  • Patent number: 7207185
Abstract: A vehicle air conditioning apparatus includes a refrigerant circulation circuit. The vehicle air conditioning apparatus has a variable displacement type compressor, a first pressure monitoring point, a second pressure monitoring point and an oil separator in the refrigerant circulation circuit. Also, the vehicle air conditioning apparatus has a control valve in the compressor. The compressor compresses refrigerant gas. Displacement of the compressor is variable. The refrigerant gas includes oil. The second pressure monitoring point is located more downstream than the first pressure monitoring point. The control valve controls the displacement based on differential pressure between the first and second pressure monitoring points. The oil separator is located between the first and second pressure monitoring points in order to separate the oil from the compressed refrigerant gas, thereby the oil separator serves as means for manifesting the differential pressure.

  • Patent number: 7207186
Abstract: A variable displacement compressor driven by an engine, such as an engine for driving an automotive vehicle is used as a compressor, and the capacity of the compressor is controlled by a capacity control valve such that the differential pressure between discharge pressure and suction pressure of refrigerant becomes equal to a predetermined differential pressure determined by an external signal. Pressure substantially equal to pressure applied across the compressor is applied across the ejector, and therefore to control the differential pressure across the compressor is to control the differential pressure across the ejector. A differential pressure valve disposed between a gas-liquid separator and an evaporator is set to a differential pressure approximately proportional to the differential pressure across the ejector.

  • Patent number: 7207213
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for the stabilization of the engine inlet flow in engine static tests. It consists of an arrangement with an air-permeable element (4), which is arranged in an end position situated close to an engine housing (2) and partially enclosing the latter. The air-permeable element is formed with a first air-permeable embodied planar element part (6), that is arranged below the engine housing, which is positioned along a horizontal engine housing axis and parallel to a planar ground (7) in the vertical spacing distance (a), on the surfacial rim side on the longitudinal edges of which, the longitudinal edges being situated along the engine housing axis, there are arranged, laterally downstream of the longitudinal edges, further air-permeable embodied planar element parts (9–12), that are embodied foldable out of a horizontal orientation to the engine housing.

  • Patent number: 7207214
Abstract: A pressure-sensing element for an internal combustion engine is located in the sleeve of a ceramic glow plug heater having axial and radial pressure channels connecting the sensor diaphragm to the combustion chamber. The sensor signal conditioner is encapsulated in an automotive-type connector either directly attached to the glow plug body or located at the end of a cable pigtail containing the sensor fibers and the heater positive potential wire. A high temperature rated fiber optic pressure sensor capable of measuring either dynamic or absolute pressure is used. The absolute pressure sensor relies on three optical fibers combined in a common ferrule in the sensor head area and connected to one light source (LED) and two detectors (photodiodes) in the signal conditioner area. The fibers can either be identical by being spaced unequally in the ferrule or can have different diameters, numerical aperatures, or both, and be spaced equally or unequally.
