Abstract: Hammer disarmer for rifles, constituted of a cylindrical pin lodged in the hammer itself having an operable protruding head over the curved upper surface of the hammer spur, going downwards through a cylindrical portion provided with a frontal plane recess, within which a positioning transverse pin limiting the movements of the disarming axle operates, over which a small return spring lodged within the hole of the hammer also actuates, said hole whose diameter decreases downwards, lodging and guiding the whole elongated portion of the disarmer until its edge emerges from the lower plane face of the hammer, where it actuates the disarming lever. If the hammer is armed, a thumb pressure on the actuation head, is sufficient to release the hammer disarmer, which is pushed by the corresponding spring to an interrupted rotation when fitted to the trigger, before the position of percussion. If the hammer is disarmed, it can be simply armed with the thumb to fire the gun, pulling the trigger when desired.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for producing hydrogen-containing fuel gases for fuel cells by catalytic reforming of hydrocarbons and subsequent gas purification. The process is characterized in that the catalytic reforming comprises two successive stages of which the first stage comprises autothermal reforming and the second stage comprises low-temperature steam reforming at temperatures below 650° C. In the first stage (autothermal reforming, ATR stage), a feed mixture of hydrocarbons, oxygen and water or water vapour is reacted over a catalyst in an autothermal reforming reaction to convert it incompletely into a hydrogen-rich gas mixture. The mixture which still contains residual amounts of hydrocarbons is then reacted in a subsequent steam reforming stage (second stage, SR stage) to give a hydrogen-rich fuel gas. A fuel gas which has a temperature at the reactor outlet of 400-650° C. and contains a very high proportion of hydrogen is obtained.

Abstract: A motor vehicle door with a door body includes a door outer shell and a door inner shell between which a window lifter for lifting and lowering a window pane is configured within a door shaft. A component disposed inside the door shaft presents a crosslink between the window pane or the window lifter and at least one door shell. As an antitheft protection the component rests against the window pane or the window lifter under prestress and is swiveled, when the window pane is lifted, from the door shaft into a positive lock position with the door shell by a catch or support disposed on the window pane. In order to improve lateral and front-crash protection, the component is linked with the window pane and establishes a positive or negative lock between the door shells in a defined position of the window pane.

Abstract: A door system used in a doorway, which may be circular, of a pressurizable compartment of a high temperature structure, having a screw for compressing the door and a thrust collar providing clearance between the thrust collar and a bearing member during decompression of the door such that in the event the pressurizable compartment is pressurized, the pressure is relieved through the doorway while the door remains in contact with the doorway. The screw includes a shoulder, and the thrust collar is carried on the screw between the shoulder and the bearing member. The collar is configured to bear against the bearing member and the shoulder upon compression of the door. A debris guard covers and protects the screw during advancement and retraction of the screw, and a door frame is provided having weld slots for facilitating welding of the door frame to the high temperature structure.

Abstract: A washer door or lid as defined by a tempered glass panel bordered by an open frame-like encapsulation of one-piece injection molded polymeric/copolymeric synthetic plastic material. The latter material is preferably acrylonitrile/styrene/acrylate polymer blended with mica glass beads at a ratio of substantially 70%-30% to 90%-10% by weight, but preferably 80%-20% by weight. Further specifics of the washer lid include a relatively thick inner periphery of the encapsulation which securely grips and reinforces an outer peripheral edge of the tempered glass panel, a rigid outer peripheral skirt, an indiscrete handle, a reinforced hand corder for a switch actuator and opposite rear corners carrying hinges for securing the washer lid to an associated washer opening.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for inhibiting growth of moss, fungus, algae, and other vegetation on roofs and other housing structures include a metallic strip mounted to the structure by non-intrusive mounting elements, as for example, adhesive, to avoid permanent damage to the structure to which the strip is mounted. The metallic strip, preferably formed from zinc or a zinc alloy, reacts with water, preferably rain water, to form a growth inhibiting solution which flows down the roof or other structure to which the strip is mounted. The strip defines a reservoir for increasing the contact time between water and the strip to increase the metallic content of the solution for more effectively inhibiting growth on the structure to which the strip is mounted.

Abstract: A tile setting and installation tool is disclosed that allows for easier setting of tile marble or stone above the opening of a fireplace. The tool consists of an elongated member with a magnet located on the back of the member. The magnet attracts and temporarily holds onto a metal firebox to allow spacing and support for the tile marble or stone that is placed above the opening in the fireplace. The ends of the elongated member are thinned to the width of the grout spacing between the tiles to insure uniformity of tile marble or stone being placement or set. The tool may also included a level to verify orientation of the tile.

Abstract: The invention provides a modular building unit (1) comprising walls, a floor and a ceiling, which is preferably assembled off-site and furnished or fitted out off-site prior to being transported to a building site for assembly in a stack as a vertical and horizontal array to form a building. The modular building unit is essentially a lined shell defining the walls of a room. Vertical location of one such modular building unit (1) on the unit below it in the stack is established by a downwardly extending location flange (6) around the outside bottom edge of each module, engaging in a peripheral recess (2b, 2c) around the top perimeter of the outside top edge of the vertically adjacent module beneath it in the stack.
