  • Patent number: 7210221
Abstract: A base plate and load beam for an HG assembly are formed in series, stacked, and transferred by a transfer system in the form of the stacked-layer series to undergo the necessary assembly processes such as layer joining, slider attachment, and electrical connections between the terminals thereon. When uncompleted HG assemblies are transferred for each of the manufacturing processes, the uncompleted HG assembly is mounted on the assembly jig such as a tray or a block for transference. For this reason, assembling jigs, the number of which is at least equal to the number of the uncompleted HG assemblies remaining at the respective assembly processes would be needed. Accordingly, the efficiency of work space is reduced, and a rise in manufacturing cost is brought about by the need for the assembling jigs.

  • Patent number: 7210222
Abstract: The present invention provides a power supply control method which is executed by the electronic component mounting apparatus. A drive power source and a control power source are separately connected and shut-off in accordance with a command from a control device to each of component feed drive parts for driving component feed devices, a component transfer drive device for driving a component transfer device, and a circuit board positioning drive device for driving a circuit board positioning device. The control device detects an individual occurrence of a halt condition of each of constituent parts of an electronic component mounting apparatus and shuts off a drive power source to the drive device in the halt condition. Thus, wasteful power consumption is eliminated and production is continued with a necessary minimum power.

  • Patent number: 7210224
Abstract: An antifuse including a bottom plate having a plurality of longitudinal members arranged substantially parallel to a first axis, a dielectric layer formed on the bottom plate, and a top plate having a plurality of longitudinal members arranged substantially parallel to a second axis, the top plate formed over the dielectric layer. Multiple edges formed at the interfaces between the top and bottom plates result in regions of localized charge concentration when a programming voltage is applied across the antifuse. As a result, the formation of the antifuse dielectric over the comers of the bottom plates enhance the electric field during programming of the antifuse. Reduced programming voltages can be used in programming the antifuse and the resulting conductive path between the top and bottom plates will likely form along the multiple edges.

  • Patent number: 7210225
Abstract: Methods for setting contact height in an electrical connector are disclosed. Each of a plurality of electrical contacts may be seated in a connector housing such that each contact has a respective initial height relative to the housing. At least one of the contacts is pressed on such that, after the pressing, each of the contacts has approximately the same height relative to the connector housing. The pressing may bend the at least one contact at least until it has set. Before the pressing, the initial contact heights have a first tolerance. After the pressing the pressed contact heights have a second tolerance that is smaller than the first tolerance. The pressing operation bends the contacts to a point that exceeds the yielding limit of the contact material, and may deform the contacts such that the several contacts have about the same contact height relative to the connector housing.

  • Patent number: 7210230
Abstract: A cuticle cutter of the like is described which is of the scissors type. Instruments of this type, especially in beauty salons, require constant cleaning, sharpening and sterilisation. The cutter of the invention facilitates such procedures by permitting the handles (2, 21) to be separate from the blades (1, 1?). In the preferred embodiment the blades are snap fitted into the handles and the arrangement is such that on opening the cutters to a maximum surfaces on the handles enter into abutment with the blades in the region of the pivot (6) and further opening cams the blades away from the handles, releasing them without any necessity for manual contact. The blades can then be submitted to the above mentioned procedures and stored for further use.

  • Patent number: 7210236
Abstract: A method is designed for measuring a magnetic offset of a geomagnetic sensor equipped in a portable information terminal apparatus having a storage. The geomagnetic sensor has a magnetic sensitivity to a geomagnetic field and is affected by magnetization to cause the magnetic offset. In the method, an output of the geomagnetic sensor is measured to successively provide measurement data of the geomagnetic field from the output of the geomagnetic sensor. The measurement data is stored in the storage. The measurement data is read out from the storage when a number of the measurement data stored in the storage reaches a predetermined number, and an offset value of the magnetic offset is estimated based on the predetermined number of the measurement data read out from the storage.

Abstract: An artificial fireplace for simulating flaming logs has a housing containing a solid state light source, a rotating flame simulation assembly, a viewing screen, and a simulated fuel source. The solid state light source preferably comprises light emitting diodes (LEDs) affixed to a printed circuit board. The light produced by the LEDs reflects off of the rotating flame simulation assembly and an image of a flame is transmitted onto the viewing screen. This design creates a realistic, randomly-flickering flame image above the simulated fuel source. Optional features include a dimmer assembly to adjust the intensity of the image and a second light source to simulate smoldering embers within the simulated fuel source. This design eliminates the problems associated with using a light bulb for a light source by instead using LEDs with a longer life span which emit less undesirable heat and consume less electricity.

  • Patent number: 7210257
Abstract: The claimed invention provides a self-actuating lenticular display assembly that places the lenticular image in intimate contact with the lenticular lens while maintaining the lenticular image separate from the lenticular lens to form the lenticular display. The lenticular display assembly further comprises a rigid back plate placed behind the lenticular display so that the lenticular image moves in a parallel plane between the lenticular lens and the rigid back plate, a motor that accomplishes movement of the lenticular image in relation to the lenticular lens, alignment mechanisms that allow the lenticular image to be incrementally adjusted in relation to the lenticular lens, and different means for maintaining intimacy between the lenticular image and the lenticular lens, thus eliminating undesirable “soft spots” that may occur.

  • Patent number: 7210260
Abstract: A firearm cartridge has a case configured with a relatively straight-walled portion and a shoulder portion for housing a quantity of propellant. The case further includes a neck for retaining a bullet. The straight-walled portion defines a base cavity having an interior base diameter. The interior base diameter is approximately twice or more the neck diameter. The diameter ratios of the base and neck optimize combustion efficiency to reduce heat and acceleration losses. The cartridge body cavity is sized and configured to contain a sufficient quantity of propellant such that igniting the propellant causes formation of a propellant plug having a diameter that is approximately the diameter of the bullet, and wherein the propellant plug shears free from unburned propellant that is disposed adjacent the relatively straight-walled body portion.
