Abstract: A self load-balancing, headset-wearing accommodating helmet strap system useable with a helmet shell having front, rear and opposite lateral sides, and including (a) a chin-strap cinching subsystem having (1) a pair of opposite-side, elongate, flexible, lateral strap elements intended for use on opposite lateral sides of such a helmet shell, and (2) an elongate chin-engaging component with opposite ends slideably mounted on and between the opposite ends of different ones of the lateral strap elements, and (b), for each of the lateral strap elements, a pair of attaching devices, with one such device being designed for attaching one end of a lateral strap element adjacent an associated front lateral side of a helmet shell, and the other attaching device being designed for attaching the other end of the same lateral strap element adjacent an associated rear lateral side of the helmet shell.

A central core is carried by the pocket of the elastomeric substrate. Abstract: Garments may include targeted vent or heat retention zones including openings or heat insulation areas in the fabric of various different sizes. The locations and sizes of these openings or heat insulation areas, at least in part, may be determined based on a thermal profile of a body from which the garment is designed. For example, openings or heat insulation areas of a larger size may be provided in the garment at locations where the body typically releases a large amount of heat, and openings or heat insulation areas of smaller sizes may be provided at other locations, e.g., where the body releases less heat. Several thermal profiles may be collected and used to develop a collection of opening patterns, e.g., corresponding to specific body characteristics, body types, and/or ultimate end uses for the garment. Custom patterns may be determined and used in garments specially designed for individual users.

Abstract: A process for producing an article in a flexible foamed polymer material, including treating a former with a coagulant; dipping the treated former in a latex foam mixture to form a layer of the mixture on the former that includes air cells; curing the layer to gel the foam mixture to a cross-linked open cell structure; and stripping the layer from the former; where the latex foam mixture includes a natural latex polymer as a primary polymer component, and a synthetic latex polymer as a secondary polymer component, which synthetic latex polymer is selected to enhance the evenness and/or fineness of said open cell structure.

Abstract: A flexible nursing reminder bracelet fabricated from an elastomeric compound is reversible to indicate right and left and includes at least one movable time marker to indicate either total daily nursing time, finish time of the last nursing session, or start time of the next nursing session. One side of the bracelet is marked “RIGHT”; the other side, “LEFT”. If the outside indicates “RIGHT”, the indication can be changed to “LEFT” simply by flipping the bracelet inside-out. It can be returned to indicate “RIGHT” by flipping it again. The right and left indicators on the bracelet remind a nursing mother of which breast to use when initiating a feeding session. The flippable nature of the bracelet allows the nursing mother to keep track of this information on a single wrist. The flippable nursing reminder bracelet also has time indicators that can be read from either side.

The other open end may be gathered to form a smaller opening through which a ponytail or braid may be passed, or closed for warmth or style. In another embodiment of the invention, the tube hat may include a headband/ear warmer and a head-covering portion. The headband/ear warmer may be constructed such that the head-covering portion may be stowed therein when weather conditions warrant the use of ear protection, but not a head covering. If the temperature drops, the head-covering portion may be deployed with the now empty head band remaining useful as an ear protector. Some embodiments of the tube hat may be reversible, showing different patterns or colors for the exposed surfaces.

The garment or ribbon act as toe cleft ventilators and toe separators.

Abstract: Methods for easily manufacturing a foot-covering component of a stocking foot wader including an effective gravel guard, and a foot-covering component including a gravel guard manufactured by such methods are disclosed. Preferably, the gravel guard is connected to the exterior surface of the leg-covering member and below the interior connection between the foot-covering member and the leg-covering member to provide a substantially watertight connection between the foot-covering member and the leg-covering member.

Abstract: Security underwear device for human sexual organs is designed to protectively cover the genital and anal opening against illicit sex, hence sexually transmitted diseases. It is also a protection against rape. The devise is made up of one cover for the genital and another cover for anal opening and they can be worn either separately or in combination. Additional attachments stop the approaching male genital from getting in touch with the female genital. Assembly of both units is worn like a bikini and locked on to a steel belt around the waist. Both major components of the device can open on their own and close as needed. Therefore the wearer can urinate and pass stool without taking off the device. All components of the device are made of materials too hard to cut or break. The padding can be washable or removable for change or disposal. Thus the new device empowers women to be in charge of their daily lives without fear of rape or venereal diseases, especially HIV/virus or AIDS.

Abstract: A helmet is provided herein for protection of the head of a user. A shell, chin bar, breath deflector, and head light are provided. The chin bar is fixed between the right and left sides of the shell. A face shield system is pivotally secured to the shell to pivot up and away from the face of the user leaving only a chin bar running below the mouth of the user in front of the face of the user. The breath deflector moves with the face shield. The light is secured to a center portion of the chin bar and includes a switch integrated with the light.

Abstract: Provided is a goggle comprising a face shield attached to a first subframe and a foam assembly having a foam element and second subframe. The foam assembly is removably attachable to the first subframe such that variously configured foam assemblies are interchangeable with the first subframe and face shield. More particularly, the foam element may define a proximal surface that is sized and configured to fit a wide face, a narrow face, a short face, a long face and/or various combinations thereof. Also, the foam assembly may be sized and configured to be compatible with different helmets. A plurality of these variously configured foam assemblies may be provided with a single first subframe and face shield such that a wearer may select a desired face shield and an appropriate foam assembly in order to accommodate the wearer's uniquely shaped face and/or helmet.

Abstract: The aqua sport shield is used while spear fishing. The shield distributes the force of loading a spear gun over a body area such as a chest area or the thigh area of a person's leg, greater than the butt end of the spear gun. The shield is comprised of a waterproof layer, a force absorbing layer and a force distributing layer. The shield can be a separate unit and attached to the user or can be a releasable or permanent part of a wet suit. Further it can be of various shapes to fit different body shapes as long as it effectively distributes the force of loading the spear gun to prevent body bruising or undue comfort.

Abstract: A child's training step and footrest includes a generally U-shaped step which extends around the front and substantially along the sides of a toilet, the footrest being supported by a sidewall of height substantially less than the height of a toilet seat such that it provides support for a child's feet when seated on the toilet. The U-shaped footrest and sidewall provides a stable platform for a child to stand or sit with feet on the step or footrest, even if standing or sitting toward the side of the toilet. Cutouts in the front of the sidewall receive adult-sized feet so that the step and footrest does not have to be removed when an adult wishes to use the toilet, either standing or sitting. The step or footrest also does not detract from the bathroom appearance when left in place.

The flush valve set includes an anti-reverse valve, an electromagnetic valve, a flexible inlet pipe for connecting with the water supply, and a flexible outlet pipe for draining water to toilet bowl. The flush valve set is movable relative the tank with the fixing board for repairing or replacement.

The holder is placed atop washing machine and dryer that are positioned side-by-side, with the centering wedge positioned within a space between the washing machine and the dryer to prevent the holder from moving or sliding atop the washing machine and dryer. A liquid container placed into the holder for large liquid containers is retained by the perimeter walls, and thus held in place atop the washing machine and dryer.

A flange portion at the proximate extent has a fluid egress for delivery of fluids from a sanitary vessel to the housing lumen. Abstract: An apparatus and method for properly positioning a patient to allow rapid and effective endotracheal intubation during an anesthetic induction is disclosed. The apparatus includes a plurality of inflatable sections for supporting the patient's head and upper back, where the inflatable sections are independently inflatable and deflatable with respect to one another so that the patient's ear and sternum can be aligned in the same horizontal plane. The apparatus also includes an anchoring means that is attached to at least one of the plurality of inflatable sections for anchoring the apparatus in place. An air system connected to the plurality of inflatable sections and including separate connections to the individual inflatable sections operates to provide air to the apparatus. The apparatus optionally includes an independently inflatable cylinder in the anchoring means that is used in pregnant patients.

Abstract: A system and method for maintaining an air inflation mattress configuration sufficient for patient support and comfort. Infrared illumination levels are measured within individual or groups of inflated mattress chambers. A staggered approach to illumination monitoring of chambers or sections to eliminate crosstalk between the infrared sensors is carried out. Distributed microprocessor controllers established in a network configuration utilizing controller network protocols reduces the wiring and connections necessary for the assembled system. Various mattress cushion construction techniques, such as sewing and or RF welding methods, are used for the creation of individual chambers utilizing specific types of IR translucent, transparent or reflective materials. The construction of the cushions and bladders in the system includes the use of various types of fabrics with low to high air loss qualities as required.

The weight of laundry received in the drum is accurately detected in steps, and therefore, water consumption is reduced, and a uniform washing operation is performed.
