Publication number: 20060065355Abstract: A waste removal laminate layering rapid prototyping machine that embodies mold-releasing paper positioned atop a platform, and a press unit press that binds the mold-releasing paper onto a previous layer of the mold-releasing paper. A protective membrane is torn away from a topmost layer of the mold-releasing paper, whereupon a slicing unit cuts the topmost layer of the mold-releasing paper after having the protective membrane torn away into a preset shape, thereafter the protective membrane is returned, and is press bound atop the topmost layer of the mold-releasing paper, thereby allowing the waste material to adhere to the protective membrane. An adhesive failure unit causes interior waste material of the topmost layer of the mold-releasing paper to lose adhesiveness, thereby disabling from adhering to the previous layer of the mold-releasing paper. By repeating the aforementioned step, manufacturing of products provided with internally complex shapes is achieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2004Publication date: March 30, 2006Inventors: Yun-Yao Chiu, Yunn-Shiuan Liao, Hsin-Chih Li

Publication number: 20060065386Abstract: A self-actuating and self regulation heat exchange system comprising: evaporator 16, condenser 34, bladder sub-system 42, phase-change fluid 24 and connecting tubes, is a device and an apparatus useful to transport thermal energy from a relatively hot zone to a relatively cold zone, over distance, and around or through obstructions. The bladder sub system, consisting of an expandable bladder and two one-way check-valves, utilizes the pressure difference in the system created during evaporation and condensation to make the phase-change fluid circulate inside the closed loop system, transferring thermal energy from evaporator to condenser. The operation of the device is self started, self regulated and the device is almost independent of gravity, and the orientation.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2005Publication date: March 30, 2006Inventor: Mohammed Alam

Publication number: 20060065388Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of directing ventilating air and airflow control in a ventilating, heating or air conditioning system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a structure and method to provide air flow mixture via with reduced heat pickup utilizing a separate piece air deflector located within the lower housing of the HVAC unit, and ribs to direct airflow. The HVAC unit provides an inserted deflector means which provides for smaller packaging volume, allows air deflection and airflow towards the distribution area of the unit, and, provides a drainage means for undesired water, before it reaches the distribution area, yielding an HVAC unit, with the same functionality as larger HVAC units.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2004Publication date: March 30, 2006Applicant: Valeo Climate Control Corp.Inventors: David Newman, Richard Delplace, Steven Marshall

Publication number: 20060065389Abstract: The subject invention provides a heat transfer device (24) for controlling the temperature of an instrument panel (18) extending from and under a windshield (16) of a vehicle (10). Sunlight (22) passes through the windshield (16), thereby heating the surface of the instrument panel (18). The instrument panel (18) then transfers the heat to an interior compartment (14) of the vehicle (10) affecting the thermal comfort of a passenger. The heat transfer device (24) directly removes the heat stored in the instrument panel (18) to limit the transfer of heat from the instrument panel (18) to the interior compartment (14). Preferably, the heat transfer device (24) circulates a flow of cooling air (40) over the surface of the instrument panel (18) to remove the heat stored therein. As such, the heat transfer device (24) limits the heat transfer into and thereby cools the interior compartment (14) of the vehicle (10) to meet the desired thermal comfort level of the passenger in less time and with less energy.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2004Publication date: March 30, 2006Inventors: Lin-Jie Huang, John Pawlak

Publication number: 20060065390Abstract: An intermittent lift plunger includes at least one seal mandrel, a bottom sub and an upper valve assembly. The valve assembly is closed by a well bottom stop which inserts into the lift plunger and opened by a lubricator stop at the top of the well. The seal mandrel includes a sleeve seal formed from an elastomeric rubber or plastic, which inflates to engage the well bore surface when the valve is closed and a pressure differential exists.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 23, 2005Publication date: March 30, 2006Inventors: Ryan AMIES, Grant GEORGE

Publication number: 20060065391Abstract: In one aspect, the present invention provides a sealing apparatus for use in a tubular member. In one embodiment, the sealing apparatus includes an expandable sleeve and an expandable a toroidal/ring-shaped seal. The seal seats within a circumferential saddle or groove formed in the sleeve. An exemplary seal has an enlarged diameter portion and presents a radially outward sealing surface. During expansion, the enlarged diameter portion is compressed against the tubular member but, at least initially, the remainder of the sealing surface is not compressed. Thus, the pressure associated with the compression is focused on the limited contact area between the seal and the tubular. Continued expansion can increase the contact pressure and/or the amount of contact area. In one arrangement, the seal is configured to provide a gas tight seal.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2005Publication date: March 30, 2006Applicant: Owen Oil Tools LPInventor: Jimmy Carr

Publication number: 20060065392Abstract: A system and method for gathering and recovering natural and artificial accumulations of crude oil from natural emanations and capped oil wells, respectively. For a natural emanation or leak from capped oil wells, a vertical well is drilled in the vicinity of the accumulated crude oil. The migration of the crude oil through the cracks and fractures of the rocks are attracted to the interior of the vertical well. The crude oil is then gathered and collected through the use of an air compressor. For multiple natural emanations, a horizontal well is placed in the vicinity of the accumulated crude oil and gathered and collected through the use of a pumping system. The present invention removes environmental hazards to underwater, surface underground water and soil, wildlife, while providinge a cost efficient method to transform otherwise wasted crude oil accumulations to a commercially viable product.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 27, 2005Publication date: March 30, 2006Inventor: Vicente Davila

Publication number: 20060065393Abstract: A system to determine the mixture of fluids in the deviated section of a wellbore comprising at least one distributed temperature sensor adapted to measure the temperature profile along at least two levels of a vertical axis of the deviated section. Each distributed temperature sensor can be a fiber optic line functionally connected to a light source that may utilize optical time domain reflectometry to measure the temperature profile along the length of the fiber line. The temperature profiles at different positions along the vertical axis of the deviated wellbore enables the determination of the cross-sectional distribution of fluids flowing along the deviated section. Together with the fluid velocity of each of the fluids flowing along the deviated section, the cross-sectional fluid distribution enables the calculation of the flow rates of each of the fluids. The system may also be used in conjunction with a pipeline, such as a subsea pipeline, to determine the flow rates of fluids flowing therethrough.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 17, 2005Publication date: March 30, 2006Inventors: Glynn Williams, Kevin Forbes, Arthur Hartog, Christian Koeniger, George Brown
