Abstract: An ergonomic, non-recoiling belt worn lower abdominal pouch stays securely in place without bouncing and recoiling, and is secure from theft. The lower abdominal pouch includes a front panel joined at a bottom edge thereof and along two side edges to a rear panel, forming an open pocket therebetween with a top entry. Each panel is made of a flexible fabric or other synthetic or natural substrate material, such as canvas, leather and the like. The lower abdominal pouch is carried upon the wearer by being supported by the wearer's belt, which belt slides into a rear wall of the lower abdominal pouch, through a vertically extending button hole slot thereof and exits at a second button hole slot of a preferable outer rear wall in front of a preferable inner rear wall of the rear panel, thereby optionally providing a seal between the outer rear wall having the two open button hole slots for accommodating the user's belt therein.

  • Patent number: 6925696
Abstract: A rotor puller has two arm members, ending at claws, and a jack with an extendible piston. The arm members and the jack are pivotably attached together about a pivot axis. Springs bias the arm members toward each other. The claws are placed over a brake rotor and retained thereon by a pin. After the claws have been placed, the jack is centered and activated to extend the piston towards the claws. The piston forcibly engages a wheel hub while the claws forcibly engage the rotor, pulling it from the wheel hub. Handles on the arm members facilitate placement of the claws over the rotor.

  • Patent number: 6925701
Abstract: A method of making a resonant frequency tag which resonates at a predetermined frequency. The method involves providing a first conductive pattern having an inductive element and a first land and a second conductive pattern having a second land and a third land which are joined together by a link. The second conductive pattern is overlaid the first conductive pattern such that the second land is positioned over the first land. The third land is in electrical communication with the inductive element of the first conductive pattern. The formed resonant frequency tag is energized to determine if the tag resonates at the predetermined frequency. If the tag resonates properly, the third land is electrically coupled to the inductive element. If it does not, the second conductive pattern is adjusted so that overlapping portions of the first and second lands are changed, altering the capacitance to adjust the resonant tag frequency.

  • Patent number: 6925702
Abstract: A horizontal combined head is provided which has both a thin film write and an MR read element located at an air bearing surface (ABS). The read element can be formed with a track width that is independent of the track width of the write element. The MR sensor or the read element is separated from one of the first and second pole pieces of the write element by an insulation layer. Accordingly, the shields for the read element remain more stable after a write operation. In one embodiment of the present invention a single stripe MR sensor is employed while in a second embodiment a dual stripe MR sensor is employed. A method of the invention includes forming the dual MR stripe in a single process step so that the dual MR stripes of the dual MR sensor are near identical for implementing near absolute common mode rejection of noise.

  • Patent number: 6925728
Abstract: A grooming device having a first unit and upper hand-held unit connected to the first unit is disclosed. A vacuum unit in the first unit creates a vacuum air flow in a vacuum chamber in the hand-held unit, while a heating unit in the first unit generates a heated air flow to a heat chamber in the hand-held unit. The heat chamber and vacuum chamber are contained within a vessel in the hand-held unit. The heat chamber is separated from the vacuum chamber by a wall having regularly spaced pores. When both the vacuum unit and heating unit of the device are switched on, the vacuum flow in the vacuum chamber pulls heated air from the heat chamber through pores in the wall so that dry, heated air flows along the length of the vessel. Thus, hair placed in the vacuum chamber of the hand-held unit is exposed to the combined effect of the vacuum and flow of heated air. In a further embodiment, the wall of the vacuum chamber is heated by a heating element thereby causing the vacuum flow to be heated.

Abstract: A paint removal apparatus includes a canister partially filled with a pressurized coolant. The apparatus includes a housing having a body portion mounted atop the canister with a handle portion extending from the body portion. The handle includes an inlet port while the body portion includes first and second outlet ports. The inlet port is capable of connection to a compressed air stream for delivery thereof through an air channel between the inlet and second outlet ports. A coolant channel extends between the canister and the first outlet port. A trigger connected to a primary valve is movable between first, second, and third configurations. The primary valve and cooperating linkages enable a user to select between delivery of the air stream alone or a portion of the coolant whereby to strip paint. A scraping blade may be removably and rotatably coupled to the housing. The coolant may be dry ice.

Abstract: The invention is an article of footwear with an upper and a sole structure. The primary components of the sole structure are a midsole and a frame element. The midsole is connected to the upper in a forefoot region of the footwear, but is unconnected to the upper in a rearfoot region of the footwear. The frame element is structured to extend onto a heel portion of the upper and around the heel portion to thereby stabilize the heel portion. The frame element may serve as a spring that provides cushioning in combination with the midsole. The configuration of the frame element, which extend onto the heel portion of the upper, leaves a lower surface of the upper exposed to permit direct contact with the midsole.

Abstract: The invention relates to a shoe having an arch support extending from an interior of a shoe to an exterior of a shoe. The arch support can be adjusted from the exterior of the shoe. The arch support includes straps which each have a slide groove formed therein. On one end of each strap are strap eyelets. The shoe includes an upper having a slit opening separating an upper paneling and a lower paneling. The arch support is located within the shoe, and extends through the slit opening. Rivets connect the upper paneling and the lower paneling. The rivets are also aligned with and extend through the slide grooves on the arch support. Accordingly, the arch support straps may slide along the rivets to tighten or loosen the arch support within the shoe.

  • Patent number: 6925736
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for constructing an underground wall in a trench, include using multiple chains on an endless chain cutter and individually controlling the speed and/or direction of the chains, various configurations of cutter bits and agitator bars on the chains, a technique for assembling the endless chain cutter in a horizontal position outside of a starter trench, then erecting the endless chain cutter to a vertical position in the starter trench. A guide frame straddles the starter trench. The endless chain cutter is repeatedly moved within the guide frame, then the guide frame is re-positioned until the entire length of the trench has been excavated. A central portion of the trench may be cut deeper than outer portions to create interlocking joints between adjacent wall sections and added stability for the resulting wall. Side gap barriers seal gaps between the sides of the endless chain cutter and side walls of the trench.

  • Patent number: 6925739
Abstract: The present invention is a multi-functional box that serves as packaging, calendar stand, and as storage/carrying case. Whereas the commonly known “boxed calendars” that are currently available in the marketplace are comprised of an outer carton for packaging that is thrown away, a bound pad of paper, and a plastic calendar stand that may also be discarded, the present invention quickly and conveniently opens from its closed and locked storage/transport position to become a tilt back calendar stand for a daily calendar or pad of paper. The calendar stand can be quickly closed back into its original closed position and secured with a locking system. Stored within the box are loose sheets of paper that comprise the calendar. Further, each calendar page may provide an activity function through the present invention, that is either allowed or improved through its use of unbound pages, self-storage of said pages, and the ability to easily insert ancillary items necessary for certain activities.
