  • Patent number: 7281863
Abstract: An improved disconnect structure for SFP optical transceiver modules uses a slide 21 that travels relative to the module housing over a limited range. The slide 21 has operating pieces 28 which are elastically displaceable to elastically displace a spring plate 18 of the cage in a direction to release the locked state. The slide initially moves relative to the module housing to deflect the spring plate downwardly and release the locked state. When the slide then reaches the end of its range of motion relative to the module housing, further withdrawal of the slide pulls the module housing along with it, removing the module form the cage.

Abstract: An airfoil for a gas turbine engine includes a root, a tip, a leading edge, a trailing edge, and opposed pressure and suction sidewalls extending generally along a radial axis. The airfoil includes a tip cap extending between the pressure and suction sidewalls; and spaced-apart suction-side and pressure-side tip walls extending radially outward from the tip cap to define a tip cavity therebetween. The pressure-side tip wall includes a continuously concave curved arcuate portion, at least a section of which extends circumferentially outward from a radial axis of the airfoil. At least a portion of the pressure-side tip wall is recessed from the pressure sidewall to define an outwardly facing tip shelf, such that the pressure-side tip wall and the tip shelf define a trough therebetween.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a blowing apparatus for refrigerators. The blowing apparatus includes a centrifugal fan. The centrifugal fan comprises a hub plate connected to a shaft of the motor, a plurality of blades attached to the hub plate in the radial direction of the hub plate for forcing cool air to flow, and a ring-shaped shroud connected to ends of the blades. The ratio of the inner diameter of the centrifugal fan, formed through connection of the inner ends of the blades, to the outer diameter of the centrifugal fan, formed through connection of the outer ends of the blades, is 0.63±0.01. With the blowing apparatus for refrigerators according to the present invention, flow loss is minimized. Consequently, the present invention has the effect that energy consumption is reduced, noise is decreased, and thus the refrigerator is quietly operated.

Abstract: Easy to attach and detach blades for overhead ceiling fans. A first version has a ceiling fan blade with keyhole slots that fit over flat topped fasteners on a mounting arm. Pulling the blade away from the arm locks the slots to the fasteners. A second version is similar to the first and has a decorative bottom cover having snappable tapered protrusions which attach through the keyholes and into mateable through-holes in the mounting arm connection. The third version has a protruding end portion of the blade that fits into a slot in the mounting arm where spring loaded pistons press into grooves in the protrusion end portion of the blade. Latching handles allow users to manually move the pistons. A fourth version has a slot in the blade which fits about a mateable housing in the mounting arm where opposing spring loaded pistons press into interior wall grooves in the slot of the blade.

Abstract: The filter housing has a filter outlet portion with a central filter outlet passage. The outlet portion includes a terminal end portion defining a filter nozzle. The filter nozzle forms a nozzle passage between the filter nozzle and the pump housing. The nozzle passage communicates with an annular recess formed in the filter outlet portion. The annular recess receives return bypassed hydraulic fluid from a regulator valve for distribution into an inlet stream of fluid flowing through the filter outlet passage. The inlet stream velocity is increased which increases the pressure at the pump inlet. The increased pressure at the pump inlet allows the pump to operate at higher speeds without cavitation.

Abstract: In a piston type compressor, a housing includes a cylinder head which defines a discharge chamber and a cooling chamber. The cooling chamber located adjacent to the discharge chamber surrounds the discharge chamber. The housing also defines a suction chamber, a compression chamber, and a crank chamber. The cooling chamber is isolated from the suction chamber. Gas is introduced from outside of the housing into the suction chamber. A rotary shaft is rotatably supported in the housing. The cam is accommodated in the crank chamber. A piston is operatively coupled to the rotary shaft through the cam. Rotation of the rotary shaft is converted to reciprocation of the piston. A seal member shuts communication between the cooling chamber and an atmosphere outside the compressor to seal an inside of the cylinder head. An introducing passage interconnects the cooling chamber and the crank chamber.
