Abstract: A protection suit, particularly a spacesuit, has an opening in a back portion of the spacesuit for entering and exiting the suit. The spacesuit is suspended on one side of a bulkhead (5′) so that a hole in the bulkhead is aligned with the opening in the back portion of the suit. The opening is closeable by a backpack (3) which fits through the hole in the bulkhead into a decontamination chamber (7) on the opposite side of the bulkhead. Two sealing and interlocking systems are used. Each system has two subsystems to provide a total of four sealing and interlocking subsystems. A first subsystem (4) connects the spacesuit to the bulkhead that separates a living and working space from an airlock. A second subsystem (6) connects a backpack to the spacesuit (1). A third subsystem (9) connects the spacesuit, preferably through the backpack (3), to a decontamination chamber (7). A fourth subsystem (12) connects the decontamination chamber to the bulkhead (5′).

The leveling system also includes a level measurement mechanism attached to a surface of the containment unit for indicating a containment unit horizontal planar position or indicating when the containment unit is “level.” A containment unit is also disclosed.

Abstract: An industrial caster wheel assembly including a base member, a wheel, side plates, a housing, a pivot axle, a suspension assembly and an adjustment assembly. The suspension assembly includes an adjustable axle, a support member, and a plate. The support member allows one of the wheel and the base member to rotate about the pivot axle as the adjustable axle compresses the support member by contacting the plate. The adjustment assembly adjusts the height of the industrial caster wheel by adjusting the pressure applied by the adjustable axle to the support member. The industrial caster wheel assembly may alternatively include at least one adjustment assembly that can be placed in contact with at least one of the second axle to press the second axle at least indirectly against the elastomeric support member or the first axle to press the first axle toward the center of the housing.

Abstract: A string type air damper includes a cylinder formed in a tubular shape, defining a guide hole at one end portion thereof, a piston, which moves in the cylinder, a helical spring for biasing the piston toward the other end portion of the cylinder, and a string member guided from inside of the cylinder to outside thereof through the guide hole. The piston and the string member are integrally formed. Since the string member is formed integrally with the piston, unlike a method according to a related art, it becomes unnecessary to form a loop at the base end portion of the string member with a complicated work and form a hook portion at the piston and hook the base end portion of the string member at the hook portion of the piston. Therefore, the string type air damper can be very easily assembled.

Abstract: Method for controlling a motorized door of a vehicle to allow for non-motorized operation in including monitoring the torque on the motor or force or torque exerted on the door and disengaging the motor from the door when the torque or force is above a threshold. Optionally, the velocity of the door can be monitored and the motor re-engaged with the door when the velocity of the door is zero. An apparatus for controlling a motorized door of a vehicle to allow for non-motorized operation includes a motor releasably coupled to the door for opening and closing the door, a torque sensor for measuring the torque on the motor, torque or force on the door, and a processor coupled to the torque sensor and the motor for analyzing the measured torque or force on the motor or door relative to a threshold and disengaging the motor from the door when the torque or force is above the threshold.

Abstract: A hinge for pivotably mounting a panel to a vehicle body includes a panel attachment plate securable to the panel, a body attachment plate securable to the vehicle body, and an intermediate member pivotably attached between the body and panel attachment plates. The intermediate member has opposite sidewalls and a center flange extending between the sidewalls. The sidewalls engage the body attachment plate with the center flange spaced from the body attachment plate when the intermediate member is pivoted such that the sidewalls are positioned generally along the body attachment plate. The intermediate member may include a stop member for limiting pivotal movement of the panel attachment plate. The stop member may limit such pivotal movement at different positions by being cut to different sizes during manufacture of the hinge. The body attachment plate may provide a hinge portion that provides enhanced structural rigidity to the hinge.

The window hinge includes an elongated track having a track base wall attachable to the window frame. The track also includes a track flange extending from at least a portion of a base wall first longitudinal edge The track flange defines a flange retaining section. The window hinge also includes an elongated sash arm attachable to the window sash and a carriage component pivotally attached to the sash arm. The carriage component is mounted on the base wall in a carriage operational configuration for slidable movement along the track longitudinal axis between an open window position and a closed window position while being guided by the track flange and retained by the flange retaining section. The stand bracket is installed on the supporting stand for locking against the middle section of a hinge shaft by locating ears. Two panel brackets are mounted on two ends at the back of the display panel locking against the hinge shaft by locating ears. The hinge shaft is fitted with hinge components from both ends, including torsion springs, guide plates, torsion springs and terminal nuts. Through the mechanical action of the torsion springs and guide plates, an LCD monitor can be adjusted to a suitable viewing angle, and the supporting stand can be fully folded against the back of the panel for storage with limited space and for economical transportation.
