Abstract: A tablet package conveying apparatus for a tablet automatic packing machine is disclosed. The apparatus can offset a speed difference among conveyed tablet packages while they are conveyed, such that the conveyed tablet packages discharged from the lower side of the tablet automatic packing machine can be more smoothly conveyed to the side wall of the tablet automatic packing machine.

Abstract: A tapered spline conveyor roller, and a curved conveyor roller assembly using a plurality of the tapered spline rollers. The tapered spline roller has a cylindrical barrel and an inner and an outer drive portion that is formed of a plurality of parallel, radially-disposed, tapered splines about the circumference of the barrel portion. The splines can be tapered inwardly at a taper angle toward the center of the roller, along the length of the spline, from the first end toward the second end of the roller. A belt connects and engages the tapered splines of the drive portions of adjacent rollers, for rotationally coupling the rollers. The connecting belt typically has an inner surface having spaced-apart ribs for engaging the slots disposed between the tapered splines. The tapered splines of the two drive portions of adjacent rollers is provided with a taper angle that is one-half of the angle that is formed between the centerlines of the adjacent rollers.

Abstract: A system for transporting small components, generally electrical components, arranged in a row comprising an arbitrary number of chain links. The components are accommodated within a cavity present in the chain links. The cavity is defined by at least two walls, at least one of which must be rigid, while the wall located opposite thereof is a resilient wall.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of vacuum packaging and vacuum packaging techniques. Embodiments of the present invention include bales and packages comprising a sealed chamber having an internal volume at a pressure less than ambient atmospheric pressure. In alternate embodiments of the present invention, the internal volume of the package comprises a bulk material, a bulk fiber material, fibers or fibrous materials. Also disclosed are methods for packaging, packaging systems and apparatus for packaging.

Abstract: An absorbent mat includes top and bottom layers of thermoplastic material with absorbent media disposed therebetween. The top and bottom layers are bonded directly together, or to the absorbent media disposed therebetween, in spaced-apart bond sites. One or more perforations are formed as a result of bonding in the top and/or bottom layers in a peripheral portion of each bond. Each perforation is in communication with the absorbent media and provides a pathway through which liquid can pass. The top and bottom layers may be monolithic thermoplastic film with an aperture formed therethrough at each respective bond by stretching the multi-layer absorbent mat. One or more perforations are formed in the peripheral portion of each bond site thereof as a result of stretching. Each perforation is in communication with the absorbent media and provides a pathway through which liquid can pass into the absorbent media.

Abstract: A polymeric film, multiple-compartment, pouch having an internal frangible seal for confining a fluid and related beverage container with a re-closable fitment for storing and delivering two different flavored liquids or the like. The frangible seal of the clear plastic pouch will burst when sustained squeezed thus allowing the flavors to swirl and mix within the pouch.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a packaging and display system for a wristwatch. The system includes a support panel, a wristwatch and an accessory, the accessory being capable of augmenting the appearance and enjoyment of the watch. The support panel has a front surface that defines several display locations. A first display location releasably supports a wristwatch in a manner such that a wristband associated with the wristwatch is maintained in a supine position. A second display location releasably supports an accessory, the accessory being adapted and configured to be releasably mounted on a wristband. The front surface also defines indicia for aligning the wristwatch to the first display location and for aligning the accessory to the second display location.

Abstract: A golf bag having an integrated seating platform is provided. The golf bag comprises a generally tubular body for housing a plurality of golf clubs; a generally solid and flat platform sized and configured to support a seated golfer; a coupler that interconnects the tubular body to the platform; and at least one leg that extends from the platform to a ground support surface.

Abstract: A toothbrush covering and method includes a toothbrush holder attached to and extending outwardly from a vertical surface. At least one toothbrush is removably held in the toothbrush holder so that a head of the toothbrush extends above the toothbrush holder. A housing has a front wall, a back wall, a first side wall and a second side wall. The housing has a door portion that is separable from the housing. A hinge hingedly couples the door portion to the housing. An adhesive is attached to an outer surface of the back wall. The back wall is attached to the vertical surface and above the toothbrush holder so that the toothbrush holder is positioned in the housing and the head is positioned between the toothbrush holder and the top wall. The door is closed for covering the head or opened for removing the toothbrush.

Abstract: A toolbox has a body, a top holder, a bottom holder, a first cap and a second cap. The top holder and the bottom holder are mounted in the body. The first cap and the second cap are pivotally attached to the body, engage each other to open and close together and cover the top holder, so that the toolbox opens easily. Further, the caps are made of a transparent material and allow the tools in the toolbox to be seen easily.

Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus and method for protecting an optical fiber cable stored on a fiber cable reel. A wrapping member is placed around the circumference of the fiber cable in the reel. The wrapping member includes insulating members that may be bonded to the wrapping member or installed in pockets of the wrapping member. The insulating members may be ceramic blocks.

Abstract: A device for holding a string-like member, such as a holiday decorative string light, includes a housing with an inside member for winding the string-like member thereabout, and multiple hangers extending outwardly from the housing. A string light, such as a rope light may be wound about the inside member of the housing, and an icicle light string or a net light can be supported from the hangers by winding externally about the housing.

Abstract: A shock-absorbing package structure comprising a frame and a shock-absorbing rib is provided. The frame forms an inner space to accommodate a component. The shock-absorbing rib extending from the frame toward the inner space has two cuts for folding the shock-absorbing rib to adjust the dimension of the inner space according to the shape of the component.

Abstract: A finger operable container is provided for use with cream, paste or cake-like products, such as cosmetics. The container comprises an assembly including a housing and at least one cooperating slide member received by the housing. At least one receptacle is provided in the assembly for receiving the product, and a pair of finger openings is formed in the assembly through which two fingers of the same hand can be inserted. The finger openings are configured and arranged to allow the finger movements of a single hand to move the assembly between a closed storage position in which the receptacle is covered and an open position in which the receptacle is exposed to permit application of the product.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating fine particulate matter from debris and bulk material is presented which includes a frame, a screen connected to the frame that is adjustable in height relative to the frame at one of its ends, a removable trough positioned near the back end of the frame, and a motor for vibrating the frame to assist in separation of materials.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a composite porous membrane, which has not only excellent filtration capacity, but also excellent adhesion between a porous membrane and a braid and mechanical properties, and a method for producing the composite porous membrane. The present invention relates to a composite porous membrane comprising a braid, and a membrane material; wherein the membrane material comprises a first porous layer comprising a dense layer which is arranged on the outer surface of the braid, and a second porous layer comprising a dense layer which is arranged on the first porous layer, and a method for producing the composite porous membrane.

Abstract: A shelf device for mounting on an inside surface of a cooler door comprises a bottom panel and left and right mounting flanges connected to the bottom panel along left and right side edge portions thereof. Each flange has a pair of openings therein vertically spaced from one another and adapted to mount and support the shelf device. A partition panel is connected to the bottom panel and divides the bottom panel into a plurality of compartments. Vertically extending ribs are attached to the partition panel at junctions of adjacent compartments. A display panel insert is received by slots in the ribs and recesses in the mounting flanges.

Abstract: A panel for use in a plurality for a slat wall comprises a panel body with inner and outer surfaces, and upper and lower edges. A vertical link at the rear of the upper edge has an inner surface coplanar with the body inner surface; a fastener receiving member connected across the vertical link has an upwardly extending tongue and downwardly extending leg, having vertically coplanar outer surfaces and defining a first groove to receive fasteners to secure the panels to the wall. A cover extending from the body outer surface has a free end with an inward projection, the cover and a rear protrusion of the body lower edge together defining a second groove. When installed, the second grooves receive tongues of adjacent panels; the covers extend over the first grooves of adjacent panels; and the inward projections engage with outer surfaces of legs of adjacent panels.

Abstract: A closure device includes a top wall, a skirt depending from the top wall, and a plurality of pads arranged circumferentially on the top wall, the pads extending into a space formed by the top wall and the skirt, the spaced pads configured to vent gas between adjacent pairs of pads during molding of a liner material against the top wall. A method of forming a liner in a closure device includes applying a moldable material to a top wall of the closure device, engaging a face of a punch of a liner-molding device with pads arranged on the top wall, the pads extending into a space formed by the top wall and a skirt depending from the top wall, compressing the moldable material by the punch against the top wall to form the liner, and venting gas between adjacent pairs of pads during the compressing step.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a dry consumable with a liquid in the same assembly. The assembly includes a fluid container that is covered with a cap assembly. The cap assembly can be manually opened and closed, thereby selectively controlling the flow of fluid out of the fluid container. Consumable material is formed into a solid form on the exterior of the cap assembly. The material can include pharmaceutical compounds, nutraceutical compounds or can be inert compounds, such as confections. The material is formed into a solid that can be bitten or licked away from the cap assembly as the cap assembly is placed in the mouth. Once the material is received into the mouth, liquid can be drunk through the cap assembly to help wash the material down the throat.

Abstract: A container has a hinging panel compressing a gasket against a door frame, preferably as an intermodal waste container. A spring biased catch is engaged by forcing the door panel beyond a certain point approaching its sealed position, for example by slamming the door. A lever-operated cam closure can then be engaged to fully compress the seal as the door panel is pulled to its sealed position. A clamping structure along a bottom edge of the door panel is adjustable to obtain an intermediate span of adjustment that is variable, along the bottom edge. A sill rod has fingers to grasp tabs on the bottom edge of the door. The pressure exerted at each tab is variable using a bolt adjustment. The individual adjustment can correct for wear or generally correct the tendency of the door panel to become bowed outwardly, thus reducing the incidence of leaks.

Abstract: A filter housing having radial sealing means is disclosed herein. Push-button actuated clamps can be used to attach the head to the sump for easy opening and closing the filter housing when replacing the filter cartridge. The filter housing of the present invention provides simplified filter cartridge changes to minimize process downtime and without recourse to tools.

Abstract: A spill-proof container is constructed of a bowl with an access opening for holding particulate material that is freely rotatable within the chamber of a bowl support having an access opening. The access openings of the bowl and support are aligned when the bowl and support are both in their upright orientation. When the support is tipped, the bowl, which is heavier at its bottom, remains upright. As a result, the chamber access opening rotates out of alignment with the bowl access opening, which is then covered with a part of the chamber wall.

Abstract: A portable drinking container is provided. The drinking container comprises a drinking vessel, a separate skirt around the drinking vessel and a foam material located in a second cavity between the skirt and the drinking vessel. The drinking vessel has a sidewall defining a drinking cavity with an opening at a proximal end of the drinking vessel. The skirt is provided around a distal end portion of the drinking vessel. Generally, the drinking vessel is made of a first material and the skirt is made of a second material distinct from the first material, and in one embodiment the drinking vessel is made of a ceramic material and the skirt is made of stainless steel. Additionally, a removable fastener may be provided to connect the skirt to the drinking vessel.

Abstract: According to one aspect of the invention, a dispense head for a wafer processing apparatus is provided. The dispense head may include an inlet, at least one outlet, a drain, and a passageway therethrough interconnecting the inlet, the outlet, and the drain. The inlet may be at a first height above a bottom of the passageway, the outlet may be a second height above the bottom of the passageway, and the drain may be a third height above the bottom of the passageway. A first valve may be connected to the inlet, and a second valve may be connected to the drain. When the first valve is opened and the second valve is closed, fluid flows into the inlet and out of the outlet. When the second valve is opened and the first valve is closed, fluid from the passageway flows out of the drain. A pump may be connected to the drain.

Abstract: A dosing device includes a body and an actuating element mounted in non-rotatable, liftable manner on the body. A counting device for the actuating strokes has a rotary counting ring forcibly coupled as a function of a lifting movement of the actuating element. A lock blocks the actuating element following a predetermined number of actuating strokes. The lock is associated with the counting ring in such a way that the latter can perform more than a complete revolution before the actuating element is blocked.

Abstract: A dispenser for a bottle that is adapted to contain a consumable beverage. The dispenser includes a dispenser body defining a chamber therein. The chamber is adapted to hold a flavoring component. The dispenser body has a first dispenser end, suitable for drinking therefrom, and has a second dispenser end, adapted to be positioned within the bottle when the dispenser is engaged with the bottle. The plunger is slidably disposed at least partially within the dispenser body for movement from a first plunger position to a second plunger position, in which the plunger penetrates a portion of the dispenser body to create a passageway. When the plunger is in the second plunger position and a cap is in a first cap position, the plunger end cooperates with the cap to seal the cap opening.

A spout insert is configured to fit inside the neck. A handle is coupled to the container. A cover is configured to close the aperture. In another embodiment the handle and cover are integrally formed as a single piece. Another embodiment provides the handle, the cover and the spout are integrally formed as a single piece. In another embodiment, the cover includes an auxiliary lid to cover a second aperture extending into the body.

Abstract: Apparatus (104) for dispensing material produced by a chemical reaction between a first chemical reagent and a second chemical reagent. The apparatus comprises injection means (306) configured to produce a jet of the first chemical reagent and a jet of the second chemical reagent such that the jets collide to produce the material. The apparatus further comprises a storage chamber (317) and a closing device (321). The storage chamber is arranged to provide temporary storage space for the material, and it has an inlet for receiving said material and an outlet (319) for dispensing the material. The closing device is moveable between a first position in which the material is prevented from passing through the outlet of the storage chamber, while allowing material to be received into the storage chamber through the inlet, and a second position in which the material is allowed to be dispensed through said outlet.

Abstract: An improved measuring cup is disclosed with volumetric indicia disposed on the inside of the cup that are viewable from above the cup, while the cup is disposed on a horizontal countertop or work surface. The horizontally upward facing volume indicia eliminate the need to raise the measuring cup to eye level to check the amount of material that has been added to the cup or the need to stoop down and view a side of the cup while the cup is disposed on a horizontal countertop or work surface. An improved handle is also disclosed which makes the cup more stable and less prone to being tipped over and spilled during use on a horizontal work surface.

Abstract: A venting system of a manually operated trigger sprayer vents the interior of a liquid container connected to the trigger sprayer. The trigger sprayer is provided with a vent chamber that surrounds the pump chamber, and a vent piston that surrounds the pump piston. The vent piston is received in the vent chamber for reciprocating movements with the pump piston in the pump chamber. The reciprocating movement of the vent piston alternatively opens the vent chamber to the exterior environment of the trigger sprayer and thereby vents the interior of the liquid container connected to the trigger sprayer, and closes the vent chamber thereby sealing the interior of the liquid container from the exterior environment.

The upper and lower fluidtight portions are each constituted by at least one annular convex bump portion having a thickness which is the greatest at a point where the annular convex bump portion is in contact with the inner wall of the cylinder.

An integral cap is attached to the collar by a snap-action bow-tie hinge. A central pin on the cap seals with the leaflets when the cap is closed. The closure is integrally molded in open position with raised leaflets and unfolded webs, leaflets then being lowered and the webs folded to closed position while the closure is still warm.

Abstract: A one-piece container closure with a collar, stiff planar triangular leaflets attached by linear hinges to the collar, and thin flexible foldable webs attached to and extending between the leaflets. The leaflets are flat with the webs folded beneath in closed closure position. The leaflets are pivoted upwardly with webs unfolded therebetween in open position. An integral cap is attached to the collar by a snap-action bow-tie hinge. A central pin on the cap seals with the leaflets when the cap is closed. The closure is integrally molded in open position with raised leaflets and unfolded webs, leaflets then being lowered and the webs folded to closed position while the closure is still warm, the cap then being closed, and the closed closure then being annealed to establish the elastic positional memory of the leaflets and hinges in the closed position when product is not being dispensed through the closure.

Abstract: A one way valve assembly flows a sterile flowable substance from a source to an outlet orifice and prevents any backflow of contaminants through the one way valve assembly when the flowable substance ceases to flow. The valve assembly includes an elastomeric membrane which aids in preventing any backflow of contaminants when dispensing of the flowable substance is stopped.

Abstract: A cartridge, particularly a two-component or multi-component cartridge, with at least one cartridge neck and one outlet opening that is closed with a seal that is integrally connected to the cartridge neck, wherein this connection is sectionally realized at least in sections in the form of a predetermined break point, and wherein the cartridge can be opened by tearing off this connection. In order to allow a simple opening of the seal, it contains at least one cap that is integrally connected to the cartridge neck and at least one tear-off element that is integrally connected to the cap, wherein the connection between the cap and the cartridge neck can be torn off manually by exerting tensile force on the tear-off element.

Abstract: A stapler having a housing and a throat defined by the housing and configured to receive a stack of sheets for stapling. The throat separates the housing into a head portion and a base portion. A paper guide is coupled to the stapler, the paper guide being movable between a recessed position within the base portion and an extended position. Insertion of the stack of sheets into the throat does not cause movement of the paper guide.

Abstract: A system is provided for reflow soldering a part that includes: replacing air around an unsoldered part with a first inert gas; removing the first inert gas to form a vacuum around the unsoldered part; vacuum reflow soldering the unsoldered part to form a reflow-soldered part; providing a second inert gas to fill the vacuum around the reflow-soldered part; and replacing the second inert gas with air around the reflow-soldered part.

Abstract: A multipocket document folder may be formed from a primary sheet of stiff, flexible flat stock by die cutting and folding so as to create front and back covers for the folder, each having a separate pocket on its inside surface. The primary sheet of flat stock is die cut to form a rectangular portion on which the front and back covers are delineated, and separate front and back cover pocket flaps projecting from the front and back covers, either from the sides or bottoms thereof. Pocket securing projections are also formed on the primary sheet of flat stock and extending in directions perpendicular to the front and back pocket cover flaps. In this way the front and back cover pocket flaps are foldable in a first direction relative to the spine of the folder into facing relationship to the front and back covers.

Abstract: A carton that can be opened and incrementally reduced in size and reclosed is provided. A horizontal tear line is provided in a main panel of the carton and is connected to a diagonal tear line in each side panel that extends upwardly and crosses to the other main panel. When these tear lines are torn the carton is reduced in size by that increment. A reclosable top is formed in a main panel by two fold lines that extend across that panel. A gusset fold line in each side panel that extends from each tear line downwardly to a main panel allows the top panel and closing flap of the carton to be closed. This carton may have several sections that can be incrementally reduced in size and reclosed as items are removed from the carton.

Abstract: A container has opposed pairs of parallel walls. There are closure members attached to the upper side of one pair of walls which extend downwardly into the container. Handle members attached to the closure members. The handle members are contiguous in the formed container and have aligned hand holes. The upper sides of the handle members are below or at the top of the container. Closure panels are attached to the upper sides of the other pair of walls. The closure panels are attached to the first pair of walls and are over the closure and handle members. The closure panels form an opening to grasp the hand holes.

Abstract: A container blank comprising four walls. The first and third walls are one pair and the second and fourth are another pair. The heights of the walls are substantially equal. A closure member and handle member are attached to each of the walls of one pair of walls. There is a hand hole in each of the handle members. At least one of the closure members has a length greater than one-half the width of one of the walls of the other pair of walls, and the combined length of the closure members is greater than the width of one of the walls of the other pair of walls. A closure panel is attached to each of the other pair of walls. Attachment flaps are attached to the sides of each of the closure panels.

Abstract: Embodiments of a product dispensing apparatus, gate and methods for assembling and using are disclosed. A particularly, useful feature of the embodiments is a movable gate having tabs with perforation which may be formed as part of a unitary body configured for assembly into a product dispensing apparatus. According to an additional feature, the gate may be configured to separate from the tabs upon first use and then be used to open and close or at least partially close a portal for accessing products within the product dispensing apparatus. According to other features, the gate may also be configured to slide up and down, from side-to-side or move within a channel formed in part by the tabs at the perforations and by other gate-enclosing panels.

Abstract: An integrated circuit card system and method are disclosed. The integrated circuit card system may include a host and a memory card for storing test data transferred from the host. The host may transfer the test data to the memory card when a processing time of the memory card exceeds a reference time. The memory card may calculate the test data transferred from the host, and the host may read out the calculated test data.
