the round of ammunition, the component of the firearm carrying the unique identifying indicia transfers an impression of the unique identifying indicia to an exterior surface of the shell casing to identify that the shell casing was discharged by that firearm.

In this embodiment, the sides of an ammunition magazine are extended, either by molding or affixing a handle directly to the sides of the magazine, to provide a handle. This embodiment provides a more steam-lined handle adapted for use specifically in the extraction of magazines from ammunition pouches and other storage means.

Abstract: An off-axis adapter for an offset fishing rod coupling formed from a single piece of sheet material. The adapter includes a sleeve having two ends. The two ends of the sleeve are each attached to a support and each support has a rod mount and a sleeve connection. The rod mounts each attach to a primary rod at mounting points, and the sleeve connections attach to the sleeve proximate to each respective end of the sleeve. The sleeve receives and maintains a secondary rod in a predetermined off-axis position and angle in relation to the primary rod. Because the adapter is attached from the length or side of the host or primary rod, the installation of the adapter does not require matching dimensions of a host rod and a bushing. The adapter can be installed onto a side portion of a fishing rod that has already been built and does not require removal of fishing rod components.
