Abstract: A finger condom includes a flexible finger condom body that has an open end, a closed end and lubricated inner and outer surfaces and defines a volume smaller than one finger of a person before use, and an elastic band extending around the periphery of the open end of the flexible finger condom body for securing the flexible finger condom body to a finger of a user's one hand.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a waterproof glove that includes an outer shell having several finger shells. At least one finger shell includes first, second, and third tongues, the first tongue forming the palm portion of the finger shell, and the second and third tongues forming the back and side portions of the finger shell. The tongues are joined together at their adjacent edges. The glove further includes waterproof strips overlapping the adjacent edges and fastened to the edges.

Abstract: An exemplary embodiment providing one or more improvements includes a golf glove with an attached strap which forces the last two fingers of an impaired leading hand against a golf club grip. This provides the golfer with such an impaired hand the ability to control the club in making a conventional golf swing. Embodiments are unobtrusive and quick and easy to use, causing no delay in the play. In addition, embodiments assists a non-impaired golfer in making a proper golf swing by eliminating the distraction of regripping. Embodiments can be used as a training aid in assisting a golfer in developing habits which lead to a proper golf swing. Finally, embodiments assist golfers of any capability in making proper swings under conditions of moist hands due to perspiration or precipitation.

Abstract: A damage tolerant cut resistant chemical handling glove that is flexible and lightweight comprises a cured, liquid-impervious polymeric latex shell, a knitted cut resistant liner comprising a cotton yarn and at least one cut resistant yarn, the liner being infiltrated with a soft nitrile or polyurethane layer such that the liner bonds to the shell. The soft nitrile or polyurethane layer seals interstices of the cut resistant liner and replicates its rough texture on the external surface of the glove, providing enhanced grip properties. A thin nitrile latex layer applied to and cured together with the polyurethane layer to protect the polyurethane layer from oil or chemical degradation. The intimate seal thus created between the shell and the liner prevents accumulation of liquid there between, which prevents formation of a liquid boundary layer and interference with grip properties of the glove.

The layers and space sized and shaped to fit about the contours of a user's entire scalp, ear, and forehead area. The interlayer space is bounded by the inner exterior and inner interior layer surfaces and a seam (forms??) from the layer's connection, and has no seams creating barriers to the exact positioning of a hot or cold pack where it is required. Abstract: The present invention relates to a garment or article of clothing that is tubular in shape made of stretchable woven material and fits around the wearer's neck for protection or insulation from the cold weather. Without removing the garment, the wearer can reconfigure the manner in which the garment is worn so that it protects or insulates more or less than its original configuration. The wearer can configure the garment to protect or insulate the neck only; neck, ears, and face; or neck, ears, and head. The garment is designed with decorative graphics and patterns to increase the aesthetic value by becoming an integral part of the wearer's overall wardrobe or outfit.

Abstract: A pair of women's pants having a left leg with a left leg inside seam and a right leg with a right leg inside seam, and a smooth panel disposed into a crotch area between the left leg inside seam and the right leg inside seam, and between a front vertical seam and a rear vertical seam. The smooth crotch panel has an outer layer including a fabric substantially identical to the garment fabric of the pants and an inner layer, dimensionally and in shape substantially corresponding to the outer layer and secured to an inner surface of the outer layer. The inner layer preferably includes an absorbent material such as cotton, preferably wicking cotton. By securing a smooth crotch panel directly into the inside of the pants, the need for wearing undergarments is obviated, thereby eliminating unsightly undergarment lines. Further, by removing the uncomfortable cross-seam at the crotch of conventional pants, the invention creates an exceptionally comfortable garment for a woman, while maintaining hygiene.

Abstract: A muscle support garment and method for applying compressive forces to muscles within a treatment area are disclosed. A band of stretchable wrap material is secured to the garment and is wound in an overlapping spiral manner on the inside of the garment, encircling the treatment area. The band of wrap material is longitudinally adjustable to vary its tension and the compressive forces applied, from external of the garment. Overlapping loop retainer structures secured inside the garment slidably entrain and retain the wrap material in an overlapping manner. The garment may include an inner liner.

Abstract: A method for making, through a circular machine for making socks with alternate motion, an item of clothing like an ankle sock in “continuum” stitched without seams to form a single piece made up of a front end elongated in the shape of a pocket, that can be associated with the toe of the foot and comprising a first and a second front portion, a rear end, also pocket-shaped, able to be associated with the heel of the foot and comprising a first and a second rear portion, and a connecting part between the front and rear ends, comprising a sole portion and two side portions, having an opening in which to insert the foot, all of the portions of the ankle sock being made with stitching steps, in which such a method foresees many simultaneous independent yarn-feeders during all of the quoted stitching steps to obtain a single ankle sock.

Abstract: The method and apparatus for securing a lower garment over a garment wearer's stomach to keep the lower garment from drooping without the need to secure the lower garment to an upper garment or to require the need for a separate waist belt. An elastic belt with Velcro is connected to suspender clips which are attached to the lower garment before the garment is worn. When the lower garment is worn, the garment is pulled up with the belt suspenders and secured over the stomach, and when the wearer is comfortable, the Velcro is pressed together. The apparatus are designed to be worn under an upper garment that is not tucked into the lower garment. The benefits of this invention are that it holds up the lower garment without the need for traditional suspenders, and it provides the wearer with a more attractive appearance because the apparatus is covered by the upper garment and holds the stomach in, giving the wearer a slimmer look.

Abstract: In a shield for a helmet according to this invention, an air introducing mechanism portion disposed at a region including a lower end portion of a shield main body portion and its vicinity includes a large number of vent holes extending substantially in a vertical direction so that a traveling wind can flow substantially upward from substantially below substantially along the inner surface of the shield main body portion. This invention can provide a shield for a helmet which, despite that raindrops and the like will enter inside the shield main body portion at a low possibility, can introduce the traveling wind inside the shield main body portion well, and in which the shield main body portion can be worked comparatively well and the strength of the shield main body portion is not particularly impaired.

Abstract: Described herein is protective apparel that comprises a set of spacers attached to an undergarment. Each spacer attaches to the undergarment and is arranged under shroud material that rests over top of the undergarment. Collectively, the spacers maintain the shroud material proximate to each spacer distant from the undergarment worn by the person, thereby preventing continuous contact between the person and portions of the shroud material near the spacers. Multiple spacers form air channels between the spacers, the undergarment and inner portions of the shroud material. The channels permit low resistance airflow within the shroud material. Low resistance airflow within the channels permits air to be easily moved underneath the shroud material to cool the person.

Abstract: A system is provided herein which includes a closet flange insert and at least one spacer to be positioned between the closet flange insert and an installed closet flange. The closet flange insert includes a toilet connecting flange which extends radially outwardly from a through pipe. The through pipe is sized to be inserted into a pipe section of a closet flange. Each spacer includes spaced apart first and second faces, and spaced apart inner and outer edges extending between the first and second faces. The inner edge defines an opening extending through the body, the opening sized to permit passage therethrough of the through pipe of the closet flange insert but not the toilet connecting flange of the closet flange insert. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a system is provided which allows the closet flange insert to be mounted atop an installed closet flange, with one or more spacers therebetween, and with the closet flange insert being flush with surrounding finished flooring.

The urine drops directly into the toilet bowl eliminating the need for a separate drain line. A water line passes through a position valve, to provide rinse water inside the urinal to flush the urine from the inside surfaces. The rinse water also drops into the bowl during flushing. When the urinal is in the stored position, the position valve prevents flow of water to the urinal during normal flushing.

This saddle structure is shaped the same as the entryway opening which is being provided, and it comprises a lower middle portion forming a horizontal bottom wall, and two side saddle members extending upwardly extending components of alignment, with these providing side surfaces for the entryway.

The first panel has a width roughly correlated to a width of the seat to allow a user easy access to the seat and to the panel to manipulate the panel. The invention also has a second panel for enclosing a second portion of the bath environment. The second panel has a hinge and a pair of partitions connected by the hinge so that the partitions pivot about the hinge to allow access to the bath environment distal from the seat. Also included is a stanchion that is disposed on and extends upwardly from an outer edge of the bath environment to a given height. The first panel has a length that extends downwardly from an upper region of the bath environment and ends at the height of the stanchion.

The method and apparatus of the present application control the amount of resistance to manual motion of the patient table without using switches to control the amount of assistance provided during manual positioning. The amount of resistance to manual motion may vary as a function of the velocity and position of the patient table. Further, the resistance to initial manual movement of the patient table may be reduced.

The bed supports a downward positioning of a user's face to maintain an open airway to reduce or eliminate sleeping problems associated with gravity aggravated apnea. Abstract: The present invention provides methods for reducing the level of free aldehydes in coatings for flexible substrates, such as tanned leather, and substantially aldehyde free substrates. The methods comprise applying to the substrate a composition of one or more aqueous emulsion or suspension composition of an acrylic polymer or silicon containing polymer that is made from, or contains one or more lower alkyl alcohol or degrades on storage or in use to form such an alcohol, and one or more water-insoluble to slightly water soluble aldehyde scavenger compound, followed by drying or curing the applied composition to form a coating. In addition, the methods provide enhanced aldehyde scrubbing, especially for acetaldehyde, by applying to a substrate an aqueous acrylic polymer or silicon containing polymer emulsion or suspension comprising a aldehyde scavenger compound that is substantially deprotonated, i.e. by raising the pH composition to 5.5 or higher.
