Publication number: 20080095152Abstract: Hardware-enforced zoning is provided in Fibre Channel switches to protect against breaching of assigned zones in a switch network which can occur with software-based zoning techniques. The invention provides logic for performing a hardware-based validation of the Source ID S_ID of frames both at the point where the frame enters the Fibre Channel fabric, and at the point where the frame leaves the fabric. Publication number: 20080095153Abstract: A connection-basis identification information storing unit receives connection-basis identification information for identifying a packet for which information on the packet is to be collected, and stores received connection-basis identification information. A connection-basis packet information collecting unit acquires the information receives stores if a packet that is identified by the stored connection-basis identification information is received, and stores acquired information in a predetermined storage unit on the basis of the connection identified by a combination of a transmission source address and a transmission destination address included in the packet.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 15, 2007Publication date: April 24, 2008Applicant: FUJITSU LIMITEDInventors: Hideyo Fukunaga, Takeshi Miyaura

Publication number: 20080095154Abstract: An IPv6 address configuration method for a terminal in a wireless mobile network and an apparatus therefor are provided. In the wireless mobile network, an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) address configuration apparatus is provided to a router (access control router; ACR) or a base station (radio access station; RAS). In the address configuration apparatus, a MAC access procedure is performed to extract information required for IPv6 address allocation procedure, and the address is configured by using available fields of a message. In addition, a duplicate address detector (DAD) in which the terminal directly takes part is omitted by using information on the router (ACR) or the base station (RAS). In addition, during the IPv6 address configuration procedure, in order to prevent messages of IPv6 from being transmitted in a wireless region, an agent for address configuration is provided to the terminal.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2007Publication date: April 24, 2008Applicants: Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Samsung Electronics Co., LTD.Inventors: Sun-Mi JUN, Nam-Suk LEE, Kyung-Soo KIM

Publication number: 20080095155Abstract: An downstream external Physical Layer (PHY) interface between a network and an edge quadrature amplitude modulator (EQAM) is provided. The interface comprises, an input direct memory access (DMA) controller enabled to control rate of packets received from the network, a plurality of buffers to store received packets, a first module enabled to convert packets to a first format and a second module enabled to convert packets to a second format. The interface further comprises a plurality of processors enabled to customize an output format of packets based on instructions stored in an instruction memory and a plurality of flow meters enabled to determine an output rate for packets based on, at least in part, a modulator rate of the EQAM. An output DMA controller controls the rate of egress of packets to the EQAM.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2007Publication date: April 24, 2008Applicant: Broadcom CorporationInventor: Joel I. Publication number: 20080095157Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system for linking a first autonomous network system to at least one second autonomous network system. The first autonomous network system having a first private IP address space and the at least one second autonomous network system having at least one second private IP address space. The first private IP address space and the at least one second private IP address space are at least partially overlapping. The system includes a first routing domain including the first autonomous network system and at least one second routing domain including the at least one second autonomous network system. A geographically diverse linking autonomous system couples the first autonomous network system and the at least one second autonomous network system.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2007Publication date: April 24, 2008Applicant: Verizon Business Global LLCInventor: Alan McCabe

Publication number: 20080095158Abstract: A boundary node router determines whether a received packet includes a SIP message and a REGISTER message, and, if so, adds its router identifier to a REGISTER message which includes a user identifier and a user terminal identifier, sent from a user terminal, and sends the message to a SIP server. The SIP server has a user management table which stores the user terminal identifier, the router identifier of a router which serves the user terminal, and a predetermined Quality of Service type, in association with each user identifier. The SIP server extracts a user identifier, a user terminal identifier, and a router identifier from a received REGISTER message, and updates the user terminal identifier and the router identifier corresponding to the extracted user identifier, to the extracted user terminal identifier and the extracted router identifier.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2007Publication date: April 24, 2008Inventors: Hiroaki Nakazawa, Atsushi Tachikawa

Publication number: 20080095159Abstract: A server proxy (12), which is arranged between a distribution server (11) and a router (13a), adds quality information to a packet (19a) from the distribution server (11) to output a packet (19b). A plurality of reception terminal proxies (17a-17n), which are arranged immediately before respective reception terminals (18a-18n), remove the quality information from the packet (19b) distributed via a network (14) and routers (13b-13m), and distribute only necessary information to the respective reception terminals (18). Each reception terminal proxy (17) which includes a quality information acquisition unit (17A) acquires the quality information to transmit, from a quality information calculation/transmission unit (17B), the quality information (51) to an accumulation server (15). The accumulation server (15) saves, in a quality information database, packet quality information (52) for each reception terminal (18).Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2004Publication date: April 24, 2008Inventors: Kazuya Suzuki, Masahiro Jibiki
