Abstract: A packaging device is provided for packaging at least one disc-shaped item such as a CD-ROM, together with a beverage container having a cover with a central straw opening. The packaging device includes a cylindrical lid adapted to receive and retain a disc-shaped media in a water-tight compartment, which lid loaded with the disc-shaped media is then sealingly engaged to a beverage container. The lid includes a cylindrical inner structure extending from the inner surface defining central support for the media such that the media is allowed to rotate, while limiting its linear movement. The cylindrical inner structure includes an opening so as to allow the passage therethrough of a straw. A sealing member is sealed to the lid after the disc is inserted so as to seal the disc within a dry, water-tight chamber. The cylindrical lid is attached to the beverage container by means of a compression fit.

The opening tab (39) is connected to an outer wrapping (33) made of foil in such a manner that the opening tab (39) moves into an opening position or is removed when the outer wrapping (33) is opened or removed.

Abstract: A box for use in packaging comprises a tubular sleeve (10) defining a through passage, a planar divider (12) extending across the passage, a drive belt (50) which passes around the divider, a tray (40) and a pull-out tab member (41) each extending into the passage and attached to the drive belt. In the closed position the tray (40) and tab member (41) are fully inside the tubular sleeve. When the tab member (41) is pulled out of the sleeve (10) in a first direction, the drive belt (50) is forced to slide around the divider and the tray (40) moves out of the sleeve (10) in the opposite direction. The tray (40) can be used to house any consumer product, for example CDs, confectionery, pharmaceuticals. The tab member (41) can be used to convey information to the consumer.

Abstract: A hangable storage container for a compact disk includes first and second flexible sheets forming a pocket, and a third flexible sheet folded to have two halves and attached to a mounting area of the first flexible sheet to confine a passage for receiving two hook bars. The hook bars are slidable along the passage between a retracted position where anchoring ends thereof are disposed in the passage, and an extended position where the anchoring ends extend outwardly of the passage so as to be held by two anchoring supports for hanging the storage container in an upright state.

Abstract: There is disclosed herein a travel bag for containing a golf bag and clubs therein formed of a fabric and rigid panel laminated structure. The travel bag includes a bottom having a rigid cap with one or more wheels for allowing the case to be rolled via the wheels. It includes a front side having first and second zipper covers for opening and providing access to internal respective shoe and clothing compartments. The front side has a further zipper closure for allowing the entire front section of the bag to be opened to gain access to the golf bag and clubs compartment. The top includes a handle, and the left side and bottom have laminated therein and L-shaped rigid panel to facilitate movement of the travel case in the fashion of a hand truck. The back, right and top sides have laminated therein rigid panels for providing, along with the L-shaped panel, protection for golf clubs stored within the bag.

Abstract: Coil strapped nails and a nailing device using coil strapped nails are provided. The coil may be provided with steel nails (1) having a length of 14 to 25 mm and a shaft diameter of 2 to 3 mm. The nails are held by wires (2,3) 6.5 to 7.5 mm apart, wherein the wires are preferably quenched and tempered. In the center of the coil a wrapping sleeve may be provided having due clearance for the nail heads.

Abstract: An enclosure for a medical pumping device generally comprises a front shell, a back shell and a polymeric substrate interposed therewith. The polymeric substrate comprises at least one gasket seat corresponding to the perimetric edge of each shell. In use, various components are securely placed within the plurality of component compartments within the polymeric substrate and thereafter encased within the enclosure between the front shell and back shell. According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the polymeric substrate also serves to form bumpers about the edges of the enclosure when the shells and substrate are assembled together.

Abstract: A radiation cassette comprises a casing which accommodates an accumulative fluorescent material sheet, a lid which is installed to a part of the casing so that the lid is openable and closable, a shield plate which is arranged for the casing and which is swingably provided with the lid at a first end, a support means which swingably supports the shield plate with respect to the casing, and a lock means which fixes the shield plate to the casing and which moves back and forth in accordance with an external force so that the shield plate may be released from fixation. Accordingly, it is possible to attach and detach the shield plate arranged for the casing by means of a simple operation.

Abstract: A bottomless battery container for transporting and storing batteries is constructed of side panels and end panels. Each side panel is provided with an integral cushion assembly defining cutouts for battery terminals and battery filling caps. Each cushion assembly has a plurality of parallel score lines allowing it to be folded into a rectangular form having a top section, and end section and a bottom section with cutouts on the bottom section and an end section being adapted to receive battery filler caps and battery terminal posts. A glue panel extending from the bottom section is fastened to the interior upper portion of the side panel. When the container is assembled the outer walls of the end section of each cushion assembly abut each other with the dimension of the width of the cushion assembly being about one half the width of each end panel.

Abstract: A packaging strip has a series of receiving cavities formed thereon for each receiving an electronic component therein. Each of the receiving cavities is internally provided along peripheral edges with ribs and near a central area with a stepped land portion. The electronic component is received in the receiving cavity with its peripheral edges rested on the ribs, so that most part of the electronic component is suspended in the receiving cavity and a distance is kept between contacts at a bottom surface of the electronic component and a bottom of the receiving cavity. The stepped land portion restricts the electronic component from moving in the receiving cavity. When the packaging strip is wound into a roll and compresses the receiving cavities, the land portions arch to elevate the electronic components, protecting contacts of the electronic components from damage due to collision with the receiving cavity.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a cardboard pallet-like container which also acts as an exhibitor. The container is obtained from a single sheet of die-cut and folded cardboard by means of which the entire structure is obtained. The container is a parallelepiped which is cut, on each lateral face, along a diagonal so as to obtain a base semi-container provided with legs and a top semi-container which can be fitted over the base semi-container.

Abstract: A rack accessory for an equipment rack having mounting locations for a predetermined number of units of electronic equipment within a predetermined vertical distance, including: a front support member and a rear support member, wherein the front support member defines a bracket adapted to be secured on a front mounting portion of the rack; and a predetermined number of substantially equally spaced shelves extending between the front support member and the rear support member. The shelves are each configured to support a side portion of the electronic equipment when installed in the rack. The rack accessory has a height that substantially corresponds to the predetermined vertical distance, and the predetermined number of shelves is less than the predetermined number of units.

Abstract: A container for media disc cases having a plurality of slots so as to present the edges of the cases in a stacked format. A magnifying bar is slidably mounted on the container for positioning in front of the case edges to aid the user in reading the indicia thereon. A light located within the container focuses a beam along the edge surfaces of the disc cases to aid in reading the indicia on the cases through the magnifying bar.

Abstract: A shelf attachment display unit includes a tray, a hanger bracket and a placard each made from a blank of corrugated cardboard. The tray blank is folded to form front, back, bottom and end walls and the back wall has a pair of vertical slots therein. The hanger bracket is folded to form a brace extending laterally behind the back wall and having arms at its ends. The arms define channels opening in the direction of the brace and tabs extending away from the brace having upwardly opening notches for engagement with the slots in the back wall of the tray. The channels are sized to receive an edge of a shelf member and the brace is positioned to contact an underside of the shelf member when the shelf member is in the channels so as to cantilever the shelf display unit to the shelf.

Abstract: This invention concerns a rotary crane, especially an offshore crane of the king post type. The rotary crane has a pylon which can be anchored on a floor plate, platform, or similar equipment, a turntable housed to revolve around the longitudinal axis of the pylon by means of an upper support and a lower support, a crane boom supported by the turntable, and rotating gear for rotating the turntable around the pylon. The upper support has a mount which is positioned on the peak of the pylon and which can rotate, which mount has an axial support surface for axial support on the pylon as well as a radial support surface for radial support on the pylon, and suspension equipment for suspending the turntable.

Abstract: A tamper-evident package includes a plastic closure having a top wall portion, a depending annular skirt portion, and a tamper band at least partially detachably connected to the skirt portion. The package further includes a container having a neck portion configured for tamper-indicating cooperation with the projections on the tamper band. The container includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced ratchet-like locking teeth, each of which presents a locking surface for interfering engagement with a respective one of the projections of the closure tamper band. The arrangement is particularly configured to promote rapid tamper-indication attendant to relatively little rotation of the closure relative to the container.

Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide highly productive and yet low-cost products. To this end, the fitting structure for electronic apparatuses according to the present invention fastens at the same time the fastening section. If integral with the housing 1 and fastening pieces 2c integral with the first cover 2 to the chassis 4 by means of screws 6 and brings the flat plate section 2a of the first cover 2 to the opening edge 1d of the housing 1 by the clamping of screws 6, thereby, the first cover 2 can be brought into tight contact with the housing 1 at the same time as the electronic apparatus is fastened by screws, removing the necessity of twisting operations which had formerly been required, and highly productive and yet low-cost products can be provided.

Abstract: Trash Bag Holder with a four sided, rigid paneled, open bottomed bag holding structure. Two opposing walls of the structure have die cut apertures near the top of the structure and flexible plastic panels that cover the cutouts that can removably retain portions of a plastic trash bag. The plastic panels each have an X shaped slit where a portion of a plastic bag can be pushed through each slit by the user. The plastic panels are attached to the walls by rivets or other standard attachment. The four side panels are attached at each adjoining edge by an integral hinge so that the panels can be folded onto each other to create a relatively flat configuration for storage and packaging.

A closing assembly is adapted for maintaining the slide plate in a closed orientation over the aperture of the cover member.

The box comprises a first and a second pair of support elements, in which the support elements of the first pair are arranged along a first lateral wall (24) and the support elements of the second pair are arranged along respective lateral walls (28) orthogonal with respect to the first wall. The support elements are arranged so that the box can be interpenetrated with a box of the same type when the two boxes have the same relative orientation and can be superimposed to a box of the same type when the two boxes have an opposite relative orientation.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel tank comprising a vessel for containing fuel and a system for evacuating the gases contained in the vessel. The system has a passage putting the inside of the vessel into communication with the outside of the vessel, and the passage is closed by a membrane suitable for allowing air and fuel vapor to pass therethrough while preventing liquid fuel from passing therethrough. The membrane is situated inside the vessel and it extends over the major portion of the top wall of the vessel.

Abstract: A pan for use with a well for receiving the pan is disclosed herein. The pan includes a bottom panel, a plurality of walls, and a ramp. The plurality of walls extend upwardly from the bottom panel and define a cavity. The plurality of walls also have an upper end which defines a top opening. The upper end has an extension away from the cavity which defines a rim. The ramp is proximate the rim and exterior to the cavity, whereby the pan rides up on the ramp when the pan is drawn up against the well.

Abstract: A hard and soft plastic integral nozzle structure includes a built-in supporting frame member which is made of hard plastic, and at least having a left and a right clipping rod such that both the left clipping rod and the right clipping rod of the frame member in the injected mold being propped by a propping member to open outward, and forms an integrally wrapped nozzle. After the propping member in the mold retracts and separates from the mold, the contraction of the elasticity for the two clipping rods of the supporting frame member made of hard plastic material gives an excellent anti-leaking effect for the crevices at the center of the nozzle.

Abstract: In a case connection structure for connecting connection end portions of both case members, a boss portion is formed in one of the connection end portions to protrude to the other one of the connection end portions, and a recess portion into which the boss portion is fitted is formed in the other one of the connection end portions. A slit is provided in the boss portion, and a press-fitting portion is provided in the recess portion to be press-fitted into the slit. While the boss portion is fitted into the recess portion, the press-fitting portion is press-fitted into the slit to expand the boss portion to an outer side, so that an outer surface of the boss portion press-contacts the recess portion.

Abstract: A hangable storing box includes first and second housing halves defining an inner space therebetween, and a limiting plate disposed between the first and second housing halves and separating the inner space into front and rear spaces. A hook member projects from a rear wall of the first housing half for holding a stack of seamed plastic bags. The limiting plate has a bottom end spaced apart from bottom walls of the first and second housing halves to define thereamong a gap so as to permit the plastic bags to extend downwardly from the hook member through the rear space and the gap and then turn around the bottom end of the limiting plate to extend upwardly into the front space.

Abstract: A vertical conveyor including first and second conveyors having first and second ends. The first conveyor is vertically aligned with and above the second conveyor. The vertical conveyor also includes a third conveyor having a free end and a coupled end. The third conveyor is pivotable about its coupled end to permit movement of its free end between a raised position and a lowered position and includes a reversible drive operable in a first direction to move an article toward the coupled end and in a second direction to move an article toward the free end. The free end is operably aligned with the first end of the first conveyor when the free end is in its raised position and operably aligned with the first end of the second conveyor when the free end is in its lowered position. The invention is also directed to a method of moving articles through a vertical conveyor that includes first, second, and third conveyors.

Abstract: The present invention provides an arrangement of fastening elements for holding bundles retained by cable ties, and a method therefor. The arrangement of elements includes a pair of strips removably attached to a sequence of fastening elements, whereby the pair of strips facilitate the transport, readying, and positioning of each fastening element prior to interaction with the cable tie. Also provided is a method for molding the arrangement of cable ties in which the cable ties are advantageously used for retaining bundles of cables, pipes, and similarly elongated items.

Abstract: A lug nut dispenser including a housing having an interior wall defining an elongate chamber for receiving lug nuts therein, an exterior wall, an upstream end for releasably receiving a drive impact tool, and a downstream end defining a port communicating with the chamber for permitting consecutive release and ejection of the lug nuts therethrough. A displacer ring is carried on the exterior walls of the housing and slides relative thereto. A displacer is connected to the ring and extends through a slot defined by and extending through the housing into the chamber. The displacer slides along the slot for moving the nuts downstream. The displacer includes a shoulder for engaging a nut positioned in the chamber for permitting sequential, axially-aligned movement of the nuts through the chamber. There are also at least two spaced-apart, flexible detent arms. Each arm has first and second ends. The second end includes a tip and is moveable between nut-retaining and nut-dispensing positions.

Abstract: A dentifrice closure on a dentifrice tube can emit a signal upon the opening of the closure to dispense some of the dentifrice. The closure is comprised of a base portion to attach the closure to the dentifrice tube and a lid portion that closes the dispensing opening of the dentifrice tube and which contains switch timer and signal generator. The signal generator can be a light, but preferably is a sound generator, and most preferably a music generator. Upon the lid being opened, a switch activates the timer which in turn activates the signal generator. Regardless of the position of the switch after a lid opening (the lid can be quickly closed) the signal will be emitted for a set period of time.

Abstract: A soap dispensing system includes non-pressurized first and second soap containers connected to a soap manifold. The manifold has a first inlet connection to the first soap container and a second inlet connection to the second soap container. There is a soap outlet on the manifold. A soap conduit extends from a first dispensing opening on the manifold to a second dispensing opening on the manifold. A two direction peristaltic pump is associated with the soap conduit to move soap either from the first dispensing opening to the second dispensing opening or in the opposite direction. There are valves within the soap manifold for connecting the first inlet, first dispensing opening, second dispensing opening, second inlet opening, and the outlet to provide soap, upon operation of the pump, from one of said containers, through said soap conduit, to the manifold outlet.

Abstract: A single use glue dispensing package including a plurality of individual packets removably coupled together to form a single sheet. Each of the individual packets have a free outer edge and opposed side edges. Each of the packets have a pouch formed therein. Each pouch holds a small quantity of glue therein, and is lined with a preservative for preventing the glue from hardening while in the pouch. Each pouch has tapered outer ends abutting the free outer edge of the of the packets. The free outer edge is formed with a lateral perforation whereby the removal of the free outer edge will open the tapered outer ends of the pouches to allow the glue to be removed therefrom.

A lens forming composition may include an aromatic containing polyether polyethylenic functional monomer, a photoinitiator, and a coinitiator. Abstract: The invention relates to an adapter in connection with combined coolers and dispensers for liquids, particularly drinking water, which coolers and dispensers are intended for receiving a bottle-shaped container placed bottom-up on the top of the combined cooler and dispenser. The adapter comprises a support for supporting a container for a liquid, a chamber extending downwardly from the support, the chamber having an opening in its wall, a lower part with a bottom, a vertical pipe arranged in the bottom of the lower part of the adapter, which pipe is open or can be opened at its lower end and is closed at its upper end and which at its upper part has a flange which is open towards the inside of the pipe, the flange being intended to be connected to a flexible hose between the flange and the container which is to be placed in the adapter and where the vertical pipe is intended to communicate with the pipe system in the combined cooler and dispenser.

The upper arm has an aperture therethrough. An upper arm portion is hingedly coupled with the lower base portion. The upper arm portion is comprised of an elongated central section, a downwardly turned back portion, and a forward head portion. The forward head portion has a downwardly extending protrusion secured thereto. The protrusion is aligned with the aperture in the upper arm of the lower base portion.

Abstract: A storage carriage for longitudinal components. The storage carriage has a pair of continuous belts. The belts are arranged to form a nested zigzag pattern. As the component is feed through the nested zigzag pattern, substantially the entire length of the component within the storage carriage is subjected to the same tension and compression. The component is fed into one corner of the carriage and is removed from the opposing corner of the carriage. The component travels through the carriage in a “first-in/first-out” system.

Abstract: A wire feeding mechanism suitable for advancing ferrous and nonferrous wire along a pathway without causing damage to the wire, including a plurality of drive rollers stationed in opposing pairs along the pathway, each comprising a cylindrical hub and a flexible cover extending thereabout. The flexible covers conform to the cross-sectional contour of the wire therebetween under the compressive forces generated by the opposing drive rollers as the wire is driven along the pathway.

Abstract: A powered nail gun is disclosed that has two chambers to hold nails of different sizes or types wherein each chamber can be selectively rotated into a ready-for-use position. A pivot assembly can be provided having a pivot member, a rotatable connecting plate depending therefrom, and first and second supply cartridges connected to the connecting plate and facing in opposing directions. Each supply cartridge has one of the chambers and a firing position to receive and position a nail for impact by a drive mechanism. When one of the supply cartridges is rotated to the ready-for-use position, its firing position is in registration with an impact end of the drive mechanism. Each supply cartridge includes a spring-biased follower to urge the nails in the cartridge toward the firing position.

The staple feeding passage is for feeding the connected staple stored in the storage portion. The stopper is formed on both sides of a discharge port provided on a tip of the staple feeding passage.

A spring is biased between the body of the nailer and the frame. An end of a bar is connected to the frame and the other end of the bar is connected to a trigger. A limit member is movably connected to the frame and an engaging member is located on a first end of the limit member. An end member is threadedly mounted to the threaded end and a plurality of notches are defined in an end thereof. The engaging member of the limit member is engaged with on of the notches.

Abstract: End portions of members 10, 20 are abutted against each other. A trapezoidal convex portion 22 of the member 20 is inserted into a trapezoidal concave portion 12 of the member 10. A friction stir welding is performed by inserting a rotary tool 50 from the side of raised portions 13, 23. A small-diameter portion 51b of the rotary tool 50 is tapered and is provided with a screw thread 51b. A large-diameter portion 53 is of a member different from an axis portion of the rotary tool 50 and is connected thereto by a pin 59. The screw thread of the screw thread portion 51b could be formed in the vicinity of a concave surface 53g of an end surface of the large-diameter portion 53, so that stirring near the end surface can be performed sufficiently. Therefore, good friction stir welding can be achieved.
