Abstract: A mount assembly releasable mounts a toilet seat and cover to a toilet base. The assembly includes two fasteners permanently affixed to the toilet base engaged by deflectable arms of one or two base members of the mount assembly. The arms engage ring mounts disposed about the fasteners, flexing outward slightly during mounting and dismounting achieved by a simple horizontal sliding motion. When connected, hinged covers snap onto the pair of arms to cover the fasteners and prevent deflection of the arms and thus separation of the base member(s) from the fasteners.

Abstract: A cartridge has lower and upper plates, vertically oriented front, rear and side plates and a rotatable cylindrical core supported adjacent to its ends between the side plates. A roll of paper constitutes covers attached to the core. A free end extends through the opening and terminates at a forward end of a seat. The paper is comprised of consecutive lengths separated by transverse perforations with a tab centrally located and forwardly extending. Each length has a lower surface with an adhesive.

Abstract: A filtering apparatus of a circulating flush toilet recycling drain water having used for washing the inside a toilet bowl is disposed between a water-receiving tank and a water-pumping tank of the flush toilet so as to solve problems such as clogging of a pipe and a pump failure. The filtering apparatus includes a casing, a toothed gate formed in a part of the casing, close to the water-receiving tank, and a filtering unit which filters water overflown from the water-receiving tank and passing through the gate, in multiple stages, and which causes the filtered drain water to flow into the water-pumping tank.

Abstract: A hollow, open-ended closure for the tank valve which enables a large cross-section area of discharge port to be used, and which can pass bowl-refill water during the flushing sequence. It is especially useful as part of a valve in which it can be tilted to open the tank valve with reduced physical effort.

Abstract: A control mechanism for preventing overflow of a toilet including a bowl, a water tank, and a filler float operatively communicating with a filler valve includes a knob or handle that can be manipulated to cause the filler float to occupy a position that shuts off the filler valve. The control mechanism includes a filler float guide member having a low guide section separated from a high guide section by a ramped section. By manipulating the knob or handle of the control mechanism, the filler float is forced up the ramp section to the high guide section, shutting off the filler valve.

Abstract: A control device for a sanitary device for a toilet assembly which reduces the size of a control case and increases the damp-proof characteristics of an electrically conductive member by restricting the invasion of water, urine, and moisture content. The control device includes a shower portion for washing the anus or genitals of an individual that includes a control case made of resin and having an accommodation chamber therein. The control device includes mounted devices having an electric part and an electronic part accommodated in the accommodation chamber of the control case, and an electrically conductive member made of electrically conductive material and embedded in a wall portion of the control case and having a first end portion electrically connected to a part of the mounted devices and a second end portion electrically connected to another part of the mounted devices in the accommodation chamber.

Abstract: A device for producing a jet of water has a portable handheld water reservoir to be filled with warm or cold water manually by the user, a battery powered handheld air or water pump to create water pressure for the generation of water jet which is delivered through a handheld nozzle system, a thin flexible disposable nozzle protector for sanitary protection of the non-disposable nozzle and nozzle tip, and an optional new medicine dispenser on the nozzle system.

Abstract: A toilet seat (10) having a cleansing facility with an pivotable arm (18) supplied with warm water for cleaning and warm air for drying the anal and genital areas of a user. The arm (18) being automatically controlled to operate along a path substantially parallel with the central fore and aft axis of the toilet seat (10) between a stored position and an active position. The water is supplied though a duct (36) which has a relatively small cross-sectional area and the air is supplied through a duct (44) having a relatively large cross-sectional area so as to provide respectively differing volumes of fluid to the user. The water duct (36) and air duct (44) are substantially parallel and both terminate in upward disposition to direct the water and air upwardly onto the user at a close range for efficient cleaning and drying, respectively.

Abstract: This invention encompasses an automated mechanism to remove a heavy and bulky insulating cover from an above-floor hot tub (or spa), and to provide a storage location for the cover when the tub is in use. The cover lifter can be fully automatic or semi automatic, and can be operated either electrically, or by fluid or air under pressure.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the invention relate to a seat mounted on wheels for rolling along wheel tracks of parallel longitudinal members of a frame having end members connecting the longitudinal members. The frame may be placed on an upper surface of a bath enclosure such as a bathtub or shower unit and turnbuckles in the longitudinal members may be used to friction fit the longitudinal members to vertical surfaces at the end of the bathtub or shower unit. Moreover, the seat may have a bottom portion hingedly attached to a seat back portion so that the seat can be stowed at one end of the bath enclosure by folding the bottom portion towards the back portion.

Abstract: A bathtub liquid dispensing system for dispensing a mixture of water and a household liquid, such as soap, shampoo and bath oil through an outlet such as a faucet of a bathtub. The bathtub liquid dispensing system comprises a bathtub having an outlet, a storage unit for storing at least one household liquid operatively connected to a bathtub water supply, and a control for connecting and disconnecting the storage unit from the bathtub water supply. In a first aspect of the invention the liquid is introduced into the bathtub water system by a venturi. In a second aspect of the invention, the storage unit is positioned above the bathtub and is introduced by gravity. The control is normally biased to an “off” position.

Abstract: A liquid delivery system for a sink comprises a basin having a plurality of perforations located therein in an irregular pattern, and a faucet assembly in fluid communication with said a source of liquid and with said perforations. Upon selective activation of said faucet assembly, the liquid is introduced into the interior of the basin from all sides in a plurality of independent streams that converge toward and intersect with one another in the air above the basin to form a pleasing, dome-shaped display.

Abstract: A waste trap 10 for use in plumbing installations is provided, the trap comprising a unitary metal body 12 defining an interior volume, and having a tubular plastics insert 20 located in an inlet 14 of the body 12 and extending into the volume to below the height of a waste outlet 16. The insert 20 partitions the upper portion of the volume into two regions, and serves to provide a water seal between the inlet 14 and the outlet 16 when the trap is in use. The insert is non-removably secured to the body.

The collet threads onto the end of at least one corresponding rail of the second portion. A spring loaded pin prevents the collet from unthreading until the pin is manually depressed.

The pillow top layer is positioned adjacent to the elastic core and includes a plurality of strips. Any number of strips can form the pillow top layer. The strips can all have the same density or the density can vary among the strips to provide comfort zones. The pillow top layer can be connected to the elastic core in a variety of ways, such as through the use of a common cover or separate covers joined together.

Abstract: An overload coupling is provided for the limited transfer of torque in a floor cleaning device. A drive element and a driven element are arranged concentrically to one another, thereby forming an intermediate space. The intermediate space accommodates at least one coupling element which transfers torque and can be moved from the intermediate space into an alternative space contrary to the action of an elastic restoring force when an overload occurs. The overload coupling has an overload element which is spring-loaded in the direction of rotation of the coupling element and releases the alternative space for the coupling element when an overload occurs.

Abstract: A locking device for an extension pipe of a vacuum cleaner is provided that has a holder having first and second connection parts formed at both ends, and a locking hole in correspondence to a fixing hole formed in the extension pipe. The first and the second connection parts are connected to the operation handle and the extension pipe, respectively, and the locking hole is formed at a side of the second connection part. A cap is connected to an outer surface of the second connection part of the holder, and has an elastic locking member integrally formed therein and elastically biased toward the locking direction.

Abstract: This invention relates to a two-piece grommet adapted for holding a cable in an aperture, such as in a desk or work surface so as to absorb any strain imposed on the cable and to provide an attractive covering for the hole drilled to pass the cable. The grommet consists of two portions. The first portion comprises a cylindrical sleeve having a circular lip. The second portion comprises a cap having an extended flange and adapted to frictionally fit into the cylindrical sleeve and against the lip. The cap has an aperture cut into it through which the cable passes. A pivotal tab is connected under the cap to close the aperture when no cable passes therethrough.

Abstract: A multipurpose hinge apparatus having an automatic return function is provided in which the apparatus is installed between the door and a main body. The apparatus includes a driving mechanism for ascending and descending a piston rod according to opening and closing of the door which is installed in the upper portion of a cylindrical housing. A piston is connected with the piston rod, in which a one-direction check valve is installed in the piston. The piston partitions an upper chamber and a lower chamber and ascends and descends in association with the piston rod. A first oil path communicates with the upper and lower chambers via the lower portion of the piston rod in the central portion of the piston. A compression spring which makes the piston ascend is inserted into the lower chamber. Oil is filled in the chamber.

Abstract: A closure mechanism for hinged devices having an upper member and a lower member. The closure mechanism includes a track disposed on the upper member and at least one support arm pivotally attached to the lower member. A biasing element is adapted to urge the support arm to engage the upper member and urge it to pivot to an open configuration. The arm includes a contact element that engages the track such that an upper end of the arm moves along the track as the upper member pivots to an open position. The arm includes a hook that engages a positive stop to prevent over-rotation of the arm. In other embodiments of the closure mechanism, the arm is pivotally attached to the upper member and moves against the lower member, and the biasing element extends between the arm and either the upper member or the lower member.

The sections are preferably cylindrical and the edges generally elliptical. A drive moves the central section linearly between the upper and lower sections. As the central and upper sections engage, the central section will rotate in one direction. As the central section engages the lower section, the central section will rotate in the opposite direction. A gate is preferably attached to the central section. By linearly moving the central section, the gate is lifted and turned. The preferred configuration allows the hinge to open a gate inward or outward in both a left hand mount and a right hand mount.

One end of the torsion-bar spring is secured onto the fastener, and the other end of the torsion-bar spring is received in the slot. A user presses the key to slidably remove the slider from the stepped hole of the can, whereupon the torsion-bar spring can rotationally drive the slider and the fastener, with the outer housing turning in unison therewith. Thus the cover is opened.

Abstract: A uniquely designed device for retaining a trouser on a wearer includes a base plate having inner and outer pairs of geared channels extending from one side to the other. A belt loop clasp extends from each side of the base plate. Each clasp includes a hook portion with a pair of arms extending therefrom each of which is slidably received within a designated channel. Each arm includes teeth thereon for interlocking with the geared surface within its corresponding channel. Each of the hooks are secured about a trouser belt loop and the arms are pressed into the base plate until the trouser waist band is sufficiently tight.

Abstract: A buckle device includes a buckle body that includes a bottom plate and a pair of side walls with a tongue plate being inserted and retained between the side walls, and a release button that includes an operation portion that is push-operated along the insertion direction to release the retention of the tongue plate. Elongated holes along the insertion direction of the tongue plate are formed in the pair of side walls of the buckle body. The release button also includes a pair of arm portions that extend in the insertion direction from both width-direction ends of the operation portion, a pair of extension portions that have a predetermined elasticity and extend from width-direction ends of the pair of arm portions toward the bottom plate, and pawl portions that protrude from ends of the pair of extension portions toward the side walls and movably fit into the elongated holes.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for stuffer box crimping a multifilament yarn, wherein the yarn being processed is pneumatically advanced by means of a conveying fluid into a stuffer box chamber and compacted to a yarn plug, with the conveying fluid leaving the stuffer box chamber through openings and being removed by suction. To be able to influence the yarn plug formation mainly by the suction stream, the invention provides for constructing the source of vacuum as an injector, which connects to a source of pressure via a pressure connection and to a suction line via a suction connection that precedes in the direction of the flow. As a result, the suction stream of the conveying fluid is generated by a compressed air stream, with the compressed air stream and the suction stream being jointly discharged as a common airflow.

Abstract: A C-axis driving device of a computer numerical controlled (CNC) lathing and milling machine includes a spindle, an encoder, a spindle motor, and a servo motor. The spindle has a clamping device and a transmission portion. This encoder connects with the transmission portion via an auxiliary timing belt. The spindle motor and the servo motor connect with the transmission portion via at least one driving timing belt. Only at most one of the spindle motor and the servo motor is to drive this transmission portion at any time during operation. So, it has a simple structure to achieve the clutching change function. It can save more space. And, it can significantly reduce the manufacturing cost.

Abstract: An improvement for a cartridge case trimmer which indexes on the shoulder of the case as established by the resizing die and permits a rotating cutter assembly to trim the neck of cases from the inside at a controllable angle. The cutter assembly includes a notched cutter with a cutting edge for length, a cutting edge for inside chamber, and a notched support plate with a guide which also serves as an outside deburring edge. The rotating cutter assembly has a flywheel mounted to it so as to stabilize the cutter while rotating to reduce the tendency to wobble. Set screws fit within the notches of the notched cutter and notched support plate to both hold them in place and to adjust them independently for the desired shape of the trimmed cartridge case neck.

Abstract: An axial swaging tool including a housing defining a chamber, a piston rod held statically in the chamber, a piston conformingly receiving and slidable along the piston rod, a ram conformingly receiving and slidable on a first end of the piston rod, a first engagement member statically positioned on the housing, a second engagement member positioned on the piston, and a spring adjoining the piston and an end of the piston rod. The spring is configured to bias the piston away from a second end of the piston rod, such that the second engagement member is biased away from the first engagement member, the piston rod is biased against a first end of the housing, and piston is biased against the ram, which in turn is biased against a second end of the housing.

Abstract: A connecting rod cap separator system comprising a housing having a pair generally side components each with an inside face and an outside faces adapted to fit inside the circular aperture of a connecting rod; a pair of support screws; an activation shaft with a threading and a crank lever; and a pair displacing wedges each having a pair of sloped faces and apertures extending there through. The apertures are adapted to receive the activation shaft such that when the activation shaft is rotated by the crank lever in one direction, threading of a displacing wedge draw the wedges closer together thereby displacing the side components of the housing outwardly to an expanded state, and when the activation shaft is rotated by the crank lever in the opposite direction, threading of a displacing wedge expands the wedges away from each other thereby contracting the side components of the housing inwardly to the contracted state.

Abstract: A hand ratchet quick release brake pad spreader tool that is a hand tool for spreading a disc brake pad connected to a piston in a caliper housing, thereby compressing the piston into the caliper housing. The hand tool consists of a shaft having a ram affixed onto a front end that slidably extends through a central aperture in a frame member and a central through bore in a backing plate that is mounted to a forward end of the frame member. A trigger handle is pivotally affixed to the frame member adjacent to a depending fixed handle on the frame member. A mechanism is for moving the shaft forwards when the trigger handle is squeezed towards the fixed handle by a hand of a person. A mechanism is for holding the shaft stationary thereby preventing the shaft from moving backwards when the trigger handle is released.

Abstract: The method includes the steps of determining a number of gear teeth for each gear and pinion that, in combination, would produce desired gear ratios. Current gearset parameters including distances and angles relating the positions of the gears and pinions are determined. For a predetermined angular rotation of a selected gear or pinion, and using the current gearset parameters, an error is determined representing a difference in phases of a tooth on the selected gear or pinion into its mesh cycle. A first phase is determined along a first portion of a drive path of meshing gears and pinions, and a second phase is determined along a second portion of the drive path distinct from the first portion. One or more of the current gearset parameters are repetitively changed to determine a set of correspond optimal gearset parameters, for which the error is equal to or less than an acceptable error. Then a gearset having the optimal gearset parameters is produced.

Abstract: A surgical blade package facilitates the mounting of a surgical blade on to the forwardly-projecting cleat on a scalpel handle; and following use in the O.R., the surgical blade package facilitates stripping the used blade off the scalpel for disposal in a sharps container. The cleat is inserted beneath the rear end portion of the blade, and between the blade and the bottom wall of the blade package; and forward and upward movement of the scalpel snaps the blade on to the scalpel in a continuous movement. The opposite procedure is used to demount the used blade from the scalpel and encase it in the original blade package for disposal in a sharps container.

Abstract: A modular synthetic grass playing surface system formed from a plurality of modular units. Each modular unit has a synthetic grass layer placed upon predetermined sized pallets having a pre-installed elastomeric layer. A layer of resilient particle infill is optionally introduced to the top surface of the modular unit. A corrugated plastic sleeve is optionally installed around each formed modular unit while the modular unit is stored and moved. A plurality of modular units are then installed onto a relatively flat surface to form the playing surface in a desired shape and size.

Abstract: A continuous manufacturing system for composite aluminum panels comprises a continuous expanding device for expanding a raw material of a core and a main body of a continuous manufacturing system of composite aluminum panels. The continuous expanding device consists of a cramp for holding raw material, a raw material supplier, a number of sliding rods for sliding raw material and the core, a subsidiary cramp that reciprocates from side to side and ascends and descends on racks, a cramp for expanding a raw material and a roller running idle transferring to the main body. The main body consists of a supplying part for providing top and bottom aluminum plates, a supplying part for providing adhering materials, a combination part comprising the upper and lower rollers and a hot pressing part comprising rollers for hot pressing and supporting are provided.
