  • Patent number: 6776092
Abstract: A rotary lead-through assembly supplies an operating fluid to a rotor of a machine for processing printing material. An operating cylinder includes an expansion chamber and a piston having a piston outlet opening. The piston is mounted so as to be displaceable towards the rotor for coupling a rotor inlet opening and the piston outlet opening with one another. A pressure generator is connected both to the expansion chamber and to the rotor, when the openings are coupled with one another. A threshold value valve is disposed between the expansion chamber and the piston outlet opening. The valve is automatically openable when a given threshold value of an excess pressure of the operating fluid is exceeded. A machine for processing printing material is also provided.

  • Patent number: 6776097
Abstract: In the plate supplying apparatus of the present invention, various vibrations are provided to a plate secured via suction during a separating operation by causing pad rods 403 to repeat a slight ascent and a pause, and thereafter causing the pad rods 403 to make an abrupt descent, thereby reliably peeling off a slip sheet adhering to the back face of the plate. Further, vibration in the rod-up/down direction is provided to the plate during the separating operation, and the plate is not pushed hard. Thus, it is possible to prevent the plate from being damaged. A raising and lowering motor 52 is driven to lower the cassette 9. A separating operation for peeling off a slip sheet S adhering to the back face of the plate P is performed, and thereafter the plate P secured via suction is turned over and transferred.

  • Patent number: 6776128
Abstract: In an internal combustion engine, a combustion chamber is provided in a cylinder head on one side of a partition wall, and a heat-insulating layer is provided in the cylinder head on the other side of the partition wall. Cooling passages are provided in a plurality of regions provided with different heat loads in the partition wall, respectively. The flow rate of a cooling medium is set, so that the flow rate in the cooling passage existing in the region of the larger heat load is larger than that in the cooling passage existing in the region of the smaller heat load. Thus, the temperature of an exhaust gas can be maintained at a high level by maintaining the combustion chamber at a high temperature.

  • Patent number: 6776129
Abstract: A hydraulic actuator for gas exchange valves of internal combustion engines is disclosed, in which the lifting of the gas exchange valve from the valve seat is effected with great force. The opening motion of the gas exchange valve then ensues at reduced force. Upon closure of the gas exchange valve, the gas exchange valve is braked before striking the valve seat, so that operation of the gas exchange valve with little wear and little noise can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 6776131
Abstract: In an internal combustion engine with two camshafts arranged next to one another and each mounted in a radial bearing in the cylinder head and hydraulic device for rotary angle adjustment of each camshaft with respect to a crankshaft. The supply and discharge of hydraulic pressure medium to and from the devices are controlled separately in each case by an electromagnetic hydraulic valve comprised of an electromagnet and of a valve housing capable of being plugged into a valve receptacle. Each valve housing on its circumference has a plurality of annular grooves with a plurality of radial orifices and on its free end face has a further orifice, via which the hydraulic valves are fluidically connected to the radial bearings of the camshafts and to a pressure connection and to a tank connection. Valve receptacles are passage bores which are fluidically connected via horizontal transverse ducts to the radial bearings of the camshafts and to the pressure connection.

  • Patent number: 6776132
Abstract: An intake arrangement for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine of a vehicle which has a row of cylinders. The arrangement includes an intake manifold, which includes a collector extending along a direction of the row of the cylinders and a branch portion communicated with the collector, a fuel pipe extending along the collector, and a protector extending along the fuel pipe between the branch portion and the fuel pipe. The fuel pipe is disposed at a downstream end portion of the branch portion which allows air to be introduced into the cylinders. The protector is secured to the downstream end portion of the branch portion and deformable to cover the fuel pipe upon an impact load being applied to the branch portion.

  • Patent number: 6776133
Abstract: A starter which is capable of having an operator easily perform the starting operation of a backpack-type power working machine while shouldering it, is lighter in weight and cheaper in manufacturing cost, is relatively free from trouble, and can not easily be damaged even if a portion of the starter is caught by the branch of a tree. In this starter, a recoil handle attached to one end portion of the recoil rope is placed remote from the main body of the starter by a predetermined distance and adapted to be supported by a handle-supporting member provided at a specific portion of the working machine; and an extended portion of the recoil rope which is located between the main body and the handle-supporting member is loosely sheathed by a flexible guide pipe, one end of which being fixed, and the other end being made free.

  • Patent number: 6776134
Abstract: A method is described for monitoring the temporary cut-off function of the gas exchange valves of individual cylinders or cylinder groups in internal combustion engines, in which the gas exchange valves of the cylinders to be temporarily cut off are deactivated in the closed state for the duration of the cutoff. Two signals, which supply a measure for the air mass flowing into the internal combustion engine, are compared for monitoring purposes. A disproportion between both signals is interpreted as a fault in the described chain of action.

Abstract: The present invention provides a rotary engine having: a stationary cylinder with an intake aperture, an exhaust aperture, and an ignition aperture on the surface; a driving disk disposed inside the stationary cylinder connected to an external driving source through a shaft, the driving disk being secured to a surface of at least one rotational cylinder that are together driven by the driving source; and a swing piston installed inside the rotational cylinder driven by a driving member to move within the rotational cylinder to alter the intake and exhaust volume of the rotational cylinder. The intake and exhaust volume changes corresponding to the position of the rotational cylinder which follows the intake, ignition, and exhaust sequential process to complete the intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust cycle of an engine to create a simple yet high output, low-friction engine with superior cooling.
