    Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide an effective technique for reducing the manufacturing costs of a handle mounted to a power tool. According to the invention, a representative handle may comprise a handle body, a grip, an elastic element and an elastic outer surface member. The grip is hollow-shaped and the handle body is inserted into the grip. The elastic element is disposed between the inner surface of the grip and the outer surface of the handle body to apply a biasing force to the grip upon movement of the grip with respect to the handle body when vibration of the power tool is transmitted from the handle body to the grip. The elastic outer surface member covers the outer surface of the grip. The elastic outer surface member is integrally formed with the elastic element. As a result, the manufacturing costs can be reduced compared with known construction in which the elastic outer surface member and the elastic element are separately formed.

    Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a power tool having a further improved vibration reducing performance. The representative power tool may comprise a tool bit, an actuating mechanism, a dynamic vibration reducer. The actuating mechanism drives the tool bit linearly by means of pressure fluctuations so as to cause the tool bit to perform a predetermined operation. The dynamic vibration reducer has a weight that reciprocates under a biasing force of an elastic element to reduce vibration of the actuating mechanism. The weight may be driven by means of pressure fluctuations caused in the actuating mechanism. According to the invention, the weight of the dynamic vibration reducer can be actively driven by pressure fluctuations in the actuating mechanism for driving the tool bit. Therefore, regardless of the magnitude of vibration acting on the power tool, the dynamic vibration reducer can be forcedly and steadily operated.

    Abstract: A downhole tool comprises a body having slots communicating the outside of the body with the body through-bore. A sleeve actuator and mandrel are selectively axially slidable. Hollow bars are slidable in the slots and they have channels inside corresponding with, and engaged in, the ribs of the flanges. The sleeve actuator slides in the body between a tool actuated position and a tool deactuated position. The mandrel is selectively axially slidable between a tool actuated position, an interlock position and a sleeve-lock position. A lock ball locks the sleeve actuator with respect to the body in the tool deactuated position and while the mandrel is between the interlock and sleeve-lock positions. The lock ball also locks the sleeve actuator with respect to the mandrel while the mandrel is between said interlock and tool actuated positions.
