  • Patent number: RE41212
Abstract: A motor-driven blower, particularly suited for carpet cleaners and other wet vacuuming appliances, includes a rotating separator cup to impede water droplets and foam from being drawn into the blower. The separator cup is removably connected to a spider bracket that is mounted more permanently to one end of the motor shaft. Since the separator cup is not directly connected to the motor shaft, the cup can be removed without disturbing the rest of the blower. Thus, the blower can be run either with or without the separator cup. Moreover, by not attaching the separator cup directly to the motor shaft, the shaft can be made shorter to minimize vibration and noise at high rpm's.

  • Patent number: RE41213
Abstract: A single crystal silicon substrate (1) is bonded through an SiO2 film (9) to a single crystal silicon substrate (8), and the single crystal silicon substrate (1) is made into a thin film. A cantilever (13) is formed on the single crystal silicon substrate (1), and the thickness of the cantilever (13) in a direction parallel to the surface of the single crystal silicon substrate (1) is made smaller than the thickness of the cantilever in the direction of the depth of the single crystal silicon substrate (1), and movable in a direction parallel to the substrate surface. In addition, the surface of the cantilever (13) and the part of the single crystal silicon substrate (1), opposing the cantilever (13), are, respectively, coated with an SiO2 film (5), so that an electrode short circuit is prevented in a capacity-type sensor. In addition, a signal-processing circuit (10) is formed on the single crystal silicon substrate (1), so that signal processing is performed as the cantilever (13) moves.

  • Patent number: RE41215
Abstract: A circuit with a large load driving capability, which is structured by single polarity TFTs, is provided. With a capacitor (154) formed between a gate electrode and an output electrode of a TFT (152), the electric potential of the gate electrode of the TFT (152) is increased by a boot strap and normal output with respect to an input signal is obtained without amplitude attenuation of an output signal due to the TFT threshold value. In addition, a capacitor (155) formed between a gate electrode and an output electrode of a TFT (153) compensates for increasing the electric potential of the gate electrode of the TFT (152), and a larger load driving capability is obtained.

  • Patent number: RE41218
Abstract: A demand-based connection management satellite communication network includes a plurality of geographically distributed earth stations, each earth station having a frame relay protocol-based switch for interfacing message signals between terminal devices and modem unit. One of the earth stations is a hub station whose modem unit includes plural demodulators tuned to carrier frequencies transmitted from other, remote stations. Each remote station has at least one hub-programmable demodulator and/or a programmable modulator. When an originating station receives a request from a terminal device for connectivity with a terminal device at a destination station, it transmits a connectivity request message to the hub station. In response, the hub station checks a demodulator and/or modulator frequency assignment database for demodulator availability.

  • Patent number: 7694359
Abstract: A pull-chain shower valve is interposed between a pipe stub and a shower head of a typical shower and allows a user to turn the water on and off at the shower head assembly without the need to use the main valve controls of the shower. The device uses a ball valve that articulates between an open position wherein water flows out of the shower head and a closed position wherein water does not flow out of the shower head. A standard pull-chain assembly is used to articulate the ball valve between its open position and its closed position. A pull-chain of the pull-chain assembly is pulled in order to advance the ball valve to its next position. Each sufficient pull of the pull-chain advances the ball valve exactly 90 degrees. If the pull-chain is not pulled sufficiently, the ball valve resets to its prior position. A reset mechanism is provided for the pull-chain.

Abstract: A playpen includes a top frame including four corner connectors, and four foldable articulations mounted between the corner connectors respectively. Each of the foldable articulations includes a mounting seat disposed between any two of the corner connectors, two main rods each having a first end pivotally connected with the mounting seat and a second end pivotally connected with the respective corner connector, and two auxiliary rods each having a first end pivotally connected with the mounting seat and a second end pivotally connected with the respective corner connector. Thus, each of the main rods, the respective auxiliary rods, the mounting seat of each of the foldable articulations and the respective corner connector form a substantially parallelogram or trapezium linkage to reinforce the structural strength of the top frame.

Abstract: A bracket system for attaching a headboard to a bed foundation. The bracket system includes a foundation bracket affixed to the bed foundation and a slide bracket affixed to the headboard. Each of the brackets is generally U-shaped having a pair of side plates extending outwardly therefrom. The dimensions and spacing of the side plates enables one bracket to interfit or nest within the other bracket. A securing device passes through both the foundation bracket and the slide bracket to secure the brackets together and affix the headboard to the bed foundation. In an alternate embodiment, the foundation brackets have a lower plate and side plates extending upwardly therefrom and are affixed to the head corners of the bed foundation. The slide bracket is affixed to the headboard and then to the directly to the bed foundation through the foundation bracket. In a further embodiment, the foundation bracket is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 7694367
Abstract: A multiple position support structure is disclosed. The support structure comprising a base, a planar member configured for supporting a patient, a linking assembly connecting the planar member with the base, and an actuator assembly operably connected to the linking assembly and the base for moving the planar member from a first position to a second position. The linking assembly includes a first pair of connecting arms and second pair of connecting arms, each arm being bent at a fulcrum point. The actuator assembly includes a driver means, a screw actuator rotatably connected to the driver means, a driver nut mounted about the screw actuator, and a pull arm pivotably mounted to the driver nut. Rotation of the screw actuator causes linear movement of the driver nut and results the pull arm applying a pulling force to the linking assembly. Extension of the linking assembly causes vertical movement of the planar member.
