Abstract: Method for measuring a target particle property. A suspended microchannel resonator is calibrated to determine the relationship between a detected mass and a resonance frequency shift of the resonator. The target particle is suspended in a fluid and introduced into the resonator, and the resonator frequency shift due to the particle is measured. Target particle mass is calculated from the resonator frequency shift, the target particle density, and the fluid density. A target particle property such as size or volume is determined from the calculated target particle mass.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a linear actuator in whose housing an electric motor is fastened for the driving of a threaded spindle which receives a spindle nut which converts the rotary movement of the threaded spindle into a translatory movement and with which the actuation rod extending out of the housing is coupled. The threaded spindle has an internal thread circumscribing a hollow space of the threaded spindle, whereas the spindle nut has an external thread in engagement with the internal thread of the threaded spindle so that the actuation bar can be moved in or out of the hollow space of the threaded spindle in the manner of a telescope depending on the direction of rotation of the threaded spindle.

Abstract: An electromotive linear drive with a drive unit having a drive motor and a spindle driven by the drive unit. The drive includes a spindle nut disposed on the spindle. The spindle nut is movable longitudinally on the spindle. A lifting tube is operatively connected to the spindle nut so that the spindle nut moves together with the lifting tube. A connecting part is disposed on a free end of the lifting tube. A braking assembly is disposed in the lifting tube and is operatively connected to the spindle nut via an adjustable, frictional connection. The braking assembly is manipulable. During operation of the drive motor, the spindle nut frictionally engages the braking assembly, preventing rotation of the spindle nut. The frictional connection may be adjusted to permit the spindle nut to rotate with respect to the spindle, thereby manipulating a linear speed component of the lifting tube.

The two intermediate shaft bearings which are adjacent to the intermediate pinion are arranged in a drive-output-side chamber, which is preferably not undercut in the direction of the assembly opening, of the housing. A third intermediate shaft bearing is arranged in a bearing bore of the cover. Said cover is centered on said third intermediate shaft bearing along a parting joint which runs perpendicular to the axis direction.

Abstract: A gear arrangement is provided with a built-up for a shaft or pinion to rotate in unison therewith. The gear includes a gear rim and two flanges arranged axially on both sides and fixed them against the gear rim in a positive-locking connection. A hub, over which the respective other parts of the gear are pushed, is formed on at least one of the parts of the gear. The parts of the gear are held together without the use of rivets or screws by a clamped connection including a clamping ring, which is caused to mesh with a groove extending circumferentially on the circumference of the hub or shaft. The clamped connection presses the respective flange outer surface in a spring-mounted manner. Mutually corresponding elevations and depressions on the axial outer surfaces of the gear rim as well as on the axially inner surfaces of the flanges mesh with one another.
