Abstract: A flow measurement apparatus is provided that combines the functionality of an apparatus that uses strain-based sensors and ultrasonic sensors to measure the speed of sound propagating through a fluid flowing within a pipe, and measure pressures disturbances (e.g. vortical disturbances or eddies) moving with a fluid to determine respective parameters of the flow propagating through a pipe. The apparatus includes a sensing device that includes an array of pressure sensors used to measure the acoustic and convective pressure variations in the flow to determine desired parameters and an ultrasonic meter portion to measure the velocity and volumetric flow of the fluid. In response to an input signal or internal logic, the processor can manually or dynamically switch between the pressure sensors and ultrasonic sensors to measure the parameters of the flow.

Abstract: Occurrence of teeth-knocking noises during meshing, attributed to backlash, is reduced. In addition, torque fluctuations, cracks, and overshooting are prevented by deformation of an overhanging section being performed smoothly. A thin-walled section is formed on one end face among two end faces of a tooth in a tooth-width direction. A portion of the thin-walled section is projected and formed so as to serve as an overhanging section. The overhanging section prevents backlash. Regarding a thickness T3 of the overhanging section, a thickness T2 of a tooth flank corresponding section, and a thickness T1 of a tooth crest corresponding section positioned therebetween, T1<T3<T2 is satisfied. The tooth crest corresponding section having the thinnest thickness T1 is easily deformed. Therefore, deformation of the overhanging section when meshing with a partner gear is performed smoothly without inhibition.

Abstract: A dynamic spindle adjustment permitting an adjustment movement for the compensation of a wobble of the body held by the work spindle is provided on the spindle bearing of a machine tool. The regulation is designed at least dynamically enough for the regulation to permit a reliable tracking of the rotating work spindle. As a result of this, one or more spindles can be moved relative to a stationary machine in such a manner that the path of a body held on the work spindle represents an ideal rotation about the desired body axis, that is, the axis of symmetry. The compensation motion can be achieved by energizing appropriate actuators of the bearing devices with sinusoidal and cosinusoidal adjustment signals, which are superimposed to produce a circular motion of the affected bearing device. This circular motion compensates for orbital motions of the misaligned body (7) held on the work spindle.

Abstract: The aim of the invention is to temporarily retain sheet metal strips (21-24) which are cut from a metal plate by a roller cutting device (2). Said aim is achieved by using a holding device that magnetically and/or pneumatically grips the top face of the sheet metal strips, preferably in scissor shears, resulting in a substantially reduced adjusting effort and mechanical effort in comparison to previously used torsion bars.

Each of the punching and/or embossing stations includes one platen fixed to the frame and one movable platen. Furthermore, a transport device for transporting the sheets through the individual processing stations is provided. The movable platens are each actuated by separate drive units by a position governing circuit so that the stroke movement of the movable platen of each punching and/or embossing station can be individually adjusted.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a lever arrangement (10) for a microtome (1). The lever arrangement (10) encompasses a first lever (11) and a second lever (12). The first lever (11) is mounted rotatably about a first axis (13) and is rotatable by an operator. The second lever (12) is mounted rotatably about a second axis (14). The first axis (13) is arranged substantially parallel to the second axis (14). The one lever (11) comprises two guidance surfaces (17, 18). The other lever (12) comprises a guidance segment (20). The guidance segment (20) coacts with the two guidance surfaces (17, 18) in such a way that a rotation of the first lever (11) in a first direction (23) rotates the second lever (12) in a target direction (25), and a rotation of the first lever (11) in a direction (24) opposite to the first direction (23) likewise rotates the second lever (12) in the target direction (25).
