Abstract: A plastic injection-molded gear that can prevent the occurrence of noise during meshing attributed to molten-liquid-induced creases, suppress deformations on a rim and a web, and suppress displacement of a meshing position is provided. A rim, on which teeth are formed, is supported by a first overhanging section, a second overhanging section, and radial direction ribs. The first overhanging section projects in a cantilevered manner from an outer peripheral edge of a web. The second overhanging section extends in an outward radial direction from a tip side of the first overhanging section. The radial direction ribs are formed straddling the first overhanging section and the second overhanging section. A connecting section between the rim and the second overhanging section is displaced from a meshing position of the teeth in a teeth width direction.

The shape coupling ensures that the crank arm and the axle portion are integral in rotation, whereas the gluing ensures the sealing of the coupling area against corrosion phenomena. The gluing also ensures a predetermined minimum force limit necessary to disassemble the crank arm assembly. The crank arm assembly has a low overall weight, a simple assembly process, and a suitable resistance to disassembling.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for recovery of iron from copper slag. This invention particularly relates to a process for recovery of iron from a waste like granulated copper slag generated during the production of copper from its ores by a pyrometallurgical method. The present invention will be useful for solving the ecological and environmental issues with an added economic advantage of utilising the dump slag generated in the copper plants. Novelty of the present invention is process for the preparation of value added products viz grinding grade cast iron using copper slag generated during the processing of copper concentrate which otherwise is considered as a waste. Other novel features of the inventions are creating a homogeneous mixture of slag, reductant and flux so that reaction kinetics is more than conventional process. The reductant is used in such a way so that maximum recovery of iron can take place.

Abstract: The apparatus of the present invention comprises a tool having a threaded member which is characterized by a cylindrical shaft or spindle with a surrounding body or handle. The shaft and body are operably engaged by means of a series of magnets in the spindle and the body, and the operable engagement releases once the torque force on the threaded member exceeds the magnetic force between the body and the spindle. In the method of the present invention, the user can calibrate and adjust the torque limit of the assembly by attaching a calibration bar of predetermined length to the threaded member and then rotating the tool over a scale such that the calibration bar contacts the surface of the scale. The user can then adjust a set screw which alters the length of the shaft and alters the magnetic force between the body and the spindle and correspondingly alters the torque limit of the tool to a desired level.

A control sets a tea characteristic of the tea leaves. The tea characteristic can include one or both of tea format (loose or bagged) and tea type. The control can also set tea strength. A control circuit communicates with the heater. The control circuit controls power to the heater to heat the water to a steep temperature and then controls power to the heater to maintain the steep temperature for a steep time. The control circuit determines the steep temperature and the steep time based on the set tea characteristic or characteristics. It can further determine steep time based on the set tea strength. The tea leaves steep in the heated water until the expiration of the steep time to produce a brewed tea.

Abstract: A waffle maker set for making filled waffles includes a waffler, a tunnel forming device and a filling injector. The waffler has heated top and bottom grills each having a plurality of protruding blocks on its inside. The tunnel forming device has blades with a shape corresponding to the arrangement of the blocks in the grills. With the waffler open, a waffle mix is added on the grills and allowed to pre-bake. The tunnel forming device is pressed into the mix in the space between the blocks to form grooves in the mix. When the waffler is closed, the grooves form tunnels inside the mix. A nose of the filling injector is inserted through one or more holes on the top grill of the waffler to reach into the tunnels, and a filling material (e.g. jelly) is injected into the tunnels to form filled waffles.

Abstract: A portable roller grill for cooking hot dogs includes an array of rollers coupled between a drive-end bracket and an idler-end bracket of a frame and a drive system. The drive system includes drive gears and intermediate gears arranged between the drive gears such that all of the drive gears rotate in the same rotational direction. The drive gears are coupled to the rollers such that rotation of the drive gears result in rotation of the rollers. Each drive gear is adapted to receive a motorized drive member such that the drive system can be actuated using any of the drive gears. The roller grill includes legs coupled to the brackets to support the rollers at an adjustable height above a heat source in a deployed leg condition. The legs have a collapsed condition facilitating storage and transportation.

Abstract: In a synchronous flexographic press having plural operational modes either processing or cleaning fluid is continuously pumped from a selected one of a plurality of reservoirs onto a pre-doctor blade forming a pre-doctoring nip with and terminating in inwardly spaced relation to opposite ends of an anilox roll metering surface. Fluid continuously runs off the terminal ends of the blade and into a trough at all times in gravity fluid communication with at least one of the reservoirs for return flow to a reservoir under the influence of gravity. A programmable logic controller (PLC) operates a fluid distribution valve to select the mode of operation (processing or self-cleaning) and provides appropriate response to malfunction. An impression roll, and the anilox roll are located at the same side of a vertical axial plane of the press print drum and adjacent the drum within a common angular quarter of the drum.
