    Abstract: A process for separating entrained particles from a medium is provided. The medium flows into an intake port, through a separation region and out an exit port. The process includes disposing a separation region between the intake and outlet ports and positioning a magnet having north and south poles at opposite ends of the separation region. For orientation, the ports are disposed along a flow axis, and the opposite ends are disposed parallel to a pole axis transverse to the flow axis. The method operates by the magnet applying Lorenz force on the particles having one of positive and negative charges away from the separation region, wherein the particles avoid the outlet port without obstructing through the separation region. Similarly, a device for separating the particles is similarly described. In addition, the method and device further include a chamber being disposed adjacent to the separation region to collect the particles.

When sufficient processing capability of the CPU performing the multitask is available for the waveform sample calculation, tone waveform sample values for one or more following blocks are also calculated and stored in a sample buffer in advance. When the CPU is too busy with the other software processing to execute the waveform sample calculation, it is just sufficient that the previously stored tone waveform sample values be read out to be transmitted to the reproduction section.

The roof of the capillary test chamber includes a transparent or translucent window which operates as a “fill to here” line, thereby identifying when enough test sample (a liquid sample, such as blood) has been added to the test chamber to accurately perform a test. The test strip may further include a notch located at the sample application port. The notch reduces a phenomenon called “dose hesitation”.

As a result, crosstalk between specific conductors can be reduced by judiciously choosing the location of the crossover and the particular crossover pattern.

It is desirable that the non-flammable sheet is a low density inorganic fiber paper and is baked either before or after forming the honeycomb-shaped laminate.

    Abstract: New 3-substituted 4-(phenyl-N-alkyl)-piperazine and 4-(phenyl-N-alkyl)-piperidine compounds of Formula (1) wherein X is N, CH, or C, however X may only be C when the compound comprises a double bind at the dotted line; R1 is CF3, OSO2CF3, OSO2CH3, SOR7, SO2R7, COR7, CN, OR3, NO2, CONHR3, 3-thiophene, 2-thiophene, 3-furane, 2-furane, F, Cl, Br, or I; R2 is F, Cl, Br, I, CN, CF3, CH3, OCH3, OH, and NH2; R3 and R4 are independently H or a C1-C4 alkyl; R5 is a C1-C4 alkyl, an allyl, CH2SCH3, CH2CH2OCH3, CH2CH2CH2F, CH2CF3, 3,3,3-trifluoropropyl, 4,4,4-trifluorobutyl, or —(CH2)R6; R6 is a C3-C6 cycloalkyl, 2-tetrahydrofurane, or 3-tetra-hydrofurane; R7 is a C1-C3 alkyl, CF3, or N(R4)2, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are disclosed. In one embodiment, the fragrance or vapor delivery device can be attached and removed to the mask as a user desires.
