Patent number: 6783282Abstract: The present invention aims at providing an optical wavelength filter of band rejection type capable of reliably and stably blocking a light of a desired wavelength from passing through. To this end, the optical wavelength filter of the present invention comprises a plurality of optical filter sections each blocking the light corresponding to the selected wavelength from passing through, the respective optical filter sections being cascade connected to be in a multi-staged structure, wherein the selected wavelengths in the optical filter sections are deviated from one another, to form a blocking band having a wavelength band corresponding to a deviation amount.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2002Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Tadao Nakazawa, Hideyuki Miyata, Masaharu Doi

Patent number: 6783283Abstract: A connector of the invention is a connector capable of suppressing electrical crosstalk between optical devices, preferably performing the optical coupling of the optical devices and the electrical coupling by electric terminals. A first connector housing formed of a conductive resin is disposed with a first optical device accommodating part for accommodating a light receiving device. A second connector housing formed of a non-conductive resin is disposed with a second optical device accommodating part for accommodating a light emitting device and electric terminals. The coupling end faces of optical fibers are fixed to a plug connector and the plug connector is inserted into a plug connector fitting part. This insertion allows optical coupling of the optical fibers to the light emitting device and the light receiving device, and it allows electrical coupling of the above electric terminals to wires fixed to the plug connector.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2002Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: The Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd.Inventor: Naoki Nishita

Patent number: 6783284Abstract: An optical for wavelength reference measurement has in essence an optical conductor with integrated fiber Bragg grating that has a transmission maximum at a desired wavelength. Arranged downstream of the fiber Bragg grating is a photoreceiver receiving the measuring radiation beam passing through the fiber Bragg grating. If desired, it is possible to use a beam splitter to produce a reference radiation beam that is detected in a further photoreceiver.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2002Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Infineon Technologies AGInventors: Hans-Ludwig Althaus, Joachim Reill, Karl-Heinz Schlereth

Patent number: 6783285Abstract: An image viewing device is described which is capable of producing images comprising at least a 180° field of view, also referred to as fisheye images. The device employs an extremely small aperture in conjunction with an optical block comprised of a refractive material. The light rays from an image pass through the aperture whereupon they are compressed in angle by the optical block to produce the fisheye image. An optional image intensifier may be employed to enhance the image produced by the optical block. Additionally, optional filters, viewers, and recording devices may be employed to enhance the image produced as well as to provide a permanent record of any images produced. The image viewing device is capable of producing high resolution color, black and white, and monochromatic fisheye images under various weather and lighting conditions.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1998Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Inventor: Igor Alexeff

Patent number: 6783287Abstract: When the main power of a camera is turned on, a set member (14) is rotated from an initial position to a set position by an operation member (15) on the camera side and once stops at a midway position. At this time, a second blade group (19) retreats from an aperture (1a) and a first blade group (16) enters the aperture 1a to a position not covering an image pickup device (4), so that the aperture (1a) is opened and it is made possible to display a subject in an electronic viewfinder. When a release button is pressed, the set member (14) is rotated from the midway position to the set position and thus the aperture (1a) is covered with the first blade group (16). After this, when drive members (10, 12) are attracted to iron cores (8, 9) and the set member (14) is restored to the initial position, the drive members perform light exposure operation in order.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2002Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Nidec Copal CorporationInventors: Kouichi Kudo, Tohru Eguro
