Publication number: 20080110828Abstract: A wastewater treatment system has two separate but interlinked tanks containing four different zones, namely aerobic, microaerophilic, anoxic and anaerobic, for the biological treatment of the wastewater, as well as two clarification zones and a filtration unit for separation of solids from liquid. The first tank contains the aerobic, microaerophilic and anoxic zone as well as a clarification zone, while the second dank includes the anaerobic zone, a solid-liquid separation zone and a filtration unit. The aerobic zone is an airlift reactor that contains air diffusers at the bottom of the zone to introduce air into the zone. The air bubbles mix the liquid and its content of microorganisms, and provide oxygen for the aerobic biological processes that take place in this zone. Aeration also produces circulation of liquid between the aerobic zone and its adjacent microaerophilic and anoxic zones that are located at the sides and under the aerobic zone, respectively.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 3, 2005Publication date: May 15, 2008Applicant: BIOCAST SYSTEMS INC.Inventors: Laleh Yerushalmi, Michael J. Therefore, a product molded using the machined mold would show different changes or refraction of light.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2006Publication date: May 15, 2008Inventor: Chung Lung Chen

Publication number: 20080110871Abstract: The present application relates to an improved thick film stainless steel heater structure of the electric hair curler. And the technical problem the present application aims to settle is to provide a simple-structure, low-cost, fast-heating-up, insulating and high-voltage-resistant heater structure of the electric hair curler, which is more compact and stable, and has a simple production craft, a reliable performance, no lead and toxins, and a good insulating effect. Then the present application comprises a substrate equipped with a layer of an insulating thick film medium equipped with a layer of heating resistance equipped with an insulating coating layer, and the ends of the heating resistance are equipped with electrodes.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 26, 2007Publication date: May 15, 2008Inventors: Shenghong Wu, Taijun Deng, Qingju Ning

Publication number: 20080110872Abstract: High sparking initiator compositions with a controlled amount of power are disclosed. The initiator compositions comprise a metal containing oxidizing agent, at least one metal reducing agent, and a non-explosive binder. Low voltage igniters that provide bidirectional plumes upon ignition are also disclosed. These igniters have a electrically resistive element positioned across a hole in a support which directs the plume. These igniters and compositions are useful in the actuation of solid fuel heating unit, in particular, sealed heating units.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2008Publication date: May 15, 2008Applicant: ALEXZA PHARMACEUTICALS, INC.Inventors: Ron Hale, Mingzu Lei, Hilary Pettit, Dennis Solas, Soonho Song, Curtis Tom

Publication number: 20080110873Abstract: An oven having a first heat source for heating a first heating bay and a second heat source for heating a second heating bay. The first heat source heats by conduction and may made up of a series of uniformly heated and rotating cylinder upon which a sausage-like food can be placed for heating or cooking. The second heat source is placed near the first heat source and heats by convection. The second heat source caramelizes the exterior of the food placed near it to create the appearance that the sausage was flame cooked.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2006Publication date: May 15, 2008Inventor: Wei-Teh Ho

Publication number: 20080110876Abstract: A heating pad is disclosed. The heating pad has a heating line received in a bag, wherein a plurality of heat preservation elements are slipped over the heating line; when the heating pad is electrified, a controller controls the temperature of the heating line for heat applying on a human body; when a electric source is turned off, the heating line stops being heated up, the heat preservation elements keeps on scattering heat outwards to extend the time of heat applying. The heat preservation elements can be ceramic pipes able to emit far infrared ray, so that during heat applying, the ceramic pipes can emit far infrared ray to get an effect of health care.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2006Publication date: May 15, 2008Inventor: Shuh-Tsai Yang
