The X-shaped pattern is substantially centered over an axis of rotation of the interphalangeal joint.

Each of the third openings receives at least one finger of the user, and at least one of the third openings has a size and shape suitable for receiving and supporting at least two of the user's fingers generally simultaneously upon engagement of the glove with the user's hand. A contoured, resilient pad is mounted in a base portion of the body corresponding to and for engaging the palm of the user's hand. The pad has, along one face, at least one lobed portion and being molded so as to generally fit the contour of the palm, the opposite face being relatively flat for engaging an interior portion of the base portion.

At least one slot may be oriented so that a direction defined by a largest dimension of the at least one slot extends toward one or more of the lower portion and the side portions. The cup may also include linking portions. The lip is operatively connected to the upper and lower portions. The lip may be operatively connected to the side portions or it may be distanced from the cage member at openings between the lip and side portions. It has a mounting plate mountable on an upper rearward surface of the toilet base, and having two spaced apart through holes and two overhanging lateral wings. There is also a hinge base member adapted to support the covering member in a pivotal fashion, the hinge base member having a pair of spaced essentially horizontally extending extension arms defining in part an opening for receiving the mounting plate therebetween. A lid is pivotably mounted on the hinge base to pivot between a first position where a rearward portion of the lid is positioned behind the mounting plate, and a second position where it is not.

Abstract: The present invention is an automated seat and/or lid assembly for a toilet. The invention includes switch automation, wherein movement of a bowl attachment is initiated via a switch, and manual-urging automation, wherein movement of a bowl attachment is initiated via manual urging by a user. An automated attachment assembly may be configured to provide both switch and manual-urging automation concomitantly based upon predetermined logic. Furthermore, the invention includes a method of identifying manual movement and of assisting the movement of a bowl attachment. The invention further includes an object sensor incorporated within the seat or lid to detect the presence or absence of an object near the bowl attachment.

The cover is formed as a plate, suitable for installation proximate to a drain, and capable of bearing sufficient weight, the latter a function of the plate's size and intended use. The flapper includes a frame portion and a hollow float portion rotatably connected to the frame portion. A relative rotational position between the frame portion and the float portion adjusts at least one opening formed between the frame portion and the float portion, and controls an amount of fluid discharged from the tank by variably adjusting buoyancy of the flapper.

The siphon jet toilet has a toilet main unit furnished with a bowl portion, a rim water spout, a drain trap passage for expelling waste using siphon action, a jet water spout opening formed at a position opposite the inlet of the drain trap passage, a rim water channel for supplying flush water to the rim water spout opening, and a jet water channel for supplying flush water to the jet water channel. The jet water channel includes a plurality of branched water conduits, a merging portion for causing flush water from the plurality of branched water conduits to merge and swirl toward the jet water spout opening and a flow aligner for aligning the flow of flush water merged in the merging portion.

Advantageously, the basin is supported by a frame, which frame is sized and shaped to fit into a corresponding aperture in a counter. Wet food is placed into the colander and the colander is placed into the basin. A sink-based coupler mates with a colander-based coupler. The user activates the motor, thereby causing the motor to rotate the colander and centrifugally dry the food. The building-in of the multi-function sink into a counter provides advantages over stand-alone centrifugal food driers in that the location of the food drier is readily known and, in those embodiments that include a faucet assembly, a ready supply of water is available for washing the food before centrifugally drying the food. Further advantageously, when the colander is removed, the multi-function sink may be used as a simple basin having a drain.

The face support allows for the person to rest and breathe comfortably and without the restrictive facial pulling/squeezing found in the prior art. Abstract: A method for controlling a rinsing operation of a washing machine, which a heating course is selected in the rinsing operation to increase sterilization of laundry and removal of residual detergent. The method includes selecting a rinsing mode before a washing operation is started; and performing rinsing operations, comprising heating rinsing water, according to the selected rinsing mode, when the washing operation according to a selected washing course is completed. The rinsing operations are repeated according to kinds and states of laundry, thereby increasing rinsing capacity. Further, since the temperature of the rinsing water is increased using a heating unit in the final rinsing operation or in each of a designated number of times of the rinsing operations in the late stage, including the final rinsing operation, of the repeated rinsing operations, it is possible to increase removal of residual' detergent and sterilization of the laundry, thus allowing the laundry to be sanitized.
