Abstract: A new and distinct variety of peach tree (Prunus persica), and which is denominated varietally as ‘Burpeachtwenty’, and which produces an attractively colored yellow-fleshed, freestone peach which is mature for harvesting approximately August 9 to August 16 under ecological conditions prevailing in the San Joaquin Valley of central California.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display is capable of displaying intermediate, partial or half tones of images, while at the same time preventing the occurrence of flicker and the decay of the liquid crystal panel. The display operation for data to be displayed in an intermediate tone has one or more lines of a repeating frame of display data that are prohibited from being displayed during in each frame. Such inhibited display lines are designated differently on a sequential basis over consecutive frames, and the sequence of designation is varied in successive frames in accord with changing patterns.

Abstract: A disk memory drive includes a brushless drive outer rotor motor having an internal space and a stator with windings. The outer rotor coaxially encircles the stator and a substantially cylindrical air gap is defined between the stator and the rotor. The rotor includes permanent magnets and a hub fixedly connected with the magnet. A disk mounting section is provided on the hub for accommodating at least one storage disk positioned in a clear space, the mounting section being adapted to extend through a central aperture of the storage disk. The windings and the magnets interacting with the windings are disposed for at least half of the axial longitudinal dimension thereof within a space surrounded by the disk mounting section of the hub. Bearings rotatably mount the rotor and the hub. The first and second races of the motor's first and second bearings are affixed to a cylindrical surface of a bearing tube and an outer surface of the motor shaft, respectively.

Abstract: A method of semi-continuous currency processing using separator cards to separate currency stacks in a batch of currency fed into a currency processing machine. This currency processing method uses separator cards that facilitate the continuous processing of individual currency stacks without the necessity of stopping the process between each currency stack. The separator cards used contain features that allow for a positive delineation between individual currency stacks and the association of account data with each individual currency stack and its accompanying separator card as it is processed by the currency processing machine.

Abstract: A method for creating a hole for a permanent fastener that replaces a temporary fastener that fastens two adjacent workpieces. The temporary fastener includes a shank that extends through a hole of the workpieces. Extending from one end of the shank is a conical shaped head. The temporary fastener has an inner channel that extends through the shank from the head to the opposite end. The fastener also contains a pull stem which has a head located adjacent to the blind end of the shank. The stem head is pulled through the shank to expand and is expanded to tightly fasten the shank to the workpieces. The fastener is removed by drilling through the head and the shank. The diameter of the conical shank head is smaller than the diameter of the drill so that part of the head does not become attached to the drill bit and scratch the workpiece. The conical shape of the head also reduces the volume of fastener material to further reduce the size and amount of chips produced during the drilling process.

The armor cover pars (16a, b; 17; 18) of the front section (3) furthermore comprises at least one upper plate-formed armor covert part (16a, b) for substantially covering the chest region of a person wearing the waistcoat and at least one lower plate-formed armor cover part (17; 18) for substantially covering the abdominal region of the person, and said armor cover parts are arranged in partly overlapping relationship to each other. The waistcoat according to the invention thereby offers the wearer much more freedom of movement and much more comfort than was available when using a protective waistcoat of conventional type.

Abstract: An absorbent swimwear garment having an antimicrobial agent based on hydantoin chemistry for the purpose of eliminating or reducing the level of bacteria in swim water. During initial product use, the absorbent swimwear garment is able to contain urine and bowel movements, similar to ordinary diapers and training pants. When the swimwear garment is submersed in swim water, particularly chlorinated or brominated water, the antimicrobial agent is stabilized and is thereby able to eliminate E. coli and other fecal bacteria from the swim water.

Abstract: A helmet with ventilation having at its front bubble provided with multiple slot air inlets; a circular air passage connected through those slot air inlets being provided to the peripheral of an inner lining adapted to the bubble; multiple expel holes connected through the interior of the helmet being provided to the air passage; an air outlet being provided on the rear of the bubble of the helmet; an air inlet lid being covered up those slot air inlets; and an air inlet gate allowing free elevation being provided at where between the air inlet lid and those slot air inlets.

Abstract: A malodor control system for a toilet comprises a modified toilet seat which is a hollow construction. The seat may be mounted on supports for pivotal movement between an up position and down position in which its opening is registered with the opening of an toilet bowl for receiving products of human waste. As in conventional toilets, portions of a person sitting on the seat define a chamber, in combination with the seat and the bowl. A pair of water spray nozzles are disposed within the hollow seat and directed rearwardly toward the pivotal mounting for the seat. A water supply system includes a flexible tube connection between a fixed source of pressurized water and a bracket for pivotally mounting the seat. Flow of water to the spray nozzles is controlled by a valve on the rear of the seat. The water spray induces flow of fouled air from the user defined chamber into the hollow seat where offensive odors are removed by the water spray.

Abstract: Odor Absorber Device for Urinal with an odor absorbing cake retaining device, the device including a flexible base plate and an integral raised, circular cake retaining wall, a standard odor absorbing cake and a thermochromic graphic display panel mounting on top of the odor absorbing cake. The base plate and the lower portion of the retaining wall have a plurality of apertures to allow the cake to be effective. The circular retaining wall has a non perforated upper portion. The retaining wall has an inwardly facing ledge integrally attached to the top surface of the retaining wall. The base plate has a frame member capable of removably retaining an advertising display panel.

Abstract: A dual flush toilet and dual flush apparatus for a toilet having a discharge port for flushing water into a toilet bowl includes a buoyant flush valve for releasably sealing a discharge port and having a cavity for trapping air to cause a flush valve to remain open after unsealing of the flush valve from the discharge port. The flush valve has a weight for causing seating of the flush valve on the discharge port after flush the water through the discharge port. A control mechanism monitor the water tank is provided for controlling buoyancy of the flush valve by releasing entrapped air to effect either a full flush or partial flush of water from the water tank through the toilet bowl.

Abstract: A tankless western-style flush toilet having a western-style toilet body and a toilet washing device configured to wash the western-style toilet body with water, the toilet washing device including an open/close valve configured to be directly connected to a city water service pipe to supply water from outside and configured to spout water by being opened and closed electrically. The toilet washing device includes a control portion configured to ensure at least two periods of releasing times of the open/close valve, and a mechanism for switching the control portion in accordance with a pressure of city water in the city water service pipe.

Abstract: A combination showerhead and electronic media device is provided. The electronic media device is integrated within the housing of the showerhead, thus saving space within the shower. The electronic media device may also be easily removed from the showerhead. In one embodiment, the electronic media device stores digital audio data, such as MP3 formatted audio data, and includes an interface for connecting the electronic media device to an external source, allowing audio data to be loaded into the electronic media device from the external source.

Abstract: A water diversion apparatus for a standard toilet tank having a fitting connected to a discharge tube and a water supply, such that the discharge tube discharges into an aesthetic container. The aesthetic container may be an aquarium or a cascade and pool. When the toilet is flushed, water is partially diverted from the toilet to the aesthetic container.

Abstract: A toilet unit for a vehicle, in particular a rail vehicle, the toilet unit comprising a cubicle equipped at least with a toilet pan or with a handbasin, said toilet unit defining a limiting volume that is in the shape of a rectangular block, and that is suitable for fitting into a space provided in the rail vehicle for this purpose, said toilet unit incorporating, inside said limiting volume, at least a clean water tank and a waste water retention tank, wherein said clean water tank and said waste water retention tank are disposed vertically in respective corners of the rectangular limiting volume, each tank having an outside wall that is wedge shaped to match the shape of the corner of the rectangular limiting volume, and an inside wall on its side that faces into the cubicle that substantially matches the shape of said cubicle.

Abstract: An inner and an outer body are clamped toward opposite faces of a tub wall over a tub overflow opening. Excess water flows from the tub through an overflow outlet water passage extending through the inner and outer bodies. A water inlet passage has an inlet in the outer body and a non-circular outlet in the inner body. Flow from the tub into the water supply is prevented by a check valve in the water inlet passage. An inlet water conditioning assembly is supported at the outlet of the water inlet passage to provide a smooth, controlled, laminar cascading flow into the tub. The inlet water conditioning assembly includes a flow straightener with parallel blades parallel to the flow direction dividing the total flow into segments that are reunited in a header region at the outlet of the flow straightener. A screen assembly downstream from the header region includes a number of wire mesh screen laminas each having a wire direction angularly offset from the wire direction of adjacent screens.

Abstract: A device for blocking or impeding the flow of water through the overflow drain of a bathtub of the type including a wall, an overflow drain opening in the wall, and a generally circular cover plate over the overflow drain opening, the cover plate having an annular skirt with at least one overflow opening in the annular skirt at the bottom of the cover plate. The device takes the form of a stopper including an arcuate surface configured so as to cover the overflow opening. The stopper is made of a material and is configured so as to be held in place, when water level in the bathtub is above the overflow opening, by water pressure or buoyancy only. As a result, the stopper, once held in place, falls away from the overflow opening when water level in the bathtub subsequently drops below the cover plate.

Abstract: A portable support apparatus designed to support and transfer people with disabilities in a variety of environments. In a preferred embodiment, an apparatus in accordance with the present invention is realized as having two legs on a horizontal plane, containing four pivoting casters, pivoting along a vertical axis from a main cross member on a horizontal plane, a vertical support and handle pivoting about a horizontal axis, a locking pin to secure the vertical support when in the vertical position, attachment pins for supporting a portable patient lift or other device, and a motion-limiting device and interlock to constrain the movement of the lifting and transferring apparatus.

Abstract: A mat conveyor includes a tubular fabric member formed of a soft flexible material and having an interior passage formed therein. A plurality of handle bands are secured to the exterior surface of the tubular member. Each of the handle bands utilizes a support band secured to the exterior surface of the tubular member together with an overlying outer band secured to the support band at a plurality of spaced attachments. The portions of the outer band extending between attachments form a plurality of handle members generally spaced about the tubular member. A pair of carrying poles are receivable within the tubular member interior passage to convert the tubular member to a stretcher-like carrier.

Abstract: A set of bed sheets includes a lower sheet sized and configured to cover the bottom portion of a mattress and an upper sheet sized and configured to cover the top portion of the mattress. First and second separable fasteners about the respective continuous edges of the lower and upper sheets are removably attachable to secure the upper sheet to the lower sheet in a manner which encloses the mattress. The upper sheet includes a top surface which is formed of a material to define a third separable fastener. A collection of accessories include a crib rail bumper, a head support wedge, body position rolls, an insulated baby bottle/cup holder and a liquid impervious drool pad. Each of the accessories is provided with a fourth separable fastener adapted for releasable attachment to the third separable fastener on the top surface of the upper sheet.

The pad also comprises a skirt for covering the sides and ends of a mattress. The batting layer is generally sized to a peripheral dimension to form the top platform of a mattress pad. The skirt is an integral extension of one of the first or second layers of the mattress pad. The first layer, second layer and batting layer are joined together to form a unitary mattress pad.

Abstract: There is provided a back support system of three foam members serving as a piece of recreational or therapeutic furniture. The three foam support members each have a generally rectangular shape when viewed from above and a triangular shaped when viewed from their sides and vary in size. The unique triangular shape of each of the three members enables the pieces to be assembled in a variety of positions depending upon the desires of the user. For example, one of the triangular pieces may be positioned to fit underneath the back and head area of the user while the second member may be placed under the legs of the user to lift the knee area and the third and smallest member may be placed under the lower leg area to keep the feet in an elevated position. Each cushion is made of a resilient foam polymeric material that is covered with a protective fabric.

The pillow comprises a pillow body having at least one side being a cavity and the surface of the pillow body provided with a plurality of extendable slits; and an insertion rod mounted within the cavity and having a plurality of connectable sections with various hardness and softness and the surface of the insertion rod being a plurality of recesses so that a plurality of protrusions are formed on the surface of the insertion rod and the size of the protrusions and the recesses depend greatly on the weight of the spinal cord of the user. When the pillow is used, the protrusions and the slot will be deformed based on the weight of the spinal cord of the user. The harder protrusion provides a massaging effect to the spinal cord of the user.

Abstract: An improved baby mattress is formed of four sections, with a two part central section including a pair of interactive cradles which provide safe and comfortable support for a sleeping infant. An upper life cradle area may be variably pressurized to produce a telescoping well which encourages placing the infant for safe sleeping on its back. A lower safety cradle is filled with strong and resilient foam rubber and serves to safely support the infant in the event of unwanted cradle deflation. An array of auxiliary support and shape retaining members serve to give the crib-sized mattresses a stable and smooth overall rectangular appearance.

Abstract: A composite fire barrier fabric including a fire barrier layer and a thermally insulating layer at least partially encloses the core of an open flame resistant mattress. The fire barrier layer and thermally insulating layer are composed of at least one flame-retardant fiber, and not necessarily the same flame retardant fiber. When tested in accordance with the flame resistance test protocols of NFPA 267 or ASTM E 1590, the mattress has a maximum heat release rate of less than 250 kW and a total energy release of less than 40 MJ in the first five minutes of the test.

Abstract: The alternating pressure cushion is a cushion for prevention and treatment of decubitus ulcers in hemodialysis patients, patients who are wheelchair bound, and other persons confined in a seated or reclined position for a prolonged period. The alternating pressure cushion has a back cushion section, a seat cushion section including an inflatable lumbar support, and a leg cushion section, each section having a plurality of air bladder networks. The air bladder networks are arranged so that each provides support when inflated. When one air bladder network is inflated to support the patient, the other air bladder is deflated to relieve pressure from areas of the patient's body. Alternately inflating and deflating the air bladder networks supports the patient without prolonged pressure points.

The first set of bristles are eleven and one half inches long and conical in shape and the second set of bristles are cylindrical in shape and are four inches in diameter and two inches long.

Each of the cleaning elements are positioned at an acute angle with respect to an interproximal line defined through the interproximal region.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaner brush having a case and a rotary element on which a floor cloth is attached. The rotary element is rotatably disposed on a lower portion of the case. A housing is disposed in the case, having a motor disposed therein, the motor rotatably driving the rotary element. A first and second bushing into which the driven shaft of the rotary element is provided with a blocking element protruding from a bottom surface of the case in the shape of a cylinder along a circumference of the first bushing for preventing dust and dirt from flowing into the first bushing. A ring element protrudes from an upper and inner circumference of the first bushing toward an outer circumference of the driven shaft, the ring element prevents dust and dirt from flowing into the housing. Dust and dirt are thereby prevented from flowing into the housing and damaging various components such as the motor and gears in the housing.

Abstract: A front brush attachment device for a vacuum cleaner comprises a multi-component housing, a rotationally driven brush roller, and a rotating and tilting joint for connecting the vacuum cleaner. The rotating and tilting joint has a tilting joint piece inserted in a suction duct of the housing, as well as a short, rotatable joint tube, which is connected with the tilting joint piece in a rotating manner. The tilting joint piece is supported in the housing in a manner permitting it to revolve about an axle aligned transversely in relation to the suction duct. The short, rotatable joint tube is mounted on a cylindrical connector piece with rotational mobility. A protrusion on the housing and a recess on the rotatable joint tube engage each other in the locking position and secure the short, rotatable joint tube against rotation. A spring-loaded locking lever is supported on the housing, which, in the locking position, engages a shoulder located on the periphery of the tilting joint piece.

Abstract: A buffering structure for wheels comprises at least a linking plate, a spindle, two concentric rigid hollow ferrules or up, and a kind of firm buffer material. When applying this invention, an outer end of the linking plate is hitched on the wheel shaft while the spindle is connected with a shaft carrier under a pushcart's deck. Therefore, in the event a wheel is conflicting with a curb for example, the impact of the wheel is imparted to the through hole in the outer end of the linking plate via the shaft, such that the outer end is driven to rotate surrounding the spindle to thereby convert the impact into a rotation force, and meanwhile, the buffer material stuffed inside and outside the smaller rigid ferrule is interacted with the rotating smaller ferrule and deformed to absorb the rotation force to alleviate that impact.

Abstract: A magnetic type floor hinge installed on a door, comprising an installing bracket, a moving plate, a compressing spring, a longitudinal hole in the moving plate, a main shaft cam in contact with the longitudinal hole. The main shaft cam is rotatably connected to a hinge shaft of the door and rotates with the hinge shaft. The magnetic type floor hinge further comprises at least one roller attached to the moving plate, a disk rotatably attached to the installing bracket, a yoke attached to the installing bracket and arranged around a magnetic operating part, and a gear-box comprising a plurality of gears that are connected between a rotating shaft of the main shaft cam and a rotating shaft of the disk. During operation of this magnetic type floor hinge, the rotating movement of the door hinge is converted to a rotating movement of the disk.

The grip portion has an ergonomically polygonal shaped outer surface. The item attachment structure is in force transferring relation to the ergonomically shaped outer surface and is securable to any one or a large variety of item shapes in a manner such that physical forces may be transferred between the item and the hand of a user gripping the ergonomically shaped outer surface portion.

The handle is removably attachable to a handle receiver carried on the cover, with the handle defining a finger grip surface. Abstract: A two-part clip construction includes a U-shaped clip made from a plastic material with the legs of the clip spaced so as to fit over and then be deformed through a through passage in a leg locking member. The construction is especially designed to permit utilization of polymerics for forming the clips.

The fastening component including one or more prongs arranged to engage the sheeting, textile or film to connect the component to the sheeting, textile or film, and attachment means enabling a length of resiliently extensible and/or inextensible material to be attached to the component and to the support. The fastening component may be used in combination with a length of resiliently extensible material and/or inextensible material, arranged to be releasably fastened at the other end to the support.

Abstract: A releasable retaining clip comprising a locking head defining a passageway that extends from an entry point on the locking head to an exit point on the locking head. A pivotable locking member extends from the locking head into the passageway between the entry point and the exit point. The locking member is pivotable between a first blocking and locking position, to an unlocked position. A strap portion extends outward from the locking head, adjacent the entry point of the passageway. The strap portion includes a head end connected to the locking head, a tail end spaced from the head end, and a strap body that extends from the tail end to the head end. A locking seat is formed into the strap body for receiving the locking member when the tail end of the strap portion and the strap body of the strap portion are urged through the entry point into the passageway.

Abstract: A process for making sanded elastic fabrics having low fuzz is described. The process involves sanding an elastic fabric with a microfinishing film to achieve a fabric having good side-center-side consistency, and a thick, consistent nap produced from a large number of short hairs. The fabrics can be produced at greater efficiency than achieved from conventional sanding methods, and with an enhanced aesthetic appearance.

Abstract: A nonwoven fabric suitable to be used as a kitchen paper including thermoplastic synthetic fibers being 7˜30 mm long and as fine as of 0.1˜0.8 d, in 90˜10% by weight and pulp fibers being 2˜7 mm long, in 10˜90% by weight, these component fibers being mixed together as homogeneously as possible and mechanically entangled so as to have a basis weight of 10˜80 g/m2 as a whole.

Abstract: A process for the production of a worsted wool fabric. A single wool yarn is shielded by wrapping a polymeric filament around it, to form a combined yarn. The combined yarn is weaved and subsequently the shielding polymer, which may be a synthetic polymer, is separated from the wool. The single wool yarn may be dyed prior to weaving and the wool may be roving.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing wet absorption yarns comprises the following steps of fabricating the polypropylene filaments into yarns; feeding the yarns to a false twisting machine for twisting the yarns; feeding the yarns to a driving roller and a package rollers for twisting the yarns to be as twisting yarns; transferring the twisting yarns to at least one brush roller with short brushes on the surface of the roller so that hairs are formed on the twisting yarns to be as haired twisting yarns; feeding the haired twisting yarns to at least one grooved roller; feeding the haired twisting yarns to at least one guiding wheel to be stretched and drying the haired twisting yarns; and outputting the haired twisting yarns as wet absorption yarns. Moreover, a wet absorption yarns is disclosed, where wet absorption yarns made from polypropylene filaments. The wet absorption yarns is twisted, haired and permeated with wet absorber.

Abstract: Apparatus for manufacturing multi-layer metal feedstock material for stamping shaped parts eliminates the need for rolls of metal at the stamping site. Multilayer metal feedstock material is assembled from multiple rolls of metal stock, then folded in a zig zag fashion, or “Z-fold” configuration, whereby the multilayer metal assembly is stacked vertically, usually on conventional pallets, for ease of moving with a forklift or otherwise. The multilayer metal z-fold stack of material is then transported to a parts stamping operation where the material is used as it unfolds as a continuous feed to machines to produce shaped multilayer metal parts. This invention is most useful in making multilayer metal foil z-fold feedstock material and using the z-fold material as continuous feed to processes for making shaped multilayer metal foil parts. The layers may have non-metal layers of material, such as fiber, between the metal layers or on the outside of the metal layers.

Abstract: A machine for carrying out mechanical workings preferably by showing removal includes a frame arranged for receiving a semi-worked piece having a cross section exhibiting dimensions remarkably smaller than the length of the piece measured along its own longitudinal axis. The semi-worked piece is arranged with the longitudinal axis along a working axis in a working station. A clamp is arranged at a number of cross sections of the semi-worked piece for locking the semi-worked piece in the working station. A tool is arranged for carrying out workings on faces of the semi-worked piece. A support to which the semi-worked piece is fixed by the clamp is suitable to be rotated about a service axis.

Abstract: A swaging tool for applying an assembly force on a fluid connector includes a tool main body, a first fluid connector holding section attached to the main body, a second fluid connector holding section attached to a piston, and a sensing system to determine when the fluid connector is in the proper position for assembly. The assembly tool applies an assembly force on the fluid connector when the fluid connector is in the proper position for assembly. In a preferred embodiment, the sensing system includes a fluid passage formed in the main body leading to a fluid port where the fluid port is positioned to be covered by the fluid connector when the fluid connector is in the proper position for assembly. The swaging tool applies an assembly force on the fluid connector when the fluid port is substantially covered by the fluid connector.

Abstract: A puller tool for installing wheel studs in a wheel hub comprises an outer sleeve having an axially extending passage, a washer defining a radial detent shoulder about the passage at one end of the sleeve, an actuating bolt including a threaded shank axially insertable into the passage and an enlarged head that engages the detent shoulder to prevent further insertion of the actuating bolt into the passage, and a puller member insertable into the passage for axially directed travel relative to the sleeve. The puller member is axially slidable relative to the outer sleeve by rotation of the actuating bolt which mates with a threaded hole in the puller member, and the puller member is prevented from rotating relative to the outer sleeve as it travels through a range of axial positions.
