The anti-rotation element protrudes from the skirt in the radial direction, in order to be accommodated in a corresponding groove of the cylinder head as an anti-rotation safeguard. According to the invention, the anti-rotation element (6) has an outer contour in longitudinal section with a head (20) and a stem (21). The stem has a reduced dimension compared with the head (20) and a thickened portion (32), and can be clipped into the recess of the skirt of the cup tappet under elastic deformation of the thickened portion (32). In this way, an anti-rotation safeguard is possible which can be assembled particularly simply, can be manufactured cheaply and is reliable.

Abstract: A mechanism or “motion converter” including cylinder, piston, yoke, 2 crankshafts and 2 gears converts linear motion of piston to rotary motion (or reverse) of crankshafts without creating the lateral force applied to the piston. Kinematics characteristics of the motion converter reduce the speed of the piston on the way down and enhance the efficiency of the combustion process in the case of using it in the combustion engine.

The system comprises a secondary engine that drives a hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump is connected to a hydraulic motor. The hydraulic motor is integrated with an accessory belt drive system on a primary engine. The secondary engine drives the ABDS system through the hydraulic pump and hydraulic motor when the primary engine is not operating, thus allowing various primary engine accessories such as air conditioning to be operated while the primary engine is off. A one-way clutch on the primary engine crankshaft prevents the primary engine crankshaft from being turned when the hydraulic motor is driving the belt. A one-way clutch on the hydraulic motor prevents it from being driven when the primary engine is in operation.

According to this method, fuel is injected into each combustion chamber of the diesel engine at least by one main injection (HE) and by one afterinjection (BOOST) that is subsequent to the main injection, and an electric control unit (ECU) and a mapping stored therein serve to control the start and the amount of the afterinjection (BOOST) according to the end of the main injection (HE) and control operating parameters of the diesel engine.

Abstract: A throttle control system includes a valve, an electric throttle unit, a control unit, a throttle sensor, a memory device, and a memory execution unit. The throttle control system operates the memory execution unit to allow the memory device to store an opening signal detected by the throttle sensor as a “detected full opening” of the valve, when energization of the electric throttle unit is stopped by the control unit and the valve stops at a “mechanical full opening” by mechanical operation. Thus, it becomes possible to coincide the actual valve opening of the valve and a “control valve opening” which the control unit recognizes. Therefore, it becomes possible to decrease system variation between the electric throttle unit and the control unit. Moreover, a control accuracy of an air intake amount by the throttle control system can be improved.
