Abstract: Ipomoea batatas ‘Sweet Caroline Red’ has very distinct coloration; new shoots are yellow-green in color and transition to a dark burgundy-red color when mature. The stems and petioles of the mature plant are also dark burgundy-red in color. The leaves are large, palmately lobed and veined. ‘Sweet Caroline Red’ has a moderately compact growth habit and is a low, mounding-to-trailing plant with an overall oval shape that is suitable for use as a ground cover or in containerized landscape settings. The plant also has excellent vigor.

This new strawberry variety ‘P-4634’ is primarily adapted to the growing conditions of the central coast of California, and is primarily characterized by its large plant size, strong vigor rate, large foliage with medium to strong blistering and gloss, highly productive with fruit harvest beginning as early as late March in Salinas, Calif., producing upwards of 15% to 20% of its production by the end of May, and produced fruit is very large in size, light red in color, conical in shape with very good firmness and gloss.

One or both of the cable drums may be connected to one end of a torsion coil spring and the opposite end of each spring is connected to a hub assembly. Elongated spring winding and protective cover tubes are sleeved over the springs and are connected to the brackets by worm-gear drive winding mechanisms, respectively, for rotating the tubes to effect winding of the torsion coil springs through the hub assemblies but preventing rotation of the tubes during normal operation of the counterbalance system. The cable drums and spring hub assemblies may be supported on an elongated synchronizing shaft or a torque transfer shaft extending between and supported on the wall brackets.

Abstract: A crankcase scavenged two-stroke engine includes a piston reciprocably mounted in a cylinder. The cylinder wall has an exhaust port and a rear transfer port opposed thereto formed in it. The rear transfer port communicates with the interior of the crankcase via a rear transfer passage and is arranged to open before the exhaust port closes, whereby, in use, the cylinder is scavenged. An inlet duct is arranged to supply combustion air to the crankcase and a throttling valve is arranged to throttle the flow of air through the inlet duct. A carburettor is arranged to supply fuel into the inlet duct. The interior of the crankcase is divided into at least two separate crankcase volumes, a rich volume (V1, V2) and a lean volume (V3). Each crankcase volume communicates with the cylinder via a respective hole in the crankcase wall. The cylinder wall also has at least one lateral transfer port formed in it at a position between the rear transfer port and the exhaust port.

Abstract: The Fuel supply system reduces fuel quantity initially supplied and ineffective residual quantity of fuel. A throat in the shape of a passage is provided at a bottom portion of a sub-tank that supplies fuel from the fuel tank to the interior of the sub-tank by a jet pump. The throat has a suction port communicating with the exterior of the sub-tank and a supply port communicating with the interior of the sub-tank. The throat is inclined with respect to a bottom surface of the tank so that the height of the throat increases gradually from the suction port toward the supply port. The sub-tank has a check valve for opening and closing the supply port. This check valve prevents the fuel in the sub-tank from flowing out to the exterior of the sub-tank through the throat and becomes substantially vertical during valve closing.

The hash table address control hashes the address of a packet to initial hash table location values, changes the hash table location values by a fixed jump amount if the address values stored in the initial hash table location do not match the received address, and provides at least an output port number of the port associated with the received address.

Abstract: This invention provides a novel wavelength-separating-routing (WSR) apparatus that uses a diffraction grating to separate a multi-wavelength optical signal by wavelength into multiple spectral channels, which are focused onto an array of corresponding channel micromirrors. The channel micromirrors are individually controllable and continuously pivotable to reflect the spectral channels into selected output ports. As such, the inventive WSR apparatus is capable of routing the spectral channels on a channel-by-channel basis and coupling any spectral channel into any one of the output ports. The WSR apparatus of the invention may further employ a polarization diversity scheme, whereby polarization-sensitive effects become inconsequential and insertion loss is minimized. The WSR apparatus of the invention may additionally be equipped with servo-control and channel equalization capabilities.

Abstract: It has been discovered that all causes of critical dimension variation, both known and unknown, are compensated by adjusting the time of photoresist etch. Accordingly, a control method employs a control system using photoresist etch time as a manipulated variable in either a feedforward or a feedback control configuration to control critical dimension variation during semiconductor fabrication. By controlling critical dimensions through the adjustment of photoresist etch time, many advantages are achieved including a reduced lot-to-lot variation, an increased yield, and increased speed of the fabricated circuits. In one embodiment these advantages are achieved for polysilicon gate critical dimension control in microprocessor circuits. Polysilicon gate linewidth variability is reduced using a control method using either feedforward and feedback or feedback alone. In some embodiments, feedback control is implemented for controlling critical dimensions using photoresist each time as a manipulated variable.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing an execution stack which stores frames for functions written in multiple programming languages are provided. The frames for functions written in different programming languages may be interleaved on the same execution stack. A data block on the execution stack may be utilized to traverse the execution stack around a frame by storing a stack pointer and frame pointer to a previous frame. Additionally, exceptions may be propagated, with conversion if necessary, through frames on the execution stack that are written in different programming languages.

As a leg protector, the protective device includes a knee portion, a first thigh portion, and a second thigh portion. The first thigh portion is positioned adjacent the knee portion and has an elastic member. The second thigh portion is positioned adjacent the first thigh portion and opposite the knee portion. The knee portion, the first thigh portion, and the second thigh portion are secured relative to each other with at least one flexible strap that is attached to the knee portion, attached to the elastic member of the first thigh portion, and attached to the second thigh portion.
