Abstract: A self-contained light system for installation of lights on trucks, all-terrain vehicles and pull-type farm equipment which increases visibility, allows compliance with the law, is inexpensive to manufacture and easy to install is described and claimed. The system and apparatus disclosed herein is adaptable to vehicles having hoist mounted beds. The fixed light mounting system disclosed allows the light assembly portion of the system to swing freely. Lights and signs mounted using the described apparatus may then swing to adjust to the change in the angle of the bed in relation to the ground as the bed is raised or lowered. The lights and signage continue projecting straight out from the box or bed improving visibility. The apparatus described may be adopted for off-road vehicles or farm implements to reduce damage to lighting systems upon impact with either the road or off-road materials propelled by the vehicle or equipment tires.

Abstract: An advertising and promotional display device has a display sheet formed into a closed loop which is wound around a pair of rollers. A motor is connected to an upper one of said pair of rollers to rotate the roller and revolve the sheet around the pair of rollers in order to show a continuously moving set of images imprinted on the sheet. A pair of stands supports the motor as well as the upper roller so that the pair of rollers and the sheet are essentially suspended from the top ends of the stands. The rollers are composed of detachably interconnected roller members and the stands are also composed of detachably interconnected stand members enabling the device to be collapsed down into component parts for portability. A shroud covers the upper roller, the top ends of the stands and part-of the sheet. The shroud is composed of detachably interconnected segments enabling it to be collapsed into component parts for portability.

Abstract: A binocular display device or module includes a pair of display panels that are custom aligned with respective viewing optics. The binocular display device has a first lens assembly for viewing the first display panel and a second lens assembly for viewing the second display panel. Alignment fixtures within the binocular display device are used to physically align and fix the optics with the display panels using an alignment system. The alignment system includes a camera system for viewing the first display panel of the binocular display device through the first lens assembly, and the second display panel through the second lens assembly. Display panel alignment indicia can be located on the first and second display panels. A viewing screen system can be included for viewing images of the display panel alignment indicia on the first and second display panels which are provided by the camera system.

Abstract: A business form particularly adapted for use during medical emergencies includes in a first embodiment a wristband/label assembly that is readily separable from a carrier, with the wristband including a single end for looping around a victim's appendage through a cinch and a tab carrying a plurality of labels with the wristband and each label having an identifying indicia such as a bar code printed thereon. The wristband bar code thus becomes associated with the victim and the labels are used to identify items associated with the patient such as his possessions, medical charts, medicines, etc. The wristband may be color coded so that as the medical personnel triage victims they are categorized by color as to their need for medical care, with the color coding thus being readily ascertainable by others as multiple victims are processed.

Further, the body and the shelf may be portions of a unitary member. The invention also provides a picture display apparatus that includes an L-shaped body, a display area, a shelf, an accessory, and an adhesive. The display area is on the front of the vertical member of the L-shaped body whereas the horizontal member of the body defines an accessory shelf. In another preferred embodiment, a picture display apparatus for displaying a cross-stitched picture held on a stretcher frame is provided.

Upon actuation of a release latch, the opening mechanisms move a support panel around to the back of the mirror, thereby raising the device into a tilted position (if the device is resting on a surface). Preferably simultaneously, the two movable display panels are also moved to an open configuration wherein they are exposed.

Abstract: Hammer disarmer for rifles, constituted of a cylindrical pin lodged in the hammer itself having an operable protruding head over the curved upper surface of the hammer spur, going downwards through a cylindrical portion provided with a frontal plane recess, within which a positioning transverse pin limiting the movements of the disarming axle operates, over which a small return spring lodged within the hole of the hammer also actuates, said hole whose diameter decreases downwards, lodging and guiding the whole elongated portion of the disarmer until its edge emerges from the lower plane face of the hammer, where it actuates the disarming lever. If the hammer is armed, a thumb pressure on the actuation head, is sufficient to release the hammer disarmer, which is pushed by the corresponding spring to an interrupted rotation when fitted to the trigger, before the position of percussion. If the hammer is disarmed, it can be simply armed with the thumb to fire the gun, pulling the trigger when desired.

Abstract: The present invention (known as the SIDEWINDER) provides a tool for use in disassembly and reassembly of the three components both metric and inch versions of the FAL type rifle. It is a primary object to provide a tool in accordance with the present invention which utilizes a hole in the bolt which houses the firing pin retaining pin. Another object of the invention is to provide such a novel and unique tool which not only removes the extractor components, but also all the components of the bolt. Another object of the present invention is to provide a novel and unique tool as described wherein such a tool is more compact than other tools, lends itself to being stored either in the rifle cleaning kit compartment, or cleaning components tool roll associated with the rifle.

A leaf spring is arranged for applying a restoring force to the inner tube and extends in a substantially radial direction and has radially offset support locations, both on the outer tube and on the inner tube. The leaf spring is preferably arranged in the neighborhood of the enlarged inner diameter.

Abstract: A control device for marine animals comprises an electrical device that applies an electrical voltage directly to a marine animal in order to shock the marine animal, for control thereof. The device preferably comprises a pole or rod having electrical prongs at one end which my be applied to the marine animal, thereby applying and electrical signal having a voltage, amperage and frequency that stuns and/or shocks the animal. The character of the electrical signal is such that the animal is temporarily paralyzed, so that it may be safely handled by humans for bringing it into a watercraft without otherwise damaging the animal.

Abstract: A keeper for securing various configurations of rigged fishing line comprises a doubled strand of rigid wire bent into a form which allows a fixed end to be secured to a fishing rod blank while an open other end remains open to allow a rigged line to be inserted under it. A method of attaching the keeper to a fishing rod blank aligns it axially with the open end toward the reel seat and applies silicone type or an equivalent waterproof fastener means around the fixed end and the rod blank.

Abstract: The fishing diver of the present invention has a diver body that has a top surface, a bottom surface, a front edge and a rear edge. The diver body is coated with a reflective coating with the exception of a coating free portion located approximately in the middle of the diver body. There is an attractor attachment means extending from the diver bottom surface for attaching a user selectable flasher attractor. A line to a fishing pole extends from the diver body front edge and a line to a hook or lure extends from the diver body rear edge. Light from above projects through the coating free portion of the diver body onto the attached flasher attractor below. A portion of the light reflects off the flasher attractor onto the bottom surface of the diver body and then in a downward direction; and another portion of the light reflects off the flasher attractor and in a more outward direction.

The c-weight 25 has an optimal longitudinal groove 40 therein for allowing the c-weight to be fixedly connected to the leader 13.

The method comprises: harvesting a tree from the field; trimming the tree; optionally packaging said tree in netting; and mounting a stand on said trimmed tree. The mounting step also includes sliding a tapered sleeve or a bulb-like sleeve onto the base of the tree and jamming or inserting the sleeve with the tree into a corresponding well of the base stand. The tree stand comprises a base with an upwardly projecting well and a sleeve. The sleeve may be a tapered hollow sleeve, or a bulb-like sleeve. When the bulb-like sleeve is used, wing screws can be employed to secure it to the well.

Abstract: A system for providing self watering of plants on a display structure. The system includes a top on the display structure having sides and a bottom forming a water tight structure. A reservoir having a series of perforations forming a honeycomb pattern is placed in the top. A water supply pipe having a series of spaced perforations extends along one side of the top. A capillary mat is placed over the reservoir for plants to sit upon. In use, water is supplied through the perforations of the water supply pipe evenly across the reservoir. The capillary mat absorbs the water until the mat is saturated. This water is absorbed by the roots of the plants in containers on the mat as needed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for producing hydrogen-containing fuel gases for fuel cells by catalytic reforming of hydrocarbons and subsequent gas purification. The process is characterized in that the catalytic reforming comprises two successive stages of which the first stage comprises autothermal reforming and the second stage comprises low-temperature steam reforming at temperatures below 650° C. In the first stage (autothermal reforming, ATR stage), a feed mixture of hydrocarbons, oxygen and water or water vapour is reacted over a catalyst in an autothermal reforming reaction to convert it incompletely into a hydrogen-rich gas mixture. The mixture which still contains residual amounts of hydrocarbons is then reacted in a subsequent steam reforming stage (second stage, SR stage) to give a hydrogen-rich fuel gas. A fuel gas which has a temperature at the reactor outlet of 400-650° C. and contains a very high proportion of hydrogen is obtained.

As an antitheft protection the component rests against the window pane or the window lifter under prestress and is swiveled, when the window pane is lifted, from the door shaft into a positive lock position with the door shell by a catch or support disposed on the window pane. In order to improve lateral and front-crash protection, the component is linked with the window pane and establishes a positive or negative lock between the door shells in a defined position of the window pane.

The metallic strip, preferably formed from zinc or a zinc alloy, reacts with water, preferably rain water, to form a growth inhibiting solution which flows down the roof or other structure to which the strip is mounted. The strip defines a reservoir for increasing the contact time between water and the strip to increase the metallic content of the solution for more effectively inhibiting growth on the structure to which the strip is mounted.

Abstract: A tile setting and installation tool is disclosed that allows for easier setting of tile marble or stone above the opening of a fireplace. The tool consists of an elongated member with a magnet located on the back of the member. The magnet attracts and temporarily holds onto a metal firebox to allow spacing and support for the tile marble or stone that is placed above the opening in the fireplace. The ends of the elongated member are thinned to the width of the grout spacing between the tiles to insure uniformity of tile marble or stone being placement or set. The tool may also included a level to verify orientation of the tile.
