The masking element application apparatus includes first and second longitudinal members positioned at a predetermined distance from one another adjacent the wall and a dispenser for dispensing the masking element. The dispenser is carried laterally between said first and second longitudinal members and is slidable along said first and second longitudinal members from a first position to a second position. In operation, an end of the masking element may be attached to the wall when said dispenser is in said first longitudinal position and the masking element may be dispensed longitudinally along the wall by slidably moving said dispenser from said first position to said second position, thereby applying the masking element adjacent the wall in the predetermined pattern.

Customary infant access features are added to top and/or bottom portions of the garment so that the outfit can be put on and taken off in one piece. The impression of the outfit as a more adult combination of separates is enhanced by visually minimizing or hiding the customary infant access features, and further by providing non-functional but visible adult access features.

Abstract: The safety garment for industrial and construction workers, and hunters incorporates a safety harness into the body of a jacket, coat, or other apparel. The garment has a safety harness with a central attachment ring receiving a safety line, anchoring a wearer a beam or tree trunk. The safety harness is preferably sewn on the outer surface of a removable inner liner or vest attached to an outer shell such as an outer vest, jacket, shirt, parka, or other garment covering the harness. During a fall, pulling forces on the harness are equalized in both directions, providing maximal distribution of force on the wearer. The waist belt or other portion of the safety harness has attachments for removable leg loops.

The left golf glove and the right golf glove provide control over a golf club and also provide indication of a proper grip.

Abstract: The present invention relates in general to ear muffs and in particular to an earmuff that are to be used in conjunction with headphones for portable radios, cassette players and the like. The outer surface of the earmuff is a solid shape resembling a standard earmuff while the inner side that faces the ear breaks apart into 2 C-shape donut halves to accommodate the placement of the headphone speaker. This design allows the earmuff to be positioned around the headphone speaker by means of the 2 C-shape donut halves and reconnect together around the headphone speaker in order to stabilize against the headphone and allow space for the headphone band and speaker wire between the connected respective halves of the donut. The earmuff makes use of the unique donut design to accommodate various styles of portable headphones while providing maximum insulation to the ear. The earmuffs are detachable and can be exchanged.

Abstract: Pants convertible into a hammock comprise a pair of pant legs separable by unfastening front and back fasteners extending from the waist to crotch of the pant legs, each pant leg openable to a flat formation by unfastening an inseam fastener, the opened pant legs convertible into a hammock configuration by abutting and fastening together bottom edges of the pant legs, wherein the hammock pants may be suspended from an adjacent structure by inserting a pair of rigid rods into sleeves provided at the waist portion of the pant legs in the hammock configuration, and by unfolding a plurality of straps attached to the inside surfaces of the pant legs and extending the straps from the ends of the rigid rods to anchor points on the adjacent structure.

Abstract: A neck protector for a taut ligature such as a bra or bathing suit strap. The neck protector is a perforated, generally elongate closed-cell foam body having unitary construction. The foam body is preferably a flat sheet having a length, a flat upper surface, a lower skin-contacting surface and at least four holes in the flat upper surface thereof. The four or more holes are symmetrically disposed laterally around the center of the flat upper surface along the length of the foam body. In use, the two opposing ends of a ligature are threaded downwardly through the outermost holes in the upper surface on each end of the foam body and are then threaded upwardly through adjacent respective holes in the lower surface thereof. The free ends of the ligature are then tied together with the lower skin-contacting surface of the neck protector positioned on the nape of the neck.

The waist portion has a plurality of horizontally extending slots, one said slot for each said strap, which slots in one contemplated embodiment are defined by strips of fabric, webbing, or other material sewn at opposite ends to the waist portion and which slots in another contemplated embodiment penetrate the waist portion and may have bound edges. Each strap when attached to the waist portion extends through an associated one of the slots, whereupon such strap is folded upwardly and is fastened releasably to itself by a fastener, such as a snap fastener, which is separated from a wearer by a portion of said strap, or such as a hook-and-loop fastener.

The dispenser further comprises a container with a colored staining liquid having a discharge opening facing the bottom of the cup with a predetermined clearance therebetween. The dispenser is so configured that the discharge opening is lower than the cup wall, and the bottom opening is lower than the cup wall and is located remote from the wall of the toilet bowl, and at least when the dispenser is suspended from the bowl rim, the bottom opening is higher than a low portion of the basin bottom.

Abstract: A protective screen which fits over the opening of a urinal to prevent splashback that commonly occurs when a stream of urine contacts the inside wall of the urinal. The screen functions to allow a stream of urine to pass therethrough but prevents the occurrence of splashback when the urine stream contacts the walls of the urinal or the water at the bottom of the urinal. The screen also provides a filter to prevent foreign articles (paper, gum, cigarette butts, etc.) from being flushed down the urinal. The screen is positioned in the urinal such that flush water flows over the entire surface of the screen thereby cleansing the surface and enhancing sanitary conditions.

An inner part of the joint is connected to the outer part for sealing the base and panels together in a watertight manner.

A base member holds a bed and in a bed cavity. The base member comprises a bottom wall, and a pair of base side walls and base end walls being attached to and extending away from the bottom wall to define the bed cavity. The base member is selectively positionable in the cap cavity. A moving means selectively moves the base member between a retracted position and an extended position. A switch allows a user to actuate the moving means, thereby controlling the positioning of the bed.

In another version, the shaft has adjustable rigidity and is defined from a series of articulated links. A method of positioning a human limb for a medical procedure is also disclosed.

Abstract: A hingeable mattress and cover combination. The hingeable mattress having a base section with a footer, a pivotable section with a header, and straps connected at one end to the pivotable section such that an operator can pull on the straps and thereby rotate the pivotable section toward the operator. The cover has a pocket to receive the header of the pivotable section. When the operator has a grasp of the header, the cover is placed over the header, the pivotable section is lowered to a reclined position and the cover is extended over the side walls and footer of the hingeable mattress. The cover can be removed by taking the cover off the footer, rotating the pivotable section toward the operator, removing the cover from the header and reclining the pivotable section.

Prolonged use of the device of the present invention has been shown to improve the tone of the muscle groups of a wearer's body which have to do with the wearer's posture. Prolonged use of the instant invention has also been shown to improve the blood circulation in a wearer's legs and to strengthen significantly the muscles supporting a wearer's knees. The design of the device is such that prolonged wear of the invention is neither strenuous nor taxing.

The handle extends away from the perimeter edge of the receptacle opening in a direction perpendicular to the lip and is unsupported at its far end. The elongated receptacle extends beneath the handle at least as far as the end of the handle, and can extend further. The elongated receptacle has a flat end wall that permits the dustpan to be stored upright without emptying or spilling its contents. In its upright storage position the dustpan lip is upward and the handle is downward. The end of the handle can stabilize the dustpan in its upright storage position. Several of the dustpans can be nested.

Abstract: A system for adapting the intake configuration of a central vacuum cleaning system is disclosed. The canister of the central vacuum cleaning system is provided with at least two vacuum intake openings from which an installer can choose to insert an intake coupler and at least one intake closure or cap of the present invention. Insertion and attachment of the intake coupler and the cap(s) is achieved by use of a novel twist-to-lock interface provided between the vacuum intake openings and the coupler and cap(s). Attachment of the coupler and the cap(s) is accomplished easily and quickly by hand and without the need for glue, clamps, tools, or any other equipment.

The rollers of the locating member and the rollers of the roller bearing move to reduce friction at such time when the wheel is turned in a direction.

Abstract: Claimed and disclosed is a fastening device that can fasten itself to a sheet material and at the same time couples itself to an object, comprising a coupling means for slidably coupling the device to a substantially fixed object and an attachment means for attaching the sheet material to the device. The coupling means defines a receiving surface at a first portion and has an extended second portion thereof which is rotatably connected to an attachment means for attaching an object to the device. The attachment means comprising two elongated outer members connected by a bridge, a first outer member comprising an extending member on its interior surface and extends toward a corresponding recess disposed on an interior surface of a second elongated outer member. The bridge of the attachment means defines a recess with a sleeve to receive the extended second portion of the coupling means to form the fastening device as claimed and disclosed in the present invention.

The hinge assembly further includes a hinge tongue fixedly coupled to the hinge shaft, the hinge tongue also being coupled to a support leg; means for limiting an inclination angle of the flat display monitor by limiting an angular position of the hinge shaft; and means for adjusting a torque required to change the inclination angle of the flat display monitor. The hinge assembly of the present invention allows a user to adjust the inclination angle of a flat display monitor easily. In addition, the whole processes of making and assembling the hinge assembly are greatly simplified.

A user grips the middle portion of the elongated member with his or her hand and places his or her forearm on the forearm support member.
