Publication number: 20070068680Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for actuation of downhole tools. In one example, a deep set safety valve uses a magnetic coupling which permits a portion of the safety valve at control line pressure to be isolated from tubing string internal pressure, without requiring the use of a dynamic seal therebetween. A piston of the safety valve may be displaced in response to a differential between control line pressure and pressure in an annulus surrounding the tubing string, pressure in another control line, or pressure in the tubing string. Other types of well tools may benefit from actuation using principles of the invention.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2006Publication date: March 29, 2007Inventor: James Vick

Publication number: 20070068681Abstract: Described herein are methods, devices, and formulations for making and using synthetic hoof shoes, repairing an animal's hooves, and/or providing prophylactic measures for protecting an animal's hooves. In general a synthetic material is applied either in situ to the hoof area of a hoofed animal or is used to produce a pre-molded shoe to be attached to the hoof area of a hoofed animal.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2006Publication date: March 29, 2007Inventor: Casey Kelly

Publication number: 20070068682Abstract: The present is directed to a combination horseshoe and composite hoof pad that dampens the shock of impact and prevents hoof pad distortion when the hoof strikes the ground. The composite hoof pad includes a retainer member fixed to the hoof and bonded to the horseshoe top surface along the toe portion of the hoof, and a cushion member bonded to the remaining horseshoe top surface and coupled to the retainer member so that the retainer member provides a barrier that prevents the cushion member from distorting when the hoof strikes the ground.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2005Publication date: March 29, 2007Applicant: McKinlay Hoof Care L.L.C.Inventor: Ian McKinlay

Publication number: 20070068683Abstract: Manually activated, portable aerosol fire extinguisher includes a casing having discharge ports, an arrangement for generating fire suppression agent which is discharged through the discharge ports, and a manual activation system which enables manual activation of the generating arrangement at a safe location a distance from the fire. The activation system includes a firing pin which causes ignition of igniter material upon contact therewith (resulting in generation of the fire suppression agent), a handle which normally prevents the firing pin from contacting the igniter material and a manually releasable pull pin arranged to maintain the handle in a position preventing the firing pin from contacting the igniter material. Upon release of the pull pin, the handle is urged out of this position with the result that the firing pin contacts the igniter material, thereby causing generation of the fire suppression agent.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 23, 2005Publication date: March 29, 2007Applicant: FIREAWAY LLCInventor: Rudy Pavesi

Publication number: 20070068684Abstract: An onboard fire suppression system for a vehicle has at least one composite reservoir containing a fire suppressant agent. The reservoir includes a pressure vessel formed from fiber-composite material and having at least one double concave section. At least one reinforcement is applied to the pressure vessel in the location of the double concave section. This construction permits the pressure vessel to have a shape conforming with the irregular spaces commonly found in the underbody areas of vehicles.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2006Publication date: March 29, 2007Applicant: FORD GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventor: Joseph Dierker
