Publication number: 20060032039Abstract: In manufacturing a pressure sensor a recess that will form part of the sensor cavity is formed in a lower silicon substrate. An SOI-wafer having a monocrystalline silicon layer on top of a substrate is bonded to the lower silicon substrate closing the recess and forming the cavity. The supporting substrate of the SOI-wafer is then etched away, the portion of the monocrystalline layer located above the recess forming the sensor diaphragm. The oxide layer of the SOI-wafer here acts as an “ideal” etch stop in the case where the substrate wafer is removed by dry (plasma) or wet etching using e.g. KOH. This is due to high etch selectivity between silicon and oxide for some etch processes and it results in a diaphragm having a very accurately defined and uniform thickness. The cavity is evacuated by forming a opening to the cavity and then sealing the cavity by closing the opening using LPCVD. Sensor paths for sensing the deflection of the diaphragm are applied on the outer or inner surface of the diaphragm.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2005Publication date: February 16, 2006Applicant: Silex Microsystems ABInventors: Pelle Rangsten, Edvard Kalvesten, Marianne Mechbach

Publication number: 20060032067Abstract: A tool for measuring compliance with building construction codes comprises at least one indentation having a diameter that is representative of a maximum or minimum diameter of a handrail or grab bar, as permitted by code standards. The indentation is positioned adjacent a handrail or grab bar to determine compliance with relevant code standards. The tool may also include a tab positioned adjacent The indentation to simultaneously measure the distance a grab bar or handrail is spaced from a wall, and the diameter of the handrail or grab bar.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 10, 2004Publication date: February 16, 2006Inventor: Mark Orr

Publication number: 20060032069Abstract: A system, for installation of fastening systems to a structure, includes a fastening system installation specification, which includes dimensional and qualitative requirements for components of the fastening systems; and a tool. The tool includes an outer housing having an interior hollow, a gage surface, and a base surface, the base surface having a contact area that contacts the surface of the structure. An inner plug disposed within the interior hollow translates axially within the interior hollow. The inner plug has a sensing end that contacts a bolt of the fastening system and references the shank section of the bolt. The inner plug has an indicator end dimensioned to accept washers and nuts of the fastening system stacked on the gage surface. The inner plug has an indicator that provides installation information, according to either qualitative or dimensional requirements, about the components of the fastening system being installed using the tool.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 20, 2004Publication date: February 16, 2006Applicant: The Boeing CompanyInventors: David Jensen, David Pett, Paul Buehler

Publication number: 20060032071Abstract: A channel (103) is formed in a substrate (101) and a drying area (107) comprising a plurality of pillars (105) is formed in one end of the channel (103). A cover (109) is formed over the channel (103), except the area above the drying area (107). When a sample is introduced into the channel (103), it is guided to the drying area (107) by capillary phenomenon. The drying area (107) is heated by a heater (111) to evaporate the solvent for concentrating and drying the solute.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2003Publication date: February 16, 2006Inventors: Masakazu Baba, Toru Sano, Kazuhiro Uda, Hisao Kawaura, Noriyuki Iguchi, Wataru Hattori, Hiroko Someya, Minoru Asogawa

Publication number: 20060032072Abstract: A single-substrate heat-processing apparatus (2) for a semiconductor processing system includes a process container (4) configured to accommodate a target substrate (W). A support member (6) is disposed in the process container (4) and configured to support the target substrate (W) substantially in a horizontal state, while a bottom surface of the target substrate is exposed. A heating gas supply section (20) is disposed to generate a heating gas and supply the heating gas toward the bottom surface of the target substrate (W). A distribution member (16) is disposed within a flow passage of the heating gas supplied from the heating gas supply section (20), and configured to improve distribution uniformity of the heating gas onto the bottom surface of the target substrate (W).Type: ApplicationFiled: May 26, 2004Publication date: February 16, 2006Applicant: Tokyo Electron LimitedInventors: Kenichi Yamaga, Ken Nakao

Publication number: 20060032073Abstract: This invention relates to a vacuum processing apparatus having vacuum processing chambers the insides of which must be dry cleaned, and to a method of operating such an apparatus. When the vacuum processing chambers are dry-cleaned, dummy substrates are transferred into the vacuum processing chamber by substrates conveyor means from dummy substrate storage means which is disposed in the air atmosphere together with storage means for storing substrates to be processed, and the inside of the vacuum processing chamber is dry-cleaned by generating a plasma. The dummy substrate is returned to the dummy substrate storage means after dry cleaning is completed. Accordingly, any specific mechanism for only the cleaning purpose is not necessary and the construction of the apparatus can be made simple.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 16, 2005Publication date: February 16, 2006Inventors: Shigekazu Kato, Kouji Nishihata, Tsunehiko Tsubone, Atsushi Itou

Publication number: 20060032074Abstract: An etching processing apparatus 1 has a transfer chamber 2, a plurality of processing chambers 3 and 4, and a plurality of cassette chambers 7 and 8. Inside the transfer chamber 2, a transfer mechanism 14 is provided. A control device 17 pauses the operation of the vacuum pump 16 after closing an opening/closing valve 15 of a vacuum evacuating mechanism, which vacuum evacuates the transfer chamber 2 in which the transfer mechanism 14 is provided, when the operation of the transfer mechanism 14 is paused for a predetermined time or longer. Accordingly, conservation of energy becomes possible without causing decrease of productivity.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2005Publication date: February 16, 2006Applicants: TOKYO ELECTRON LIMITED, KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOSHIBAInventors: Toshihiko Kitoku, Shinji Niwa, Toshiki Hosaka, Takashi Kitazawa, Atsuo Sanda, Yoshitaka Sato
