  • Patent number: 7270560
Abstract: A universal serial bus (USB) locking connector includes a cable, a polymeric body connected to the cable, and a metallic male plug that projects axially from the body. One or more locking prongs extend axially alongside but are spaced from the male plug and are resiliently deflectable toward and away from the male plug. Each locking prong includes a leg having an outer end, and an enlarged tooth defined at the outer end. The enlarged tooth includes an inclined ramp surface and a transverse locking face. When the USB locking connected is mated with a conventional female USB connector, the locking prongs engage a peripheral edge of the female connector and capture the locking connector to the female connector to provide resistance to axial pull-out. In another arrangement, a USB connector locking system includes a female USB connector installed in a housing. A lock ring is movably connected to the housing adjacent the peripheral edge of the female USB connector.

  • Patent number: 7270561
Abstract: A lamp arm fixing device of a junction box for a pendent lamp includes a lamp holder and a connection housing. When the connection housing is completely inserted in the lamp holder, the engaging plate of the lamp holder engages the positioning screw portion at one end of the connection housing whereby the connection housing is secured in the receiving hole of the lamp holder. The connection housing is defined with an open slot. A slide slot extends from an end of the open slot whereby when the connection housing is inserted in the lamp holder, the open slot is inserted in a direction facing the screw of the lamp holder and the screw extends through the open slot and is positioned in the slide slot. Thus, the female connector received in the connection housing is mated with the male connector received in the lamp holder in a proper direction.

  • Patent number: 7270573
Abstract: Complementary contact and contact block designs are disclosed that help prevent movement of a contact received in the contact block when an electrical connector is press-fit or otherwise connected to a printed circuit board. A protrusion may be included on one or both beams of a dual beam contact, and a contact cavity may be formed in the contact block. The protrusion and the contact cavity may include complementary shapes such that the protrusion abuts a wall within the contact cavity, preventing the contact from moving relative to the contact block as the electrical connector is connected to a printed circuit board. The protrusion and a wall of the contact cavity additionally may include other complementary shapes (e.g., a radius or angle shape) such that a length of the protrusion abuts the contact cavity wall, providing a longer load bearing surface.

Abstract: A blasting system for the removal of coatings or paint from an underlying surface uses an optical device to position the blasting nozzle an appropriate stand-off distance from the surface. The blasting media can use a variety of blasting media including abrasives, water, and various specialty blasting media. The preferred optical system is mounted to or integral with the blasting nozzle, and uses a diode laser, a beam splitter and a reflecting mirror to generate a reference beam and a gauge beam. Alternatively, two diode lasers can be used to generate the reference beam and gauge beam respectively. The reference beam propagates in a fixed forward direction, but the direction of the gauge beam is adjustable. The user adjusts the orientation of the gauge beam so that the image of the beam on the surface aligns with the image of the reference beam on the surface when the blasting nozzle is positioned at the appropriate stand-off distance from the surface.

Abstract: A primary or secondary game for a gaming device. In one embodiment, the player is provided up to three picks, i.e., picks three contestants. The first two contestants both form potential award offers. The game then provides the greater of the two potential award offers to the player as an initial offer. This initial sequence alternatives includes more than two picks, contestants and potential offers. The offer acceptance feature arises after the initial offer. The player must decide whether to keep the initial offer or forego that offer for a final offer. If the player keeps the offer the game provides that initial offer to the player and ends if the player rejects that initial offer, the game proceeds to build a third and final offer, which is then provided to the player automatically.

Abstract: A power transmission device prevents vibration in a rotation direction and collision noise, even if a shock absorbing rubber is permanently deformed in a compression direction. Specifically, even if compression forces repeatedly applied to a shock absorbing rubber causes the shock absorbing rubber to be permanently deformed in a compression direction, an elastic member placed between the shock absorbing rubber and each protrusion presses circumferentially the shock absorbing rubber of a pulley and a transmission ring, and therefore, a shock of an abrupt rotation number change caused by rattling between the shock absorbing rubber and the transmission ring may be absorbed by the elastic member, and vibration in a rotation direction and collision noise may be prevented.
