Publication number: 20080023040Abstract: Methods and systems for operating a facility which stores large quantities of petroleum. When the large storage tanks need cleaning or sludge abatement, the sludge from the interior of storage tanks is mobilized using a metered flow agent stream, and then subjected to a mechanical comminution or high shear action, e.g. by grinding or chopping. This produces a pumpable slurry which is then recirculated back into the tank to further mobilize sludge. This cleaning technique results in a faster cleaning process. This also provides a process which is less exposed to uncertainties in the composition of the sludge, e.g. to how much rust or scale is present in the sludge. Since the duration of downtime for cleaning is shorter AND less uncertain, tank cleaning can be scheduled into smaller schedule gaps, resulting in less capital cost (for downtime) and lower maintenance budget overall (since developing leakage problems can be caught sooner).Type: ApplicationFiled: May 7, 2007Publication date: January 31, 2008Applicant: JR & JH Holdings, LLCInventor: John Hancock

Publication number: 20080023045Abstract: A system and method for control of water content in a strip bath. The method to control water content in a solvent bath used for cleaning of semiconductor parts in the back end of semiconductor manufacturing requires addition of water to replace evaporated water. The transducer also includes a low pressure control section coupled to the pressure divider section and configured to receiving the gas supply at the reduced pressure and an amplifying section coupled to the low pressure control section. The low pressure control section varies the reduced pressure to produce a variable control pressure to actuate the amplifying section in response thereto. The amplifying section is also configured to multiply the variable control pressure as a function of a second ratio to obtain an output pressure.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 19, 2007Publication date: January 31, 2008Inventor: Andy Askew

Publication number: 20080023077Abstract: A valve box, a valve control device, an assembly thereof and a method are provided for accessing an underground valve and indicating presence and position of the underground valve. The valve box includes a support member having a tubular section; and a resilient tubular member telescopable slidably into the tubular section of the support member. An upper end of the resilient tubular member is extendable above the ground. Various elements are disclosed for stiffening the tubular member against deformation due to forces applied to it. The valve control device comprises a control rod having one end attachable to the underground valve and a control key including a key head, a key handle and a key stem. The key head has a cone-shaped cavity and a recess portion at the top of the cavity, the recess portion being dimensioned to engage a projection at the other end of the control rod.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 24, 2007Publication date: January 31, 2008Inventors: Edward Weisz, Jon Whiteside

Publication number: 20080023078Abstract: A constant flow regulator device for maintaining a constant flow of fluid when a variable fluid pressure is applied, comprising an inlet duct (506) for incoming fluid, a housing (500), and a movable partition (502) facing the inlet duct and being subjected to an elastic force. A fluid passage (510) of variable cross section area is formed between the inlet duct and the movable partition. The housing and movable partition form an inner compartment (504) in fluid communication with the inlet duct for establishing a fluid pressure inside the inner compartment approximately equal to the fluid pressure in the inlet duct. The size of the movable partition is significantly greater than the size of the inlet duct such that, in use, the partition is moved towards the inlet duct against the elastic force when the fluid pressure in the inlet duct increases to reduce said fluid passage cross section area, and vice versa, thereby maintaining constant fluid flow.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2006Publication date: January 31, 2008Applicant: Aerocrine ABInventor: Svante Bahrton

Publication number: 20080023080Abstract: A check valve stop assembly and method of retaining the check valve stop assembly in a check valve flow body without external fixation means, wherein the check valve stop assembly includes a threaded check valve stop insert and a check valve stop housing including a threaded interior sidewall that defines a void space therein. The check valve stop insert is inserted within the void space of the check valve stop housing by mating the threads of the check valve stop insert with those of the check valve stop housing. The check valve stop housing further includes an opening formed in the sidewall through which at least a portion of the check valve stop insert is accessible. The check valve stop insert that is accessible via the opening formed in the sidewall is either coupled to the check valve stop housing or mechanically deformed to prevent removal of the check valve stop insert from within the check valve stop housing.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 31, 2006Publication date: January 31, 2008Inventors: G.
