Upon activation of the device, the tow line is allowed to momentarily “free wheel”, thus releasing the bow string to sweep across the area, thus scaring or physically forcing the birds away. Once the area has been swept free of birds, the tow line once again is reeled in and thus resets the bow string for the next cycle.

    Abstract: A fly line exchange apparatus and method including a temporary reel that houses a relatively short pull line that temporarily attaches to the end of the existing fly line. During use, the end of the pull line is connected via a quick connector to the end of the fly line. When the main fishing reel on the fishing pole is rotated, the fly line and pull line are pulled together through the eyelets on the fishing rod. When the end of the pull line is pulled through the eyelet closest to the reel, the old fly line is detached from the quick connector. The old spool in the reel is then replaced with a new spool having the desired fly line. The end of the new fly line is attached to the quick connector on the end of the pull line and the temporary reel is rotated to pull the pull line and new fishing line through the last eyelet on the fishing rod. The pull line is then detached from the new fishing line so that the new fishing line may be used.

Operatively connected to the transmitter are a pair of probes or electrodes for actuating the transmitter. A sensing means is connected to the probes to detect a current passing between them in response to a fish exerting tension on the fishing line to thereby operate the signal transmitter so as to signal the fisherman, e.g. by broadcasting, a radio signal to alert the fisherman when a fish has struck the bait. This weight is an alloy formed by mixing a material that does not have ferromagnetic properties in room temperature and a material having ferromagnetic properties at room temperature. A hole of the weight is formed to have a diameter slightly larger than that of the wire, allowing the wire passed through the hole to move freely forward and back. The reservoir also accommodates a bottle for dispensing liquid bait into the reservoir. The bottle employs a special cap designed to keep the reservoir filled as liquid bait is removed. A blade is mounted within a cavity in the sash and disposed for pivotal movement between a first position, wherein the blade is retracted within an outwardly facing surface of the sash, and a second position, wherein the blade is extended through the outwardly facing surface of the sash into the trough defined within the inwardly facing surface of the frame. The blade is normally biased to the second position, but it can volitionally be retracted to the first position to enable tilting inward or removal of the sash from the window frame.

The brackets provide support, but are no longer fixed to the rails.

    Abstract: A structural system is comprised of two components. The first component is an I-shaped bearing member having an upper flange and a lower flange connected by a web. The upper and lower flanges have undercuts formed therein. The second component is a connection member having a notch in each corner for engaging the undercuts in the upper and lower flanges. The components of this system may be used to construct a structural component comprising a plurality of I-shaped bearing members positioned parallel to one another. A plurality of connection members interconnect the bearing members; the two upper notches of the connection member engage the undercuts in the upper flanges of two adjacent bearing members while the two lower notches engage the undercuts in the lower flanges of two adjacent bearing members. A method of constructing a structural component is comprised of positioning a plurality of bearing members parallel to one another.
