Abstract: A paint roller tray is made from one piece of plastic and has a rectangular bottom with a raised edge, which edge stops along one side. The paint roller tray, furthermore, has two flexible arms, one on each side of the place where the raised edge stops. Each arm is provided with a means of coupling made up of two flexible hooks for coupling the paint roller tray to a paint tin. When the paint roller tray is on the paint tin, the side where the raised edge stops is situated above an opening in the top of the paint tin. Here, the hooks grip the rim of the paint tin.

Abstract: Disclosed is an automobile hood stopper structure wherein a stopper serving as a cushioning member during closing of a hood attached to a front potion of an automobile body is disposed between the hood and an automobile body member, which comprises a support bracket formed with a support portion supporting the stopper, and attached to the automobile body member. The automobile hood stopper structure is designed such that, when the stopper supported by the support bracket is subjected to the action of a load having a given value or more which is greater than a load acting thereon during closing of the hood, the support bracket is deformed to thereby facilitate a downward movement of the stopper. The automobile hood stopper structure of the present invention can effectively absorb an impact energy during closing of a hood, and effectively cushion an impact load acting in the event of a collision, for example, a collision of a pedestrian's head against a top surface of the hood, in a simplified structure.

Abstract: A decorative hinge does more—but also has shocking eye appeal. A hinge that can turn fish, whales, animal, birds and insects into designer hinges. The different designs and figures that can be made into hinges will never end. Especially adds sales appeal. Being a surface mounted hinge, that gives you a full opening—as a 28? door will be 28? wide instead of 26? as now. That will allow room for wheel chair passage—that has never been possible. You do not have to reconstruct a home to apply a surface mounted hinge.

Abstract: Batch casting of rim sprockets for chain saws as particularly applied to larger rim sprockets experience undesired high scrap rate resulting from porosity and chip-out. The solution is to ensure flow of molten steel throughout solidification of the molten steel in the sprocket mold while retaining molten steel portals or gates of a size that permits breakaway of portal stems. Such enhances the cooling rate of the molten steel in the sprocket mold which was found beneficial. The objective of reduced scrap rate is thus accomplished by maintaining a ratio of mass to surface area of the sprockets being cast to no greater than about 4 grams of material to each square inch of surface area and alternatively provide through bores through the rim sprockets which additionally assist in wood chip removal. This design also reduces the material content which reduces the cost and weight of the product.

Abstract: A stage driving apparatus comprising a movable unit, a fixed unit, first, second, and third driving units, and a controller, is provided. The movable unit can be moved in first and second directions. The movable unit can be rotated on a movable-plane. The movable plane is parallel to both the first and the second directions. The fixed unit supports the movable unit so as to be movable and rotatable. The first driving unit supplies a driving force in the second direction to the movable unit. The second and third driving units supply driving forces in the first direction to the movable unit. A second driving point of the movable unit receives the driving force from the second driving unit. A third driving point of the movable unit receives the driving force from the third driving unit. A line segment connecting the second and the third driving points is not parallel to the first direction.

Abstract: A tool for scribing a longitudinal groove on an elongate cylindrical rod suitable for implanting as a prosthetic in a living being supports the rod in a linear groove on a bed of a frame of the tool. A track is mounted on the frame and runs parallel to the groove. A carrier mounted on the track can slide on the track in constant spaced relation to and along the groove. A scribe mounted on the carrier extends toward the groove to contact a rod in the predetermined position. A preferred version of the tool has a clamp mounted on the bed for clamping the rod in the predetermined position. Additional features allow for precise angular positioning of the rod and for scribing a dashed line on the rod. In use, the tool operator places the rod in the predetermined position in the groove. The scribe is then pressed into contact with the rod. While the scribe is in pressed contact with the rod, the operator slides the carrier along the track.

Abstract: Systems and methods for obtaining dimensions for threaded fasteners are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes an apparatus that determines a dimension of a fastener using a probe that senses a linear displacement of the fastener. A probe tip is rotatably disposed on the probe that contacts the fastener. A controller is coupled to the apparatus for receiving the dimensional characteristic. In another embodiment, a measurement apparatus includes a rotating spindle that supports the fastener and a probe that detects a dimension and having a portion that rotatably engages the fastener. A scale is coupled to the probe to determine a displacement. In another embodiment, a method includes positioning a fastener in a spindle that rotates the fastener, engaging the fastener with a probe to sense a dimension of the fastener, the probe having a terminal portion that rotatably conforms to the fastener, and processing the dimension.

Abstract: In an electrostatic atomizing hairdryer, electrostatically atomized mist generated in an electrostatic atomizing unit is effectively scattered into airflow emitted from a main body of the hairdryer so that the mist can be sprayed to hair uniformly and a time necessary for treatment of hair can be shortened. A tank constituting the electrostatic atomizing unit is detachably provided on a portion in the vicinity of an outer periphery of the main body, and an electrode unit for generating the mist is provided in a path of airflow sucked in an inside of the main body so as to be insulated from heat of a heating unit by an adiabator. A mist emitting opening from which the mist is emitted is disposed on a plane substantially the same as and at substantially the center of an air exit opening of the main body. Thereby, the mist emitted from the mist emitting opening is effectively scattered into the airflow emitted from the air exit opening.
