Patent number: 7311573Abstract: A water craft or canoe paddle device is provided for one-arm use. The paddle device enables a user to produce power strokes similar to strokes that are achieved with a traditional canoe paddle used by an individual using two unimpaired arms and two unimpaired hands. In one embodiment, one end of the paddle device for one-arm use is fastened to the upper torso, or shoulder area of the user. In a second embodiment, one end of the paddle device for one-arm use is fastened to the biceps area of the user. The design of the paddle shaft enables a user with one unimpaired arm to grasp the shaft of the paddle with their one unimpaired hand in substantially a perpendicular configuration to the shaft of the paddle. The power is achieved because the canoe paddle device for one-arm use design enables the large muscle groups of the shoulder, torso, back, and abdominal muscles to be utilized during each stroke of the paddle.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2006Date of Patent: December 25, 2007Inventor: Cindy Dillenschneider

Patent number: 7311601Abstract: The invention provides a gaming machine having manufacturer-limited parameter values or parameter value combinations selectable by an operator during gaming machine set-up. The parameter values preferably include different maximum pay lines associated with different denominations and are limited to those which have been determined by the manufacturer to provide optimum game play. The different maximum pay lines may be associated with different math models having substantially the same payback percentage values. Subsequent operator selection of the parameter values during gaming machine therefore setup allows the gaming machine having a single game theme or a gaming machine having multiple game themes to be configured with different maximum pay lines for each single game theme. As a result, the player can play a single theme wagering game with a first maximum pay line value and with a second maximum pay line value where the second maximum pay line value differs from the first maximum pay line value.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2003Date of Patent: December 25, 2007Assignee: WMS Gaming, Inc.Inventors: Peter R. Patent number: 7311609Abstract: A miniature electrically powered thread reel and precision spooling mechanism fully and discretely hidden inside the cap of a working ink pen. Primarily intended for use by magicians during routines that require a super-thin thread be used for secretly controlling the motion of small objects. The device is completely self-contained and internally houses all necessary components required for normal and reliable functioning. The reel mechanism consists of a spool, spool-cap, motor, motor-housing, switch, battery, electrical contacts, and connective wiring. The main body of the pen is split into two primary sections and is retractable in length. This specialized body configuration is required because the cap contains the reel mechanism, and as a result is not hollow like an ordinary pen cap, so the body of the pen is segmented allowing the halves to slide together.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2005Date of Patent: December 25, 2007Inventor: Yigal Mesika

The swing analysis apparatus include video cameras for obtaining video images of a golfer swinging a golf club, such as a putter, at a golf ball. Images obtained from the video cameras may then be analyzed to determine what golf club dimensions will provide improved results in combination with the golfer's individual swing characteristics. The apparatus may additionally include a golf club having predetermined dimensions. When such a golf club is included, images from the video cameras may be analyzed to determine how the golf club of known dimensions must be adjusted to provide the golfer with desirable swing results. The apparatus may also include a method for confirming the dimensions that it is believed will provide a golfer with improve swing results.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2003Date of Patent: December 25, 2007Assignee: Acushnet CompanyInventors: Don T. Patent number: 7311612Abstract: A golf club head with multiple cells of magnetically held pins is disclosed. The cells are placed on the sweet spot on the head of the golf club. The pins within the cells are set to extend beyond the face of the golf club and maintained in position with a bi-polar magnetic force. When the pins make contact with a golf ball the magnetic field holding the pin(s) in position is broken and the pin is pushed into a rear position where it is held in a retracted magnetic position. The impact location of the ball on the head of the golf club can then be determined by visually looking at the location of the displaced pins. The pins can then be manually pushed to the initial position and the club is ready to detect the impact location with subsequent golf balls.Type: GrantFiled: February 9, 2006Date of Patent: December 25, 2007Inventor: Victor E. Patent number: 7311617Abstract: A training device for ball games having a first ring member arranged in a first plane and a second ring member arranged in a second plane substantially parallel to the first plane. A plurality of bars connect the first and second ring members to each other, so that a plurality of openings are defined between the ring members and the bars. The device provides openings defined by the ring members and the bars in all directions when the device is placed with one of the ring members resting on the ground. Thus it is possible for several persons to train at the same time since each person is allowed to use a respective one of the openings. At least one net is suspended across the inner space to catch the ball.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2002Date of Patent: December 25, 2007Assignee: Global Goal ApSInventor: Jesper Langhorn
