Patent number: 7024755Abstract: A method of using a balance clip in a hard disk drive spindle motor for disk pack balance correction provides the balance clip with one end that is offset from the circular shape of the balance clip. The offset end is located opposite the precise bent tab that provides tooling engagement in the balance clip. The offset end of the balance clip is offset at a radius that is less than the radius of the balance clip, or at a lesser radial offset from the circular shape. The edge of the offset end does not make contact with the groove in which the balance clip is seated. This design eliminates scratching between the offset end and motor hub, and reduces friction and particle generation during clip adjustment in the disk pack balancing process.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2003Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Netherlands B.V.Inventors: Ta-Chang Fu, Stanley Yen Wong

Patent number: 7024769Abstract: A process and a device produces an assembly linkage on a hollow profile which is shaped for the installation of the assembly part by internal high-pressure remodeling. In order to achieve the shaping of an assembly linkage in a component space-saving, for a subsequent assembly correctly positioned, and with regard to its contour exactly fitted to the assembly part, in simple manner and even with high degrees of remodeling in a secure process, the hollow profile, under internal pressure, which is smaller than the remodeling pressure, is indented at the place of the to-be-produced assembly linkage by a die and by forming a rough contour. Afterward, while the die remains in this indenting position, a fluid high pressure is created in the hollow profile. Thereby, the hollow profile sides surrounding the die are molded to the external contour of the die, and that after releasing the fluid high pressure and the subsequent removal of the die, the finished trough-shaped assembly linkage is released.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2003Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: DaimlerChrysler AGInventors: Pierre Bonny, Thomas Huelsberg

Patent number: 7024770Abstract: The invention provides high strength dental polymeric dental products made from wax-like polymerizable dental material. These dental products have superior strength compared to products formed from prior wax-like polymerizable materials. Prior wax-like polymerizable materials do not form strong enough polymeric material for making dentures. High strength dentures are made by positioning artificial teeth in wax-like polymerizable dental material of the invention. This material is then shaped and polymerized to the form a denture base of high strength dental polymeric material. These dentures are completed without forming wax and without applying inorganic plaster to the artificial teeth.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2003Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: Dentsply Research & Development Corp.Inventors: Benjamin J. Patent number: 7024796Abstract: This invention discloses systems and methods for conversion of manure to novel fertilizer and/or soil builder products useful as input for organic farming operations. The equipment systems comprise a gas turbine generator unit (preferred heat source), a dryer vessel and a processing unit, wherein the connection between the gas turbine and the dryer vessel directs substantially all the gas turbine exhaust into the dryer vessel and substantially precludes the introduction of air into the dryer vessel. The dryer vessel receives the manure for contact with the turbine exhaust gases to convert the manure to a dry material, which is passed to the processing unit where it is formed into granules, pellets or other desired form for the final dry fertilizer product. The method comprises drying, heating and converting the manure to form novel self binding fertilizer and soil builder type products for organic farming and other uses.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2004Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: EarthRenew, Inc.Inventors: Christianne Carin, Christianne Carin, legal representative, Alvin W. Patent number: 7024797Abstract: A horizontally extending hose cleaning and drying apparatus includes a plurality of rack sections connected at ends thereof to create an elongated rack having a slope. Each rack section includes an upper plate having apertures or mesh material to allow water to fall therethrough. Legs are detachably connected to each rack section, the shortest legs being attached to a rack section at one end of the rack and the longest legs being attached to a rack section at the opposite end of the rack to create the slope. Preferably, the rack is of a length of at least 50 feet to accommodate fire hoses.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2004Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Inventor: Angelo J. Bessa

Patent number: 7024798Abstract: A low-pressure dryer dries a substrate applied a coating solution thereon at low pressure. The dryer includes an airtight chamber installing a substrate table to place the substrate thereon; a diffuser plate, provided as facing the substrate placed on the substrate table with a gap, for discharging gas existing in the gap toward outside, the diffuser plate having a size almost the same as or larger than the substrate; a substrate-temperature adjuster, installed in the substrate table, for adjusting a temperature of the substrate; and a decompression mechanism for decompressing the airtight chamber. The diffuser plate has a temperature adjuster for making temperature adjustments to have a temperature difference between a first region and a second region of the diffuser plate, the first region facing a center region of the substrate, the second region being outside the first region and including a region facing an outer region of the substrate.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2005Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: Toyota Electron LimitedInventors: Tomohide Minami, Hiroshi Shinya, Takahiro Kitano

Patent number: 7024799Abstract: The invention relates to a method for treating products with air in order to enable the conservation, storage and use thereof. Said invention also relates to a device for treating such products and the products obtained using said treatment method. The products (P) to be treated, such as a hay drier or other similar agricultural products, are loaded into a closed space (20) that is connected to a thermodynamic machine (21) which is controlled using a programmable automaton (22) and which is powered by an electrical cabinet (25). Three mass of water in air sensors (Q1, Q2 and Q3) determine the operation of the machine according to the desired treatment objectives both in terms of moisture in relation to the product treated and power consumption. The invention is suitable for treating diverse products such as agricultural products.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2002Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: Oddeis S.A.Inventor: Maurice Perret

Patent number: 7024800Abstract: This invention discloses systems and methods for conversion of high moisture waste materials to dry or low moisture products for recycle or reuse. The equipment systems comprise a gas turbine generator unit (preferred heat source), a dryer vessel and a processing unit, wherein the connection between the gas turbine and the dryer vessel directs substantially all the gas turbine exhaust into the dryer vessel and substantially precludes the introduction of air into the dryer vessel and wherein the processing unit forms the dried material from the dryer vessel into granules, pellets or other desired form for the final product. Optionally, the systems and methods further provide for processing ventilation air from manufacturing facilities to reduce emissions therefrom.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2004Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: EarthRenew, Inc.Inventors: Christianne Carin, legal representative, Alvin W.
