Abstract: Blanking device in a cutting machine for plate elements in a sheet, such as a paper, cardboard or plastic sheet, which had been previously cut into several blanks that are maintained together in the sheet by a number of nicks: a lower tool, an upper tool movable toward the lower tool, a plurality of telescopic pressing devices below the upper tool and outward of the blanks, and plurality of punches aimed to remove blanks from the sheet during vertical motion of punches. The punches each have a suction cup linked to a vacuum or pressure source able to generate a change in the air pressure inside of the suction cup by a distribution network. The suction cups hold the blanks starting before separation of the blanks from the punches. A method to bring the device into operation in the above sequence of operations.

Abstract: In a method and a system for determining the feeding sped when bandsaw cutting a workpiece, the tough pitch TP of the bandsaw blade is determined in a first unit (6) depending on the shape and dimensions of the workpiece. In a second unit (12) feeding depth per tooth is determined depending on properties of the workpiece material and the width of the bandsaw blade. The bandsaw blade velocity BS is determined in a third unit (22) from the width W of the workpiece and the hardness of the workpiece material, whereafter the cutting time T is determined in a first calculating unit (30) from the height H of the workpiece, the feeding depth per tooth, the tooth pitch TP and the blade velocity BS. In a second calculating unit (32) the feeding speed MH for the bandsaw blade is then determined by the equation MH=H/T. A computer program, when executed on a computer, performs this determination of the feeding speed when cutting a workpiece with a bandsaw from supplied input data.

Abstract: A guitar or applicable musical instrument which has been improved to enhance string energy. The improvement includes the integration of side materials and structural spanners to maintain the integrity of the instrument under load of string tension. The invention improves ampliphonic efficiency by protecting the resonating surface of the instrument's soundboard from compression and distortion caused by the instrument's resistance to load under tension of strings. My invention also stabilizes the harmonic mode of the neck as it rocks in and out of the sound hole area, and decreases loss of string energy. By stabilizing the neck and body structure, the invention also creates an improved integration of the instrument to preserve a long-term consistency in the neck alignment to the body, eliminating the need to realign the neck to maintain playable string height for the musician as the body shifts and the sound hole compresses over time.

Abstract: A stencil printer of the present invention includes a print drum around which perforated part of a stencil or master is to be wrapped. A master making section make a master and includes a cutter for cutting the stencil paid out from a roll. A master discharging section removes the master wrapped around the print drum and then discharges it. A deciding device determines, on the turn-on of a power supply, whether or not the power supply has been turned off during an interval between the time when the stencil paid out from the roll starts being perforated and the time when the cutter cuts the stencil. When the deciding device determines that the power supply has been turned off during the above interval, the master discharging section discharges the master present on the print drum.

Abstract: An apparatus for preventing media deposition in predetermined locations comprising at least one blocking cap connected to a pressurized squeegee head is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for partially printing a circuit board is disclosed. The method comprises inserting one or more blocking caps inside a pressurized squeegee head and printing with the pressurized squeegee head. In this way, defined areas on the surface of a stencil or screen, over which the blocking caps travel, are skipped. In another embodiment, a new method for manufacturing printed circuit boards is described, comprising placing a component on a circuit board, performing burn-in or testing of the component, partially printing attachment media on the circuit board with a pressurized squeegee head containing one or more blocking caps, and placing additional components on the circuit board. In one embodiment, the circuit board is sold or returned to the circuit board designer before performing the partial printing step.

Abstract: A printing unit is comprised of a pair of cylinders, such as a forme cylinder and a transfer cylinder. These two cylinders, together with a third cylinder, form a printing site. The third cylinder is in contact with the transfer cylinder. The forme cylinder and the transfer cylinder are coupled together and form a drive system which is driven by a common drive motor during the printing process. Power is transmitted from the transfer cylinder to the forme cylinder. The drive system for the cylinder pair and a drive for the third cylinder are coupled to each other by a mechanical coupling for selective coupling and decoupling.

Abstract: A method for driving a printing press includes driving, in a printing operation, via a gear train by at least a first motor, at least one drum for advancing printing material and a printing-form cylinder, processing angle-of-rotation signals of the drum in a control device for controlling the driving of the drum and the form cylinder, and driving, in a printing-form production operation in the printing press, a printing-form cylinder by a separate motor. The method further includes, in an operation for producing the printing form, synchronously actuating the first motor and the separate motor by providing a gear allocated to the driving of the printing-form cylinder, and an adjacent gear allocated to the driving of the drum of the gear train, the gears being disposed relative to one another at the most out of contact with one another, and at the least barely in engagement with one another so as to exert a slight pressure on one another, and a device for performing the method.
