    Abstract: In a fuel gas burner, a reduction of NOx emissions is brought about by the combined use of both a catalyst and a radiation baffle. The catalyst and baffle are located in serial flow relationship such that each contributes to the NOx reduction function without the creation of undesirable conditions. The catalyst is located upstream of the flame and the amount of primary air supplied to the burner is controlled so as to bring about a reduction of NOx emissions while at the same time not allowing the temperature of the catalyst to exceed a threshold limit, thereby ensuring an acceptably long life and durability of the catalyst. The radiation baffle is located in the flame to radiate heat away therefrom and lower the temperature thereof to reduce NOx emissions, with the mass of the baffle being limited such that no significant levels of CO are generated.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a burner for use in a combustion-type waste gas treatment system for combusting waste gases emitted from semiconductor manufacturing system, particularly, a deposition gas containing SiH4 and a halogen-base gas, simultaneously at a high efficiency of destruction, making it difficult for a powder of SiO2 to be attached and deposited, performing a low-NOx combustion, and maintaining a desired level of safety. The combustion-type waste gas treatment system has a flame stabilizing zone (15), which is open toward a combustion chamber (11), surrounded by a peripheral wall (12), and closed by a plate (14) remotely from the combustion chamber. A waste gas, an auxiliary combustible agent, and air are introduced into and mixed with each other in the flame stabilizing zone (15), and the mixed gases are ejected toward the combustion chamber (11) perpendicularly to the plate (14).

When the arch wire is removed from the patient's mouth for periodic adjustments, the etch marks provide accurate, stable, and permanent landmarks for placement of adjustment bends for three-dimensional movements of individual teeth. The process then proceeds by retrieving a digital model of an arch wire. For the given tooth, the processing continues by digitally modeling a force system on the tooth based on the digital model of the initial arch wire receptacle, the digital arch wire receptacle placement, and the digital model of the arch wire.

A tooth insert according to one disclosed embodiment comprises an elongated band having first and second spaced apart central portions. The central portions are positioned so that when the band is wrapped around a first tooth, the first central portion is positioned between the prepared surface of the first tooth and a second adjacent tooth and the second central portion is positioned between the intact surface of the first tooth and a third tooth at the opposite side of the first tooth from the second tooth. An aperture is formed in the second central portion to permit at least partial interproximal contact between the first and third tooth through the aperture to minimize separation between the first and third teeth caused by the thickness of the band.

In one embodiment, a tooth gripping structure is mounted on each of the pad support members for gripping a lateral surface of an anchor tooth located next to the focus tooth of the patient. The tooth gripping structures extend toward each other. In another embodiment, a tooth engaging structure is mounted on each of the pad support members for engaging a jaw of the patient at a position of meeting of the focus tooth and an adjacent tooth.

Feedback is then outputted based on the stimuli and responses. Such feedback relates to appropriate assumptions and information on how to validate the appropriate assumptions. As an option, the feedback may be further based on a number of assumptions entered.
