Abstract: A hinge assembly includes a pivot shaft, a fixing module, a rotatable module, and a fixing member. The pivot shaft includes a first end and a second end opposite to the first end. The fixing module is non-rotatably sleeved on the pivot shaft adjacent to the first end and includes a first magnet. The rotatable module is rotatably sleeved on the pivot shaft adjacent to the second end and includes a second magnet. A polarity of the second magnet faces an opposite polarity of the first magnet such that the first and second magnets creating an attracting force. The rotatable module is pushed to tightly contact the fixing module by the attracting force such that a friction is created between the rotatable module and the fixing module to hold the rotatable module. The fixing member is fixed at the second end of the pivot shaft.

Abstract: The present invention is a slip-knot grip device which attaches to a rope. The invention consists of a male end cap into which an insert is placed and a female end cap into which an insert is placed with the two end caps being connected by a retaining collar. The inserts have a semi-circle channel on their interior side placed so when the left and right inserts are connected together they form a circle opening through which a rope is placed. The female end cap and the male end cap are turned in opposite directions. This makes the end edges of the combined inserts clasp the rope holding the device in place.

Abstract: A high capacity anode preparation apparatus is provided which allows for the processing of raw anodes at production rates of up to, or exceeding, 600 anodes per hour. The processed anodes are suitable for use in the electrorefining of various metal materials, but in particular, in the electrorefining of copper. The apparatus is preferably part of a system which utilizes high speed industrial robots to supply, and remove, anodes to or from the apparatus, and provides the anodes in a horizontal orientation. The apparatus is equipped with a variety of treatment stations which are adapted to treat the raw anode while it is held in a horizontal orientation. The horizontal orientation allows the center of gravity for the apparatus to be kept close to the center of gravity for the apparatus, and thus allows the apparatus to rotate more rapidly than prior art device.

Abstract: An improved system and method for disassembling the valve body assembly of a motor vehicle transmission. Air automatically ejects the internal components of a valve body assembly sub-assembly, thereby eliminating the need for an operator to manually “beat” the sub-assembly to remove said internal components. The process of separating the upper and lower sub-assembly, and of pre-washing the sub-assembly, remain the same as in the prior art. As before, the operator manually removes the valve retainers and plugs in each sub-assembly. The operator then loads either sub-assembly onto tooling specifically designed for that sub-assembly (either upper or lower). Once started, the tooling begins an automated, pre-programmed sequence of (1) clamping the sub-assembly, (2) injecting air into specific valve ports to eject internal components causing them to be automatically ejected into parts bins specified for each valve port, and (3) releasing the sub-assembly that no longer contains any internal parts.

Abstract: To provide a method of producing an outer ring of a self-aligning bearing in which at a raceway-turning step after a heat treatment, the chipping of a turning tool and damage of a raceway can be prevented. Before the heat treatment, an annular groove 2b is formed in that portion of the raceway 2a of the outer ring 2 corresponding to lubrication holes 7, thereby avoiding a situation in which a discontinuous cutting operation occurs because of the lubrication holes 7 at the raceway-turning step after the heat treatment.

Abstract: A leveling rod on adhesive tape and a method of surveying are disclosed. A leveling rod on adhesive tape imprinted with a standardized increment of measure including metric, U.S. units, engineering scale or other increment of linear measure and imprint it in a fashion common to leveling rods on an adhesive tape or label preferably in a descending scale or other format for example ascending scale, or a scale defined as cut fill. TRUE ELEVATION GRADE TAPE could then be applied to any object of interest. After a few mathematical calculations to determine your instrument height you would place at that height, the corresponding gradient imprinted on the TRUE ELEVATION GRADE TAPE on the object of interest and when viewed with any telescopic instrument i.e. a builders level, you could determine the exact elevation of the object of interest. Or any change thereof.

A coil spring is about the pivot axis biases the distal end and end member to the storage position. The end member extends from the distal end crosswise with respect to the mainwidth and terminates in a stud-engaging portion extending in a direction intersecting the plane of the reference surface.
