Abstract: A system and method for drug management using transferable labels provides a chain of identity for medications from their arrival in a pharmacy to administration to a patient. Drug information is read, in some embodiments optically, and imprinted on a transferable label optionally fabricated of low stretch, chemical resistant material, that is attached to the medication package. The transferable label is checked to make sure that it correctly corresponds to the drug information. At the time of preparation for administration, the transferable label is transferred from the medication package to the administration device, typically a syringe or dose cup. The health care giver scans the patient identification information, usually found on an identification bracelet, the transferable label, and optionally, a unique code belonging to the administering party. The system will reject non-matches between scanned inputs, and may be configured with a variety of safety steps, displays, and reports.

A second aperture is disposed in one of the side walls, and is sufficiently large to permit the sheet products to be grasped by one or more fingers of a human hand from above the second aperture in order to pass individual sheet products at least partially through the slot aperture.

Abstract: A food dispensing device having a frame with first and second sidewalls in spaced parallel relation that house a heating board and a slant board. The slant board is positioned below the heating board and both slope downwardly. Specifically, the heating board has a plurality of slots therein such that juice from a food product flows through the slots and onto the slant board. Adjacent and below the heating board and slant board is a flange that is positioned such that when a food product is placed on the heating board the food product rolls toward the flange and simultaneously juice flows from off the slant board into a juice tray disposed below the flange.

The ratcheting mechanism is controlled by either the pressure within the fuel storage chamber or an electronic controller. Additionally, the gas-generating apparatus of the present invention includes a fuel introducing system that has a fuel transporting system that is pressure regulated.

The barrier structure(s) catch agglomerations of the material, and can be used to break up such agglomerations and/or to prevent large objects from the entering the supply space. The ball cap can be stretched, with or without steam, to adjust the size of the cap. The ball cap can be hot-air dried by the apparatus to block the ball cap to the correct shape. The band suspended from a location proximate the top of the backrest of the passenger seat for applying an upward resilient force on the supported package while maintaining the bottom of the package on the seating portion. The elasticity of the band and its configuration prevent it from returning to its quiescent unstretched shape as long the package is engaged.

Abstract: A loader for loading a kayak or other article onto a roofrack carrier. Typically two carriers are mounted on a roofrack and loader is used for each carrier. Each loader has a loading cradle that is slidably mounted in a slide rail and an attachment plate for attaching the slide rail to a carrier. A kayak is supported in the two loading cradles. Each cradle is pushed up the slide rail to lift the kayak near to the carrier. The lifting can be done by a single person in steps. A locking mechanism holds the loading cradle in position on the slide rail and prevents it from sliding backward. The user may move from one loader to the other to sequentially push the loading cradles up the two slide rails, thereby bringing the kayak close to the carriers mounted on the roofrack and in position for loading into the carriers.

The roof-top carrier includes a space frame having at least a U-shaped portion, the legs of which are each slidingly mountable to each of a front and back cross bar of a vehicular roof rack. Forward and back cross members are provided that are mounted upon the space frame, the front cross member carrying a pair of kayak saddles, each faced with a friction inducing material for discouraging slippage between a secured kayak and the space frame and the back cross member carrying a pair of guide panels, each faced with a slip inducing material for encouraging slippage between a kayak being loaded on or unloaded from the space frame. Abstract: An adjustment structure for a bicycle lock holding dock to adjust hanging angle of a lock without using any tools. It has an anchor seat to be fastened to the bicycle frame. The anchor seat has a coupling portion on a front side to fasten to a sleeve. The sleeve has a plurality of notches on an inner rim close to one end to be latched by a jutting latch member formed on the periphery of a rotary member. The rotary member has a housing chamber to hold, in this order, a pushbutton, a thrust member, a first spring, a spacer and a second spring, and a wedge trough on another end to be coupled with the lock. By pushing the rotary member, the latch member can escape from the notches so that the rotary member can be rotated to alter the angle of the wedge trough. Thereby the hanging angle of the lock can be adjusted according to user's requirements.

Abstract: A bifurcated golf bag assembly with attachments that can be carried securely on a two wheeled vehicle such as a bicycle. The golf bag assembly includes a first and second bag each containing a number of rimmed cylindrical tubes forming receptacles for receiving golf clubs, a series of semicircular plates with a number of holes similarly positioned in each of the plates to receive, separate and maintain the position of the cylindrical tubes in the bags. The bag portions are joined at the top by a plate comprised of two semicircular plates joined at the center by a hinge assembly to allow the bags to pivot away from each other to opposite sides of a bicycle rack. The bag assembly is supported on the bicycle rack by angled straps and secured by releasable fasteners that fasten the bag portions together when not in transport.

In an embodiment, the bag may have a secondary strap attached to the strap substantially at or near the mid-section which is capable of helping to maintain the folding in the strap. In this manner, the bag may be carried by a user as a shoulder bag or as a backpack.

Abstract: A tool for dispensing plastic fasteners from a fastener clip includes a housing, a trigger pivotally mounted in the housing, a hollow slotted needle slidably mounted in the housing, an ejector rod disposed to insert back and forth through the hollow needle and an indexing mechanism for advancing the cross-bar of a fastener in the fastener clip into axial alignment behind the needle. The indexing mechanism includes a feed slide coupled to the trigger and a pivotally mounted feed cam connected to the feed slide, the feed cam including a pair of spaced apart projections. A metal feed pawl includes a ratchet shaped tooth and is disposed against the feed cam in a fitted relationship between the pair of projections. A spring mounted on the feed pawl resiliently urges the ratchet tooth into continuous contact with the fastener clip to prevent a jamming condition.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a quick loading mechanism of magazine of a coil nailer and more particularly to a magazine of a coil nailer that has two corresponding receiving parts possessed on the connection device and the magazine base. Two grooves are implemented inside the receiving parts and two pivot parts are implemented on both sides of the magazine with two flanges provided on the two pivot parts. Through the match of the pivot parts and the flanges with the receiving parts and grooves, a user can rotate the magazine having it positioned slantwise so that the loading port of the magazine will be changed in position from right on the handle to slantwise, then unlock the fixing ridge on the barrel to load nails into the magazine. The mechanism is presumed to have nails being loaded quickly, more conveniently and safely, and the objective of easy operation and safe locking is attained as well.

The SULU includes a proximal body portion, an intermediate pivot member and a tool assembly. The intermediate pivot member is pivotally secured to the proximal body portion about a first pivot axis and the tool assembly is pivotally secured to the intermediate pivot member about a second pivot axis which is orthogonal to the first pivot axis. The SULU includes a plurality of articulation links which are operably connected to the tool assembly by non-rigid links. The articulation links are adapted to releasably engage articulation links positioned in the central body portion. The body portion articulation links are connected to an articulation actuator which is supported for omni-directional movement to effect articulation of the tool assembly about the first and second axes.

Abstract: A solder preform includes a solder material, a diffusion barrier disposed adjacent to a surface of the solder material, and an oxidation barrier disposed adjacent to the diffusion barrier wherein the diffusion barrier is interposed between the solder material and the oxidation barrier. The solder preform can be disposed adjacent to a bonding surface of a thermal component, and the solder material heated at least to its melting temperature and then cooled below its melting temperature, bonding the solder material with the bonding surface of the thermal component. A flux-free bonding interface can be maintained between the thermal component and the solder preform.

Abstract: An apparatus for performing thermowelding of, e.g., a battery module or the like. The surface of a heater of a thermowelding apparatus is subjected to surface treatment through coating of Teflon, fluoroplastics, or the like. Moreover, both side surfaces of the heater are folded. Surface treatment of the heater obviates thermowelding involving interposition of a Teflon tape, thereby improving a working efficiency. Folding both side surfaces of the heater prevents occurrence of warpage, which would otherwise arise during heating, whereby durability of the heater is also enhanced.

Abstract: Systems for coupling end portions of two elongated heater portions and methods of using such systems to treat a subsurface formation are described herein. A system may include a holding system configured to hold end portions of the two elongated heater portions so that the end portions are abutted together or located near each other; a shield for enclosing the end portions, and one or more inert gas inlets configured to provide at least one inert gas to flush the system with inert gas during welding of the end portions. The shield may be configured to inhibit oxidation during welding that joins the end portions together. The shield may include a hinged door that, when closed, is configured to at least partially isolate the interior of the shield from the atmosphere. The hinged door, when open, is configured to allow access to the interior of the shield.

Abstract: A novel method for bonding components has been disclosed. For bonding ceramic components the method involves placing at least three metal interlayers between the components. There is a central core metal layer and two other metal layers placed on either side of the core layer adjacent the ceramic components. The metal layers are heated to a temperature sufficient to transform at least part of the metal layers into a liquid. The temperature is maintained until the liquid begins to solidify and the first points of bonding between the components and the solidifying interlayer is established. This system can also be used to bond a ceramic component to a metal component. The metal component can be placed adjacent the central core metal layer without an intervening metal layer.
