Abstract: A one-piece cable support having a box-shaped mounting assembly. The box-shaped mounting assembly extends over a cable tray portion of the cable support and includes several optional mounting apertures. Once secured to a building structure through the box-shaped assembly, the weight of a suspended bundle of cables is distributed evenly below the box-shaped assembly, thereby permitting the load to be balanced evenly below the assembly and reducing the bending moment and therefore the stress on the wall portion connecting the cable tray and mounting assembly portions of the support. A bracket assembly is provided on the bottom of the cable support to allow easy ganging of multiple cable supports without the need for specialized brackets. Stiffeners are included on the cable support to improve the withstanding of bending forces. A cable retaining arrangement secures cable bundles within the support.

Abstract: A trash bag support apparatus includes a flexible and unitary body being selectively adaptable between linear and arcuate positions for removably inserting into a trash bag and engaging with an inner surface thereof. The body has opposed end portions and a top portion integral therewith. A plurality of elongated leg portions having lower edge portions are integrally disposed with the top portion and extend downwardly therefrom for defining a plurality of channels therebetween. The edge portions define a uniform line of weakness below which the trash bag is unsupported by the apparatus.

Abstract: An adjusting device for positioning shower head includes a holder movably connected to a rod and a clip for positioning a shower head is rotatably connected to the holder. A frame is connected to the holder and a clamp is movably located between the holder and the frame. The clamp has a clamp shoe which is in a first position to contact the rod or in a second position to be removed from the rod. The clamp has an insertion extending therefrom which extends through the frame and is connected with a lever unit. A spring is mounted on the insertion. The lever unit can pull the insertion to remove the clamp shoe away from the rod to allow the holder to be moved along the rod.

Abstract: A clamp assembly is disclosed for a tonneau cover for a vehicle wherein the clamp assembly includes a plurality of spacers disposed therein to facilitate installation thereof on a variety of vehicle types and styles.

Abstract: A hair collection device for collecting hair from the hand of user to remove hair from the head left on the hand of the user during a shower. The hair collection device includes a collection member being designed for being selectively coupled to a wall of the shower. The collection member is designed for receiving the hair from the hand of the user to allow the user to collect the hair at a later time to be thrown out when the hand of the user is wiped across the collection member. At least one mounting member is coupled to the collection member. The mounting member is designed for selectively engaging the wall of the shower to secure the collection member to the wall.

Abstract: A communication device holder for vehicles includes an upper cover and a lower cover cooperating with the upper cover; a left wing member and a right wing member, which are horizontally displaceable, are disposed in between the upper cover and the lower cover; one end of the left wing member is formed with at least one clamping jaw, and the other end of the left wing member is formed with a horizontal rack; one end of the right wing member is formed with at least one clamping jaw, and the other end of the right wing member is formed with the horizontal rack and at least one raised portion, and the raised portion is connected with a post formed on the upper cover through a spring; the spring pushes the right wing member to displace towards the outside of the upper cover.

Abstract: A pedestal comprising a pedestal base whose upper surface defines at least two pairs of open channels. Each pair of open channels is sized and spaced so that a support member of constant cross-section can be slidably fitted into the pair of channels. The pairs of channels are positioned so that, when a straight support member is fitted into each pair of channels, all the support members are parallel to each other and form a platform for supporting objects. The pedestals are particularly useful in the catering and hospitality industry for supporting food and beverage containers, tableware, flower vases and sculptures.

Abstract: A slurry for molding an article is provided wherein a source powder including at least one of a ceramic powder and a metal powder is dispersed, introduced into a forming mold, cured in the forming mold to form the molded article, and at least a part of the forming mold is degraded or dissolved in releasing the molded article from the forming mold. The major components of the slurry include the source powder, a dispersion medium and a gellifying agent, wherein the dispersion medium and the gellifying agent each contain an organic compound having a reactive functional group such that the slurry is cured by a reaction between the organic compound in the dispersion medium and the organic compound in the gellifying agent.

Abstract: A composite material used for a resin mold for forming hardened resin by hardening fluid resin is provided. The composite material comprises a first material having excellent wear resistance against the fluid resin and a second material having excellent unwettability against the fluid resin. The resin mold comprises a substrate of the first material, a large number of pores each provided to form an opening on a surface of the substrate opposite to the fluid resin and a film of the second material formed along the inner wall surface of each pore at least around the opening. Each of the large number of pores is a communicating hole connecting the surface opposite to the fluid resin and the remaining surface with each other. Therefore, releasability between a mold surface and the hardened resin and wear resistance of the composite material against the fluid resin can be improved.

Abstract: An automatic flush actuation apparatus, which is incorporated with a flushing system having a water inlet, a water outlet, and a water chamber communicating therebetween, that includes a valve member being moved by a flush lever for releasing the water pressure within the water chamber to allow the water passing from the water inlet to the water outlet, and a sensor-operated powering assembly including a relief valve provided at the valve member for controlling the water flowing to the water outlet and an actuator arranged in such a manner that while sensing a presence of a user of the flushing system, the actuator is driven to move the relief valve to an opened position for releasing the water pressure within the water chamber to allow the water passing to said water outlet.

Abstract: A valve assembly is disclosed for use in conjunction with a replaceable filter cartridge system. The valve assembly includes a head member having an interior valve chamber defining a central axis, and inlet and outlet passages extending parallel to and communicating with the interior valve chamber. The valve assembly further includes a valve member having an inlet path and an outlet path, adapted for rotation within the interior valve chamber of the head member between a filter position wherein the inlet path of the valve member is in communication with the inlet passage of the head member and a bypass position wherein the inlet path of the valve member is out of communication with the inlet passage of the head member. The valve assembly further includes a seal member seated in an upper surface of the valve member and positioned to seal against an opposing surface of the interior valve chamber.

Abstract: A load hoisting system for raising and lowering a load. A first line supports a rigid beam with unequal mechanical advantages on either side of the load. A second line supports the same rigid beam with mechanical advantages on either side of the load that are, in total, equal to those on the first line but with a ratio of mechanical advantages unequal to the ratio of mechanical advantages of the first line. One end of each line is fastened to a fixed support and the other ends of the two lines are drawn at the same rate by a power source, which system eliminates all axial rotation of the beam. The system may be applied to both ends of a long load by drawing of all lines in synchronism, advantageously being applied to lift both ends of a boat.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides for a jack-winch assembly. The assembly includes a jack; a winch, secured to the jack; and a crank. The crank is independently engageable with the winch and the jack. The crank shifts between a first position, where the crank engages the winch, and a second position, where the crank engages the jack. In another embodiment, a jack-winch assembly is provided that includes a winch; a jack, secured to the winch; and a crank. The winch includes a base; a drum that is rotatably secured to the base; and a gear for driving the drum. The crank is engageable with both the gear and the jack to independently operate the winch and the jack. The crank includes an actuating member to shift the crank between a first position, where the crank engages the gear, and a second position, where the crank engages the jack.

Abstract: A fencing system includes a post mount mountable on a foundation and having a vertically extending outer surface. A post insert sits atop the post mount and has an outer surface disposed outwardly of the post mount outer surface. The post insert has an upper sidewall which extends upwardly of the post mount and defines an upwardly opening cavity. A post includes a sidewall having an inner surface defining a cavity therein in which the post mount and post insert are slidably received with the outer surface of the post insert preferably closely adjacent the post inner surface. A rail is mounted via a rail mounting bracket to the post insert. Threaded fasteners extend from the rail mounting bracket through respective holes in the post and are threaded into mounting holes in the post insert to provide a strong connection for the mounting of the rail mounting bracket and rail.

A substantially planar butterfly valve (120) is received in the aperture so as to be pivotable between a first position, in which the flow duct is substantially closed and the aperture is substantially open, and a second position, in which the flow duct is substantially open and the aperture is substantially closed.

At this time, the quantity of bubbles existing in artificial carbonated spring in a take-out pipe (15) is measured with a measuring device (13), and the solution flow rate adjusting means (14), gas flow rate adjusting means (5) and the like are controlled by means of a control device (16) using a relational expression between a preliminarily set quantity of bubbles and carbon dioxide concentration to obtain a desired concentration of carbon dioxide gas in carbonated spring.

Abstract: A sheet finisher of the present invention includes a punching unit configured to punch a sheet handed over from an image forming apparatus to the sheet finisher. A scrap conveying unit conveys scraps produced from the sheet punched by the punching unit. A hopper stores scraps conveyed thereto by there scrap conveying unit. The hopper is mounted on the front side of the sheet finisher.

Abstract: A sheet finishing apparatus of the present invention includes a gate for conveying sheets of paper ejected from an image forming apparatus by switching to a first conveying path requiring post processing or to a second conveying path requiring no post processing and a manual introduction unit for post-processing the sheets of paper conveyed via the first conveying path by a processing mechanism and ejecting them to a first paper ejection tray and manually leading sheets of paper requiring post processing to the processing mechanism, and when the post process is executed in a manual mode, switches the gate to the second conveying path, and when sheets of paper are taken in from the image forming apparatus, ejects the sheets of paper to a second paper ejection tray via the second conveying path.

The feeding members consist of feeding members (33) provided at the station (14, 15).

Abstract: A sheet feeding roller has an outer circumferential face which includes a generally flat portion and a curved portion. A first pivotable member is movable between a first position and a second position in accordance with the rotation of the sheet feeding roller. The first pivotable member has a first contact face and an extended member extended from a free end portion of the first pivotable member toward a downstream side of a sheet feeding direction. The first pivotable member is moved to the second position when a sheet medium is placed between the sheet feeding roller and the first pivotable member. The first pivotable member is returned to the first position when a trailing end of the sheet medium faces the flat portion of the sheet feeding roller while the extended member of the first pivotable member comes in contact with the sheet medium.

Abstract: A multipurpose tray includes a first tray having a first loading surface and a second tray provided to be freely slidable along a predetermined direction with respect to the first tray. The second tray has a second loading surface with an area continuous to the first loading surface changing according to its slide movement. The first tray is provided with a first lever opening and the second tray is provided with a second lever opening with a changing distance L from the first lever opening along a direction orthogonal to the predetermined direction. The multipurpose tray further includes a lever having one end guided by the first lever opening and the other end guided by the second lever opening, and a sheet pressing part provided at the one end of the lever and regulating the sheet position in the direction orthogonal to the predetermined direction. With this configuration, usability of the multipurpose tray can be improved while it can be made sufficiently small.

Abstract: A mechanism for offsetting or overlapping successive sheets of material in an interfolding machine includes a bed roll rotating at a first speed and a retard roll rotating at a slower, second speed and positioned adjacent the bed roll. As successive sheets are transferred from the bed roll to the retard roll, the sheets are engaged by a nip roller assembly positioned adjacent the retard roll and forming a nip through which the sheets pass. The retard roller forms a deflection or bubble in the individual sheet passing through the nip, which enables a successive sheet to be positioned beneath the previous sheet, thereby forming the overlap of the successive sheet with the previous sheet.

Abstract: In order to produce a gasket that is adapted to be arranged between two components requiring sealing of which at least one contains a first metallic material which is less noble than aluminium and the gasket comprises at least one gasket layer including a plate consisting of a second metallic material which is nobler than the first metallic material, such that contact corrosion on the components requiring sealing is reduced or completely prevented, it is proposed that the gasket layer should comprise a sealing element which is arranged at an outer boundary region of the plate, should consist of an elastomer material and, in the installed state of the gasket, should gasket the gap between the gasket layer and the component which contains the first metallic material in a substantially fluid-tight manner.

Abstract: A stabilizer system provides leveling for a towed harvester vehicle. The harvester includes a hitch having a gimbal mounting to the tractor. The subframe is utilized to accommodate the gimbal and provides for utilizing the mass of the tractor to react to the stabilizer system leveling forces. The harvester utilizes telescoping assemblies that are placed intermediate the hitch and the frame as well as between the axle and the frame. The telescoping assemblies retract and extend to varied positions and provide correction. Flow to extend and retract the telescoping assemblies is provided through a proportional pendulum type valve that increases flow as needed when tilted from horizontal. The flow is increased and decreased in proportion to the amount of tilting from the home vertical position.

Abstract: A roller skate shoe has cavities, closing members and roller assemblies. A sole of the shoe is formed with the cavities. Two sides of each cavity are formed with notched slots. The closing member is accommodated in the cavity. The closing member has a closing side for closing the cavity, and is formed with two cut edges corresponding to the notched slots. The roller assembly mounted on the closing member includes a roller base, a roller body mounted in the roller base, and two control assemblies respectively mounted to two sides of the roller base corresponding to the cut edges and the notched slots. The roller assembly is separated from the cavity using the control assembly so that the closing member may be detached from the roller and reversed to close the cavity to prevent foreign objects from entering the cavity.

Abstract: A size adjusting mechanism for inline roller skate includes a boot seat, and a toe cap longitudinally movably mounted above the boot seat. An engaging element is controlled by a control element to transversely slide in the boot seat. The control element has a curved inner end contacting with an end of the engaging element, and turnable about an eccentric pivot shaft. A first and a second adjusting element are respectively provided on the engaging element and below the toe cap to normally engage with each other and thereby keep the toe cap immovable on the boot seat. When the control element is turned for the engaging element to engage with a point on the curved inner end farther from the pivot shaft, the first adjusting element is disengaged from the second adjusting element, allowing the toe cap to move relative to the boot seat.

Abstract: A seat assembly for a shopping cart includes a gate pivotally mounted to a rear portion of the shopping cart and a seat member made from a plastic material. The seat member is mounted to the gate of the shopping cart via a pivot mechanism to extend in a position to support a child within the shopping cart. The seat member includes a generally curved concave portion having an apex adjacent the gate and a generally straight portion on a side of the seat member opposite the apex of the generally curved concave portion.

Abstract: A short-nosed wheeled walking aid has (a) a substantially horizontal base member having a front perimeter, a rear perimeter, a right perimeter and a left perimeter; (b) a front wheel assembly mounted to and supporting the base member adjacent the front perimeter, (c) a rear wheel assembly mounted to and supporting the base member adjacent the rear perimeter, (d) at least three upright right panels mounted on the base member, (e) a hand grip spaced behind and substantially parallel to the upright rear panel having a ground height (height off the ground, measured from the plane on which the wheels rest) of from about thirty to about forty inches, and (f) a seat assembly mounted to the exterior side of the rear panel, the seat assembly including a seat member translatable from a substantially vertical posture substantially parallel to the rear panel to a substantially horizontal posture substantially normal to the rear panel. A method of assisting the ambulation of a person employs the wheeled walking aid.

Abstract: A cart for transporting cargo is provided having a first extendable member having a roller coupled to the bottom end of the first extendable member and a connection point on the first extendable member proximate to the roller. The cart also has a second extendable member having a roller coupled to the bottom end of the second extendable member and a connection point on the second extendable member proximate to the roller. The cart has a handle having a linkage that is coupled to the top ends of each of the first and second extendable members. One or more bands may be coupled to the connecting point of the first or second member and to a securing point located at any point between the ends of a member so as to secure the cargo in a position against the first and second members.

Abstract: A foldable two wheeled scooter includes a steering post with a front wheel at a lower end and handlebars at an upper end. A support tube connects with a folding mechanism enclosed in a protective housing and supportively connects with a running board having a rear wheel. The protective housing prevents a user from being harmed when moving the scooter from an upright position to a folded down position.

Abstract: A motor vehicle chassis structure which includes an independent suspension system including left and right suspension components for left and right wheels (4, 8) respectively for gripping and travelling along a road surface, each of which suspension components is arranged to allow a constrained up and down movement of the respective wheel relative to the vehicle chassis structure, characterised in that the upper suspension components on one side of the vehicle are cross-linked with the upper suspension components on the other side of the vehicle by a connecting rod (10, 11) and an offset pivot shaft assembly (9, 5), so as to constrain the plane of each wheel towards an orientation which is normal to the road surface while allowing the chassis structure to move vertically and to roll relative to said wheels during cornering, acceleration, deceleration and combinations thereof.

Abstract: A transporter for transporting a first person and one or more riders over a surface. The transporter includes a first support platform for supporting the first person, the first support platform having left and right sides and defining a fore-aft vertical plane and a lateral plane. At least one ground-contacting element is coupled to the first support platform such that the first support platform is capable of tilting in the fore-aft plane about a tilt axis. The at least one ground-contacting element is driven by a motorized drive arrangement so as to cause locomotion of the transporter. A controller commands the motorized drive arrangement. The controller is configured so that at least one of fore and aft sustained motion of the transporter is based at least on fore-aft tilting of the first support platform.

Abstract: A bicycle stem includes a handlebar clamping portion and handlebar clamping member having respective first and second clamp surfaces defining interlocking joints. Abstract: A mission adaptable multi-purpose, collapsible portable cart/utility table, for use in emergency response and disaster situations, camping, hunting and other outdoors activities, which carries medical rescue carts, canoes, small boats, game, or hauled cargo by hand. It transports injured persons or cargo over long, rough terrain and it can broken down into a carrying position, by hand or by back. The cart has optional removable clamps for clamping a conventional transportable carrier, such as a stretcher or stokes-type rescue carrier bed, thereto. The objects being carried can be held by clamps, by fasteners, or through the use of insertions with longitudinally extending channels. It is collapsible, so that it can be disassembled and carried, and then reassembled at another destination along a wilderness journey.

Abstract: Harmful effects of the sun are becoming more prominent than they have been in the past. Thus, appropriately shielding ourselves from the sun has become ever more important. Unfortunately, applying sunscreens to infants may not be preferable thus sunshade umbrellas have been developed that clamp onto a stroller and are user positionable to provide shade to the infant located thereunder. Unfortunately, as the stroller I moved with respect to the sun, the orientation of the umbrella must be varied in order to ensure the infant is in adequate shade. Not applicable to just stroller umbrellas, an automated position in system for an umbrella is thus disclosed. The automated positioning system orients the canopy of the umbrella in relation to the sun so that shade at a predetermine location is provided thereunder.

A throttle body 17 having an injector 17a is disposed in a space below the seat 23 and between the engine 5 and the air cleaner 18. A protector cover 80 covers the throttle body 17 from the upper side.

Abstract: An air bag apparatus includes a folded air bag, an inflator arranged to discharge a high pressure gas into the air bag at a collision of the vehicle, and a container member receiving the air bag, covering a non-deployment side of the air bag, and retaining the inflator. The container member includes a rigid base plate supporting the inflator and the air bag, covering one part of the non-deployment side of the air bag, and supporting a reaction force of the air bag at a deployment of the air bag, and a flexible panel including a connecting portion connected with the base plate, covering the other part of the non-deployment side of the air bag, and being arranged to restrict inflation of the air bag on the non-deployment side at the deployment of the air bag.

Abstract: An air bag formed from two layers of fabric using a one-piece weaving technique has a peripheral seam at the edge of a region adapted to be inflated. Beyond the seam there are a plurality of chambers and gas escaping from the inflated region through the seam must inflate these chambers thus creating a back pressure to reduce the flow of escaping gas.

Abstract: An occupant protection device for a vehicle having several longitudinal rows of seats in a passenger compartment. The occupant protection device includes an inflator for generating gas and a longitudinally elongated roof side airbag mounted to a roof side rail. The roof side airbag includes a plurality of bag portions to inflate in positions corresponding to the rows of seats, respectively. Gas generated from the inflator flows through gas inlets disposed in a substantially middle portion of the roof side airbag into the bag portions generally uniformly, and the roof side airbag inflates along the inside of side glasses of the vehicle.

The toroidal air bag (80) is coupled to the base plate (30). The control module (40) has a control module cover (90) coupled to said generally cylindrical portion (86) disposed within said pocket (120).

Abstract: A micro gas generator 10 is provided primarily for supplying and directing gas from the combustion of pyrotechnic materials into a seatbelt pretensioner 26, for example. Abstract: A three-panel, passenger-side airbag includes main, right, and left panels, and a diffuser provided adjacent a rear side of the main panel. The main panel includes a front impact said and a rear inflation side. The front impact side is formed of upper and lower portions. When the airbag is inflated, the upper portion is configured to be directed toward the upper torso of a passenger and the lower portion in configured to be directed toward the passenger's lower torso, groin, and legs. The diffuser is configured to direct inflation gas toward the lower portion so that the lower portion inflates faster than the upper portion.

Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of methods and apparatus relating to automotive airbags. In one embodiment of the invention, an airbag cushion is provided having four primary panels. A front panel is provided having a substantially rectangular front face. Two substantially triangular side faces are positioned opposite from one another in the inflated airbag cushion, both of which are connected with the front panel. A rear panel including an upper rear face and a lower rear face is also provided. The upper rear face is connected to a first side of both the first and second side faces and the lower rear face is connected to a second side of both the first and second side faces.

Abstract: A chassis braking system for braking a chassis includes a braking unit including a braking surface biased toward a road surface on which the chassis runs and having a first state where movement of the braking surface toward the road surface is locked and a second state where the braking surface abuts against the road surface. A control unit releases the lock of the braking unit and shifts the braking unit from the first state to the second state when predetermined conditions are met.
